Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a three-component system porcelain composite which is capable of sintering at low temperature and has excellent electrical characteristics by adding a proper quantity of lead magnanate tantalate to the two-component system composite consisting of Pb, Fe2O3 and Nb2O5.
CONSTITUTION: 0.05 to 5% in weight of Pb(Mn1/3Ta2/3)O3 is added to the two- component system porcelain composite Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3-Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 which contains 66.57 to 67.82% of PbO, 2.38 to 10.92% of Fe2O3, 20.5 to 25.11% of Nb2O5 and 0.76 to 5.94% of NiO in weight percentage respectively. This composite, which is originally obtained from PbO, Fe2O3, Nb2O5, NiO, MnO and Ta2O5, can be sintered at low temperature range from 800 to 1000°C, it has a greater insulation resistance and a good characteristic concerning the dielectric constant and dielectric loss. Also it is very economical since it can be mass produced.
