置を提供する。 【解決手段】 蓋7を容器口縁部9に押圧する耐熱弾性
体6はリング状で、その内径が容器8口径にほぼ等し
い。磁束を集中させて加熱効果を増加させる磁性体4は
リング状で、耐熱弾性体6の内側にこれと間隙をおいて
かつ底面同士が同レベルとなるように配置されている。
蓋7の容器口縁部対応部分を加熱するリング状の誘導加
熱用コイル3が、磁性体4と耐熱弾性体6との間隙を埋
めかつその底面が磁性体4および耐熱弾性体6の各底面
とほぼ面一である環状下方突出部3cを有している。
Description
だ蓋をガラス容器等に高周波加熱シールするのに使用さ
れる、容器に対する蓋の高周波加熱シール装置に関す
る。
グ状の誘導加熱用コイルと、蓋を容器口縁部に押圧する
耐熱弾性体とを備え、誘導加熱用コイルに高周波電流を
流して蓋の容器口縁部対応部分を誘導加熱するととも
に、耐熱弾性体により蓋を容器口縁部に押圧することに
より、容器に蓋を高周波加熱シールする装置は、従来よ
り知られている(特公昭47−50156号公報参
照)。
用磁性体を配置し、加熱効果を増加させることも知られ
ている(実公昭60−13767号公報参照)。
る蓋の高周波加熱シール装置により、ガラス容器のよう
にシール面が平坦でないものに蓋をシールする場合、耐
熱弾性体の厚みが薄いと、加圧時に容器と蓋を密着させ
る効果が乏しくかつ耐久性にも欠けるため、耐熱弾性体
の厚みは2〜3ミリ必要となる。
と厚くとすると、誘導加熱用コイルと蓋の距離が離れる
ために、蓋の加熱すべき部分における磁界の集中性が弱
まって、必要な加熱効果が得られなくなってしまう。し
たがって、容器の口径より大きい蓋をシールする場合
や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシールする場合には、蓋の
外周縁部に沿って発熱が起こるため、シール部が十分加
熱されずにシール強度不足になったり、また、十分なシ
ール強度を得るべく強く加熱すると熱量過多となり、蓋
の外周縁部や開封用つまみ部に焦げが発生するという問
題があった。
蓋をシールする場合や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシール
する場合であっても、十分なシール強度が得られ、かつ
蓋の外周縁部や開封用つまみ部に焦げが発生することが
なく、しかも、耐熱弾性体の厚みを厚くできるため、ガ
ラス容器のようにシール面が平坦でないものに対しても
十分なシール性が得られる容器に対する蓋のヒートシー
ル装置を提供することにある。

隙をおいてかつ底面同士が同レベルとなるように配置さ
れ、コイルが、磁性体と耐熱弾性体との間隙を埋めかつ
その底面が磁性体および耐熱弾性体の各底面とほぼ面一
である環状下方突出部を有していることを特徴とするも
のである。
ール装置によると、誘導加熱用コイルに高周波電流を流
したさいに生じる磁束は、磁束集中用磁性体により集め
られ、蓋の容器口径のすぐ内側に対応する部分が強く加
熱される。この熱が蓋の容器口縁部対応部分すなわち蓋
のシールされるべき部分に伝わり、蓋の容器口縁部対応
部分が耐熱弾性体に押圧されることにより、蓋が均一に
ヒートシールされる。
は、弱められることはなく、耐熱弾性体の厚みを厚くし
ても、加熱性能が低下することがない。

