Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a circuit for shutting off the supply voltage separately through the protection and retention movement of overcurrent simultaneously both in two systems of power varied in potential between each other when the overcurrent is detected in one system.
CONSTITUTION: Power is fed to a load LD from two systems of the power source, +E and -E, varied between each other with respect to OV. When overcurrent runs through a +E power source, with a drop in the voltage due to a resistance R1, a transistor Tr1 begins to conduct allowing a collector current to flow to resistances R4 and R5. Thus, a transistor Tr2 begins to conduct. With the conduction of the transistor Tr2, a collector current flows through resistances R2 and R3 thereby allowing the transistor Tr1 to conduct progressively. This prompts the transistors Tr1 and Tr2 to reach a saturated level. Thus, a state of conduction is maintained through the positive feed back applied to each other. Accordingly, the output terminal OUT1 retains a reverse state from -E potential to +E potential and the OUT2 that from +E potential to -E potential.
