Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.生検器具の先端を、組織塊の選択された領域中への挿入に際して位置決めす るための装置であり、ディスプレイ手段を含むシステム中において使用されるた めの装置であって、 該組織塊のイメージを提供する超音波スキャナであって、該選択された領域を 含む該組織塊のイメージが該ディスプレイ手段上に表示される超音波スキャナと 、 該生検器具の先端をある軌跡で保持する保持体と、 該保持体に結合された、該組織塊中への挿入以前に該生検器具の該先端の現在 位置に対応する信号を生成する、該超音波スキャナ以外の手段であって、該信号 は該生検器具の該先端の該選択された領域に対する現在位置を現すシンボルによ って該ディスプレイ手段上に表示される、手段と、 を有する装置であって、 該シンボルを該選択された領域に合わせることは、該生検器具の該先端の軌跡 が該選択された領域に交わるであろう位置に該支持体を移動することに相当する 、 装置。 2.前記支持体は、互いに直交方向に設けられた第1および第2の支持トラック を有している、請求項1に記載の装置。 3.信号を生成するための前記手段は、少なくとも1つのエンコーダを有してい る、請求項1に記載の装置。 4.前記超音波スキャナは、前記組織塊のリアルタイムイメージングを提供する 、請求項1に記載の装置。 5.前記超音波スキャナは、前記生検器具の前記先端が前記組織塊中に挿入され た後の該生検器具の該先端のイメージングを提供する、請求項4に記載の装置。 6.前記支持体は、前記生検器具を取外し可能に保持することにより、該生検器 具の前記先端が前記組織塊中に挿入された後に、該生検器具のフリーハンド操作 を可能にするように該生検器具が該支持体から解除され得る、請求項1に記載の 装置。 7.前記超音波スキャナは、第1の圧迫面を形成し、前記装置はさらに、第2の 圧迫面を形成する組織支持台を有しており、前記組織塊は該第1および該第2の 圧迫面の間で固定される、請求項1に記載の装置。 8.組織支持台をさらに有しており、前記第1の支持トラックは該組織支持台に 取外し可能につなぎ止められる、請求項2に記載の装置。 9.ダミーX線フィルムカセットをさらに有しており、前記第1の支持トラック はダミーX線フィルムカセットにつなぎ止められた、請求項2に記載の装置。 10.前記超音波スキャナは、超音波トランスデューサおよび端部を有する圧迫 板を有しており、該超音波トランスデューサは該圧迫板に対して、該超音波トラ ンスデューサが、前記組織塊のうち該圧迫板の該端部の近傍またはこれを越えて 延びる領域のイメージングを提供するような角度で設けられている、超音波請求 項1に記載の装置。 11.前記超音波スキャナは、超音波トランスデューサおよび端部を有する圧迫 板を有しており、該超音波トランスデューサおよび該圧迫板は水平面に対して、 該超音波トランスデューサが、前記組織塊のうち該圧迫板の該端部の近傍または これを越えて延びる領域のイメージングを提供するような角度で設けられている 、超音波請求項1に記載の装置。 12.前記ディスプレイ手段は、複数の直交するビューのうち選択されたビュー からの前記組織塊のイメージを表示する、請求項1に記載の装置。 13.生検器具の先端を、組織塊の選択された領域中への挿入に際して位置決め するための装置であり、ディスプレイ手段および該組織塊のイメージを提供する 超音波スキャナを含むシステム中において使用されるための装置であって、 生検器具の先端をある軌跡で保持する保持体と、 該保持体に結合された、該組織塊中への挿入以前に該生検器具の該先端の現在 位置に対応する信号を生成する、該超音波スキャナ以外の手段とを有する装置で あって、 該ディスプレイ手段は、組織塊の該選択された領域を含むイメージおよび、該 生検器具の該先端の該選択された領域に対する現在位置を現すシンボルを表示す ることにより、該シンボルを該選択された領域に合わせることは、該生検器具の 該先端の軌跡が該選択された領域に交わるであろう位置に該支持体を移動するこ とに相当する、 装置。 14.前記支持体は、互いに直交方向に設けられた第1および第2の支持トラッ クを有している、請求項13に記載の装置。 