Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.光学品質の高分子マトリクスおよび該マトリクスにフォトクロミック特性を 与える少なくとも1つの着色剤からなるフォトクロミック透明有機材料であって 、該着色剤が、スピロオキサジン、スピロピラン、およびクロメンからなる群よ り選択され、前記マトリクスの高分子が、(a)化学式I: を有し、ここでRがHまたはCH3であり、mおよびnが独立して存在する1ま たは2であるエトキシレートビスフェノールAジメタクリレートのホモポリマー 、および(b)ビニル、アクリル、またはメタクリル官能価を有するせいぜい30重 量%の芳香族モノマーを含有するエトキシレートビスフェノールAジメタクリレ ートのコポリマーからなる群より選択されることを特徴とするフォトクロミック 有機材料。 2.暗色化状態のガラスに灰色または茶色の色合いを与えるフォトクロミック着 色剤の混合物を含有することを特徴とする請求の範囲1記載のフォトクロミック 有機材料。 3.前記芳香族モノマーが、ジビニルベンゼン、ジアリルフタレート、ベンジル メタクリレート、ベンジルアクリレート、ナフチルメタクリレートおよびナフチ ルアクリレートからなる群より選択されることを特徴とする請求の範囲1記載の フォトクロミック有機材料。 4.請求の範囲1記載のフォトクロミック有機材料を製造する方法であって、 (a)化学式I: を有し、ここでRがHまたはCH3であり、mおよびnが独立して存在する1ま たは2であるエトキシレートビスフェノールAジメタクリレートのホモポリマー 、および(b)ビニル、アクリル、またはメタクリル官能価を有するせいぜい30重 量%の芳香族モノマーを含有するエトキシレートビスフェノールAジメタクリレ ートのコポリマーからなる群より選択される高分子を重合させる工程を含み、 該高分子が、ジアゾラジカル開始剤の存在下であり、かつ過酸化物の存在し ない状態で重合されることを特徴とする方法。 5.RがHであり、m=n=2であることを特徴とする請求の範囲4記載の方法 。 6.前記重合が、スピロオキサジン、スピロピランおよびクロメンからなる群よ り選択される少なくとも1つのフォトクロミック着色剤の存在下で行われること を特徴とする請求の範囲5記載の方法。 7.少なくとも1つの着色剤を前記高分子のマトリクス中に取り込む工程を含む ことを特徴とする請求の範囲4記載の方法。 8.前記フォトクロミック着色剤が、熱拡散工程により取り込まれることを特徴 とする請求の範囲7記載の方法。 9.請求の範囲1記載のフォトクロミック透明有機材料からなるフォトクロミッ ク製品。 10.請求の範囲1記載のフォトクロミック透明有機材料からなる眼鏡用レンズ。
