Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase greatly the processing capacity of the processor by providing the signal to designate the execution time of each microstep during the microinstruction.
CONSTITUTION: Signal 26 is given to indicate the execution time of the microstep which is presently under execution as microinstruction MI, and at the same time signal 31 is provided to give the forced alteratiom to the execution time indicated by signal 26. These signals are sent to clock control part 19 to be used as the control signals to proeuce execution clodk 55. The data called out from control memory part ROM1 storing the microprogram is strobed by clock 55 to be stored in ROM output register ROR2. The output of ROR2 comproses signal 26 and others as MI, and clock 55 is delivered again when the fixed operation done by MI is over along with the reading operation from ROM1. Thus, the contents of ROR2 is renewed to proceed to the next microstep.