15.信号を生成するための前記手段は、少なくとも1つのエンコーダを有して いる、請求項13に記載の装置。 16.前記超音波スキャナは、前記組織塊のリアルタイムイメージングを提供す る、請求項13に記載の装置。 17.前記超音波スキャナは、前記生検器具の前記先端が前記組織塊中に挿入さ れた後の該生検器具の該先端のイメージングを、提供する、請求項16に記載の 装置。 18.前記支持体は、前記生検器具を解除可能に保持することにより、該生検器 具の前記先端が前記組織塊中に挿入された後に、該生検器具のフリーハンド操作 を可能にするように該生検器具が該支持体から解除され得る、請求項13に記載 の装置。 19.前記超音波スキャナは、第1の圧迫面を形成し、前記システムはさらに、 第2の圧迫面を形成する組織支持台を有しており、前記組織塊は該第1および該 第2の圧迫面の間で固定される、請求項13に記載の装置。 20.組織支持台をさらに有しており、前記第1の支持トラックは該組織支持台 に取り外し可能につなぎ止められた、請求項14に記載の装置。 21.ダミーX線フィルムカセットをさらに有しており、前記第1の支持トラッ クはダミーX線フィルムカセットにつなぎ止められた、請求項14に記載の装置 。 22.前記超音波スキャナは、超音波トランスデューサおよび端部(edge)を有す る圧迫板を有しており、該超音波トランスデューサは該圧迫板に対して、該超音 波トランスデューサが、前記組織塊のうち該圧迫板の該端部の近傍またはこれを 越えて延びる領域のイメージングを提供するような角度で設けられている、請求 項13に記載の装置。 23.前記超音波スキャナは、超音波トランスデューサおよび端部(edge)を有す る圧迫板を有しており、該超音波トランスデューサおよび該圧迫板は水平面に対 して、該超音波トランスデューサが、前記組織塊のうち該圧迫板の該端部の近傍 またはこれを越えて延びる領域のイメージングを提供するような角度で設けられ ている、請求項13に記載の装置。 24.前記ディスプレイ手段は、複数の直交するビューのうち選択されたビュー からの前記組織塊のイメージを表示する、請求項13に記載の装置。 25.生検器具の先端を、組織塊の選択された領域中へ所定の軌跡を有するよう に位置決めを行うための方法であり、 該組織塊を固定する工程と、 該組織塊の該選択された領域を含む超音波イメージを生成する工程と、 該組織塊の該選択された領域を含む該超音波イメージを表示する工程と、 該生検器具の先端をある軌跡で保持する保持体を提供する工程と、 該超音波イメージ以外の、該生検器具の該先端が該組織塊中へ挿入される以前 に該生検器具の該先端の現在位置に対応する信号を生成する工程と、 該生検器具の該先端の該選択された領域に対する現在位置を現すシンボルを、 該信号に応答して表示する工程と、 該シンボルが該選択された領域に合わさる位置に該支持体を移動することによ って、該生検器具の該先端の軌跡が該選択された領域に交わるようにする工程と 、 を包含する方法。 26.前記組織塊のリアルタイムの超音波イメージを提供する工程をさらに有す る、請求項25に記載の方法。 27.前記組織塊および前記生検器具の前記先端のリアルタイムの超音波イメー ジを提供しながら該生検器具の該先端を該組織塊中に挿入する工程と、 該組織塊および該生検器具の該先端の該超音波イメージを表示する工程と、 該生検器具の該先端の該組織塊中への挿入を、該表示されたイメージに応答し てガイドする工程と、 をさらに包含する、請求項26に記載の方法。 28.前記生検器具の前記先端が前記組織塊中に挿入された後に、前記支持体か ら前記生検器具を解除する工程と、 該生検器具をフリーハンド操作することによって、該組織塊中における該生検 器具の該先端の該軌跡を変更する工程と、 をさらに包含する、請求項25に記載の方法。 29.前記組織塊の超音波イメージを表示する前記工程は、該組織塊の立面ビュ ーを表示することを包含する、請求項25に記載の方法。 30.前記組織塊および前記生検器具の前記先端の超音波イメージを表示する前 記工程は、該組織塊および該生検器具の該先端の平面ビューを表示することを包 含する、請求項27に記載の方法。
