Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit the effective uses of the potential heat of steel material by omitting a preheating process by providing a scale removing apparatus and a hot plating apparatus following a hot processing apparatus for steel material. CONSTITUTION:The metal strip 2 is jointed its end by the welder 3 and then sent to a heating furnace through the loop 4 to heat it at about 900 to 1200 deg.C, followed by molding it into the pipe 7 in the molding cast roll 6. Then, it is cooled down to more than 300 deg.C, preferably 440 to 480 deg.C, at the cooling process 8 and then sent to the scale removing process 9 of a non-oxidative or reductive atmosphere to clean its surface. Then, it is sent to the galvanizing process 10 of a non-oxidative or reductive atmosphere, and then the galvanized pipe is made into a predetermined galvanized pipe through the cooling tank 11, the corrector 12, and the cutter 13 and then sent to the next process by the feeder 15.
