Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.配向したエクレトロルミネセント有機化合物の異方性活性層を備えるエレク トロルミネセント装置であって、該層は2つの電極層の間に位置し、少なくとも 1つの電極層は発光される光に対して透過性があり、動作中には該エレクトロル ミネセント装置は偏光した光を発光する、エクレトロルミネセント装置において 、エレクトロルミネセント化合物は更に、配向した液晶単位を含むか又は配向し た液晶化合物と混合されることを特徴とするエレクトロルミネセント装置。 2.少なくとも1つの電極層は配向を誘導する表面を有することを特徴とする請 求項1記載のエレクトロルミネセント装置。 3.電極層は、一方向にこすった導電性ポリマー層を含むことを特徴とする請求 項2記載のエレクトロルミネセント装置。 4.ポリマー層はポリ−3,4−エチレンジオキシチオフェンを含むことを特徴 とする請求項3記載のエレクトロルミネセント装置。 5.ポリマー層はポリアニリンを含むことを特徴とする請求項3記載のエレクト ロルミネセント装置。 6.請求項3記載のエレクトロルミネセント装置を製造するにあたり、次の工程 : −基板に第1電極層として透明な導電性ポリマー層を設け、 −該ポリマー層を配向方向に一方向にこすり、 −液晶及びエレクトロルミネセント特性を有する有機化合物の液層を設け、該 化合物は配向方向に対して平行に配向し、 −液層を固相に転化して、該化合物の配向を固定し、これにより異方性の活性 層を形成し、 −活性層に第2電極層を設ける ことを含むことを特徴とするエレクトロルミネセント装置の製造方法。 7.活性層を製造するにあたり、有機エレクトロルミネセント化合物及び液晶化 合物の混合物を用いることを特徴とする請求項6記載の方法。 8.請求項1記載のエレクトロルミネセント装置の液晶ディスプレイ装置のバッ クライトとしての使用。
