Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.気球カテーテルを、ガイドワイヤーの近位末端を越えて装着すること、ここ でガイドワイヤーの一定直径部分が、遠位のガイドワイヤー口を有するカテーテ ルの内腔に受け入れられる、 患者の身体管腔内の標的位置に気球を配置するために、気球カテーテルを、ガ イドワイヤーの一定直径部分上で軸方向に進行させること、及び カテーテル内腔を通じる液体膨脹媒体によって、気球カテーテルの気球を膨脹 させること、 を含む、ガイドワイヤー上で気球カテーテルを導入する方法であって、該ガイド ワイヤー口が、ガイドワイヤーの一定直径部分上での自由な動きを許容するが、 気球が膨脹させられる間の膨脹媒体の損失を阻止するところの固定された直径を 有する、気球カテーテルを導入する方法。 2.気球が、10気圧の圧力まで膨脹させられ、且つ膨脹媒体の損失が2cc/ 分未満である請求項1の方法。 3.気球カテーテルが、約50g未満の力によって、ガイドワイヤー上を軸方向 に進行させられうる請求項1又は2の方法。 4.気球カテーテルが血管内に配置される請求項1の方法。 5.分離した可動性のガイドワイヤーと組み合わせて使用するための気球カテー テルにおいて、 気球カテーテルが、遠位末端、及び近位末端、該末端の間を延びる膨脹内腔、及 び膨脹内腔の遠位末端におけるガイドワイヤー口を有するカテーテル本体と、該 カテーテル本体の遠位末端近傍に在り、膨脹内腔から液体膨脹媒体を受け取るた めに結合されている気球とを含み、 ここで該ガイドワイヤー口は、上記の分離した可動性ガイドワイヤーの一定直径 部分上での自由な動きを許容し且つ気球が膨脹させられる間の膨脹媒体の損失を 阻止するように選択された固定された直径の領域を有するところの気球カテーテ ル。 6.ガイドワイヤー口が、ガイドワイヤーを摺動可能に受け入れるための軸方向 の内腔を有するチューブを含む請求項5の気球カテーテル。 7.軸方向の内腔が、0.001mm〜0.03mmの範囲の、ガイドワイヤー 上の環状の間隙を与えるところの直径を有する請求項6の気球カテーテル。 8.チューブが、0.25mm〜5mmの範囲の長さ及び約0.2mm〜1mm の範囲の軸方向内腔の直径を有する請求項6の気球カテーテル。 9.チューブが、ポリエチレン、ポリテトラフロロエチレン、ポリイミド、及び ポリウレタンから成る群より選ばれるポリマーから成る請求項8の気球カテーテ ル。 10.気球を通って延びるコイル支持部材をさらに含む請求項5の気球カテーテ ル。 11.ガイドワイヤーに対して封止するために、膨脹内腔の近位末端に、止血シ ールをさらに含む請求項5の気球カテーテル。 12.請求項5乃至11のいずれか1つの気球カテーテルと、一定直径部分を有 する可動性ガイドワイヤーとの組み合わせを含み、ここでガイドワイヤーは気球 カテーテルの膨脹内腔から分離しているが、気球カテーテルの膨脹内腔内に受け 入れられ得るところの気球カテーテルシステム。
