Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 開始剤を用いて、エマルジョン中においてモノビニルモノマー及びジビニ ルモノマー及び/又はポリビニルモノマー(架橋剤)を重合することにより、開 放細孔を有する球状粒子が製造する方法であって、 i.存在する水の全量が75−99%(w/w)、好ましくは90−99%で あるw/o/wエマルジョンを調製する工程、および ii.その後、重合を開始し、重合工程の後、任意に篩分けした後に、反応混 合物から粒子を単離する工程を含み、 前記エマルジョン中には油中水型エマルジョンを含む液滴が乳化されており、 該液滴中の油相はビニルモノマーと逆エマルジョンを提供する乳化剤とを含み、 かつ該液滴は2,000μm未満の直径を有する ことを特徴とする方法。 2. 第1段階で約5−45%、好ましくは10−30%(w/w)の油相を含 む、油中水型エマルジョン(w/oエマルジョン)を調製し、かつ第2段階でw /o/wエマルジョンを形 成するために残りの水を添加することからなる2段階でw/o/wエマルジョン を調製することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 単離された粒子が10μm−2,000μmの範囲のサイズ(直径)を有 し、かつ粒子の細孔系が細孔によって相互に連結されている球状中空で形成され ており、 a.該球の直径が粒子の直径の<1/9であり、かつ b.連結細孔の直径が該球の直径の約1/10−1/3であることを特徴とす る請求項1または2に記載の方法。 4. 開始剤が、例えばアゾ型の、30−90℃の範囲の活性化温度を有するラ ジカル重合用熱開始剤であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項 に記載の方法。 5. 乳化剤が、第1段階におけるエマルジョンの油相の<30%を構成するこ とを特徴とする請求項2ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 6. ビニルモノマーを、ビニル基がエステル基もしくはカルボキシ基中のカル ボニル炭素又は芳香族環に直接結合している化合物、特に、モノアクリレートエ ステル類もしくはジアクリレートエステル類又は対応メタクリレートエステル類 、ビニル ベンゼンもしくはジビニルベンゼンから選択することを特徴とする請求項1ない し5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 7. 乳化剤が、(a)C10-25カルボン酸と糖アルコールとのモノエステル又 はジエステル、及び(b)親水性セグメント及び疎水性セグメントの両者を有す るブロック共重合体から選択される化合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1ない し6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 8. 50μm−2,000μmの範囲内の直径を有し、かつ a.粒子直径の<1/9の直径の球状中空;及び b.該球に対する及び粒子表面上の開口径が該球の直径の約1/10−1/3 である連結細孔、 を有する細孔系を含む開放細孔を有する球状ポリマー粒子群。 9. 前記ポリマーが、好ましくは、ビニル基がエステル基もしくはカルボキシ 基に含まれるカルボニル炭素又は芳香族環に直接結合している化合物、特に、モ ノアクリレートエステル類もしくはジアクリレートエステル類又は対応メタクリ レートエステル類、ビニルベンゼンもしくはジビニルベンゼンから選択されるビ ニルモノマーから選択されるモノマー単位で形成されることを特徴とする請求項 8に記載の球状粒子群。 10. 前記粒子群が請求項1ないし7のいずれか1項に従って製造されること を特徴とする請求項8ないし9のいずれか1項に記載の粒子群。 11. 請求項8ないし10のいずれか1項に記載の粒子群の、液体クロマトグ ラフィーにおける支持体又は固相合成における支持体又は細胞培養担体としての 使用。
