Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject device wherein active carbon deriving means, solid removing means, and active carbon transporting means are provided in an active carbon tank, thereby cleaning active carbon while adsorption treatment of water being carried out.
CONSTITUTION: Water 3 to be treated is discharged out of a porous pipe 4, and rises up in an active carbon layer 2 in the form of upward counter flow. While rising up, the coloring matters, poisonous substances and the like of in the water to be treated are adsorbed to the granular active carbon, and water 5 after the treatment rises up in an overflowing tank 10 and overflows and derived out of the tank. On the other hand, the granular active carbon of the active carbon layer, which has been used in the adsorption treatment is gradually taken out through a granular active carbon deriving part 11, rises up through a connecting pipe 6 together with air bubbles leaving an air blast port 7 or starting water discharged through a starting water inlet port 12. In the course of this process, the granular active carbon is stirred and cleaned, and solids adhering to the surface thereof are exfoliated and exhansted through the top portion of a solid exhanst chamber 8 together with overflowing water, pushed up forked active carbon is dropped by dead weight and returned to the active carbon layer 2.
