Abstract
La invencion se refiere a materiales orgánicos transparentes fotocromicos particularmente utiles para la produccion de lentes orgánicos fotocromicos; el material incluye una matriz de polímero de calidad optica y por lo menos un agente colorante que da propiedades fotocromicas a la matriz; se selecciona el agente colorante entre el grupo de las espirooxacinas, los espirpiranos y los cromenos; se selecciona el polímero de la matriz entre el grupo de homopolímeros de dimetacrilato etoxilado de bisfenol A con la formula (I) en la cual R es H o CH3, y m y n representan independientemente 1 o 2 , y de los copolímeros de este dimetacrilato que contiene a lo mucho 30% en peso de un monomero aromático con funcionalidad vinílica, acrílica o metacrilica.
