Abstract
PURPOSE: An ozonizer which permits the recovery of heat energy from silent discharge in the form of electric power and also the realization of closed run cycle by using O3-generator as evaporator and also heat exchange provided otherwhere as condenser.
CONSTITUTION: More than 95% of silent discharge power of the ozonizer 7 are transmitted from the earth metal electrode 19 to the low boiling refrigerator 22 in the form of heat to boil and evaporate the refrigerator 22 under a definite pressure, during which the temperature of the electrode 19 is kept at a temperature ΔTH more than the evaporation temperature TH1. Then, the refrigerator 22 is expanded adiabatically inside the turbine 24 to rotate the turbine, whereby the generator 25 is driven for power generation. The power is used as part of the power supplied to the ozonizer 7 and then the refrigerator 22 is changed into liquid phase by cooling it with the heat exchanger 23, whereupon the temperature of the refrigerator 22 becomes a temperature ΔTW more than the temperature TW of cooling water. Afterwards, the liquid phase refrigerator 22 is compressed adiabatically to evaporation pressure by means of the circulating pump 6. Thus, heat energy upon silent discharge can be recovered by repeating the cycles.
