Abstract

La invencion se refiere a materiales orgánicos fotocromicos que consisten de una matriz polimérica de calidad optica y por lo menos un colorante que imparte propiedades fotocromicas a la matriz; el colorante es seleccionado de espirooxazinas, espiropiranos y cromenos, el polímero que constituye la matriz es un copolímero de 30 a 95% en peso de dimetacrilato de bisfenol A etoxilado y 5 a 70% en peso de un oligomero de poliuretano que tiene funcionalidad terminal di- o triacrilato o di- o trimetacrílica; dichos materiales fotocromicos son muy adecuados para la produccion de lentes oftálmicos y protectores del sol.