ール装置は、金属箔層を含んだ蓋(7) をガラス容器口縁
部(9) に加熱シールするもので、蓋(7) の容器口縁部対
応部分を加熱するリング状の誘導加熱用2次コイル(3)
、蓋(7) を容器口縁部(9) に押圧する耐熱弾性体(6)
、磁束を集中させて加熱効果を増加させる磁性体(4)
を備えたシールブースタ(1) と、2次コイル(3) と磁気
結合するようにシールブースタ(1) の上方に配置された
1次コイル(2) とを備えている。2次コイル(3) は、1
ターンコイルを形成するためのスリットを有している。
1次コイル(2) はプラスチック等の絶縁物に内蔵され
て、シールブースタ(1) 上方で固定されており、シール
ブースタ(1) は1次コイル(2) に固定されている。
が3mmの断面形状が方形のリング状であり、その内径
は容器(8) の口径に等しく、その外径は容器口縁部(9)
の外径よりも大きくなされている。

(6)の底面と同レベルで、その厚さは耐熱弾性体(6) よ
りも厚くなされている。

耐熱弾性体(6) の底面と同レベルである垂直部(3a)と、
耐熱弾性体(6) の上側にあって内周面が磁性体(4) の外
周面に接する水平部(3b)と、水平部(3b)内周縁部より下
方に突出し磁性体(4) と耐熱弾性体(6) との間隙を埋め
かつその底面が磁性体(4) および耐熱弾性体(6) の各底
面と面一である環状下方突出部(3c)とよりなる。下方突
出部(3c)の肉厚Tは、厚すぎるとシールに不要な蓋(7)
の内側を余分に加熱することになる。下方突出部(3c)の
肉厚Tは、容器と蓋(7) の材質構成および寸法・形状等
により決定すべきものであり、0.5mm〜2ミリの範
囲が妥当である。垂直部(3a)外側には水冷用パイプ(5)
が接合されている。
によりガラス容器(8) の口縁部(9)に金属箔層を含んだ
蓋(7) を高周波加熱シールするには、次のようにして行
う。
上面が耐熱製樹脂(11)でコーティングされたアルミニウ
ム箔層(12)と、これの底面に接着剤層(13)を介して設け
られた高周波加熱シール材層(14)とによって構成されて
おり、開封用つまみ部(7a)が設けられている。
れた昇降装置(図示略)の台座上の所定位置に、ガラス
容器(8) を載せ、この容器(8) に蓋(7) を被せる。つい
で昇降装置の台座を上昇させ、容器(8) に被せられた蓋
(7) をシールブースタ(1) に押し付ける。ここで、1次
コイル(2) に高周波電流を例えば1秒間流す。すると、
2次コイル(3) に誘導電流が流れ、2次コイル(3) 内に
磁界が発生する。この磁束は、2次コイル(3) 内側に配
置された磁性体(4) により集められ、容器(8)の口径よ
り内側部分に対応する蓋(7) の部分に均一な渦電流を集
中的に発生させる。これにより容器(8) の口径より内側
部分に対応する蓋(7) の部分が加熱され、この熱がさら
に蓋(7) の容器口縁部対応部分の高周波加熱シールされ
るべき部分に伝わり、蓋(7) が容器(8) にシールされ
る。冷却時間として例えば0.5秒間とって冷却し、加
圧を解放してシールは完了する。
の弾性により十分に変形可能であるため、蓋(7) の高周
波加熱シール材層(14)が耐熱弾性体(6) により押圧され
て、蓋(7) が容器口縁部(9) に確実にシールされる。
使用されていない従来のものとについて、シール強度を
比較した結果を表1に示す。この評価で使用された蓋
(7) は、上面が耐熱製樹脂(11)でコーティングされた5
0μmのアルミニウム箔層(12)と、これの底面に接着剤
層(13)を介して設けられた50μmの高周波加熱シール
材層(14)とによって構成されており、直径が56mmで
かつ5mmの開封用つまみ部(7a)が設けられている。ガ
ラス容器(8) の外径は52mmである。シール強度は、
図3に鎖線で示す箇所、すなわち、つまみ部(7a)と、つ
まみ部から90度、180度および270度離れた非つ
まみ部とにおいて、蓋(7) を15mm幅にカットし、9
0度方向に引張り測定した。表1には10回測定した結
果の平均値を示す。
ものに比べて、シール強度が大きくなっているが、この
差は開封用つまみ部(7a)において特に大きい。また、実
施例のものは、測定箇所の違いによるばらつきが非常に
小さくなっている。また、2次コイル(3) のスリット
は、スリット部において磁力線がゼロとなり、シール性
に悪影響を与えるものであるが、上記結果より、本発明
の実施例のものは、スリットの悪影響を受けることなく
蓋(7) を容器口縁部(9) に確実にシールできることも分
かる。
トが使用されているが、フェライト以外でも、磁気抵抗
の低い、したがって透磁率の高いものであればよく、ニ
ッケル、コバルト等の金属の磁性体も使用できる。ま
た、磁性体(4) の形状はリング状に限らず円盤状であっ
てもよい。2次コイル(3) および磁性体(4) の大きさに
ついては、蓋(7) および容器(8) の形状や材質などを考
慮して決定される。2次コイル(3) には、銅、アルミニ
ウム、真鍮などの固有抵抗の小さい金属が使用される。
ー以外の耐熱合成ゴムやポリイミドフィルム等の耐熱合
成樹脂フィルムであってもよい。耐熱弾性体(6) の厚み
は、1.0mm以上で3.0mm以下が好ましい。耐熱
弾性体(6) の厚みが薄すぎると、容器口縁部(9) の凹凸
が大きい場合にその凹凸を吸収するのが難しい。
ム箔層(12)以外の金属箔層であってもよい。アルミニウ
ム箔の場合は、その厚さは6〜100μm、好ましくは
20〜50μmである。
(8) の高周波加熱シールについて説明したが、この発明
の装置は、その他例えば合成樹脂製容器等の容器にも適
用可能である。
は1次コイル(2) に固定されているが、シールブースタ
(1) を回転自在のロータリー加圧板の回転軸を中心とす
る同一円周上に等間隔をおいてあけられた複数の孔に組
込み、シールブースタ(1) が1次コイル(2) に対して移
動できるようにしてもよい。シールブースタ(1) をロー
タリー加圧板に組み込むことにより、高速で安定確実な
自動シール装置を実現することができる。
シール装置によると、誘導加熱用コイルに高周波電流を
流したさいに生じる磁束は、磁束集中用磁性体により集
められ、蓋の容器口径のすぐ内側に対応する部分が強く
加熱される。この熱が蓋の容器口縁部対応部分すなわち
蓋のシールされるべき部分に伝わり、蓋の容器口縁部対
応部分が耐熱弾性体に押圧されることにより、蓋が均一
にヒートシールされるので、容器の口径より大きい蓋を
シールする場合や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシールする
場合であっても、十分なシール強度が得られ、かつ蓋の
外周縁部や開封用つまみ部に焦げが発生することがな
い。
熱性能が低下することがないので、耐熱弾性体を厚くす
ることができ、高周波加熱シールのさいに容器口縁部の
凹凸を吸収することが容易となる。

Claims (1)
- 【請求項1】 蓋(7) の容器口縁部対応部分を加熱する
リング状の誘導加熱用コイル(3) と、蓋(7) を容器口縁
部(9) に押圧する耐熱弾性体(6) と、磁束を集中させて
加熱効果を増加させる磁性体(4) とを備えている、容器
に対する蓋の高周波加熱シール装置において、耐熱弾性
体(6) はリング状で、その内径が容器(8) 口径にほぼ等
しく、磁性体(4) はリング状または円盤状で、耐熱弾性
体(6)の内側にこれと間隙をおいてかつ底面同士が同レ
ベルとなるように配置され、コイル(3) が、磁性体(4)
と耐熱弾性体(6) との間隙を埋めかつその底面が磁性体
(4) および耐熱弾性体(6) の各底面とほぼ面一である環
状下方突出部(3c)を有していることを特徴とする、容器
に対する蓋の高周波加熱シール装置。
