Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、容器本体の開口部に、プラスチック材料より
なるOs材を高周波#V導導熱熱より接合する複合容器
の製造方法に関する。
一般に、アルミ箔を内層に使用し、プラスチックフィル
ムや紙をラミネートした包材で容器胴体を形成し、これ
の底部開口を折りたーみ重合してヒートシールせしめて
容器本体を形成し、これの開口部にプラスチック口部材
を接合してなる複合容器が提案されている。このような
容器において、口部材管容器本体の開口部に接合する手
段としては、一般に熱風や熱板を用い、接合部を加熱圧
着する方法、あるいは、高周波誘導加熱によりヒートシ
ールする方法などが適用されていたが、前者は、外側か
ら加熱する手段をとるため、時間が長くか\す、また接
合部の均一加熱が困難であることから、押圧される接合
部の容器外面が焦げたり、シール不良が生ずるなどの問
題点があった。
また、後者の高周波誘導加熱によるヒートシール手段は
、当該接合部のアルミ箔が内部発熱する加熱方式のため
、接合部の容器外面に影w’を与えないという特長は認
められるが、次に述べるような重大な問題点がある。
即ち、このアルミ箔を内層として用いた複合容器+11
には、オノ、−図に示すように、容器胴体()a)の長
手方向にそって包材の両端縁を重合接着した重合部(図
示略)と、容器胴体(/ a)の底部開口端を折りた\
み重合し、ヒートシールして形成せる重合底部(/b)
がある。このように構成された容器(1)。開口部1、
yp3図、示すよう5熱mu性ッ。
スチツク材料よりなる口部材(2)を仮嵌めし、この部
分を拘束、解放可能に構成され、かつ、電気絶縁性、断
熱性を有するぺ゛−クライトなどよりなる圧着具(3)
にて容器+11の上端開口部と口部材(2)とを拘束し
たのち、高周波コイル(4)に高周波電流を通電して高
周波誘導加熱により両者をヒートシールすると、容器+
11と口部材(2)の接合には何ら異常は認められない
が、容器本体の重合底部(/h)において、アルミ箔が
局部的に異常加熱され、当該部が焼は焦げて異臭とピン
ホールを生じ、その容器に飲料のような液体内容物を充
填すると、内容物の異臭と当該ピンホール部から液もれ
が生ずるという問題がしばしば発生し、実用上支障をき
たしていた。
この異常原因としては種々推測されるが、一般に容器の
底構造は、2ノ、2図のように底構造はラミネート包材
が幾重に重合しているため、折り返しシール面で、内面
プラスチックフィルム同志のシール面に大きな押圧力が
作用して、当該シール面のプラスチックフィルムが肉薄
状となり、その結果重合するアルミ箔がきわめて接近す
る部分が生じ、口部材を高周波誘導加熱により接合する
際、高周波コイルに流れる高周波電流により発生した高
周波磁束が容器本体の重合底部を通過することにより、
この重合底部を発熱させ、その部分で異常加熱とそれに
よる火影れなどが起きたと推測され、高周波電流により
発生した高周波磁束による加熱の影響と、重合底部の形
成の手段の不適切さとによるものと考えられる。
しかしながら、この種容器における底の成形技術では、
底成形条件を適切にセットしようとしても、包材がアル
ミ箔、プラスチックフィルム、あるいは更に紙材を用い
たラミネート材を主体としているだけに、バラツキなく
均等に底部を形成することは不可能に近いことであり、
従って上述のような問題を解消する術がなかった。
本発明者らは、高周波誘導加熱によりヒートシ−ルを行
う際に生ずる前記問題点全解決すべく検討を進め、従来
よりも比較的周波数の低い高周波を用い、比較的長時間
をかけ、温度を低く保持してヒートシールすれば、上述
のような問題点の発生程度を比較的低くおさえることが
できることを見出したが、このような方法では、製造速
度が遅くなるという問題があり、周波数の高い高周波を
用い、短時間に高温にしてヒートシールの短縮化を図り
製造速度を高めようとすると、前記と同様の問題点が依
然として発生し、解決することができなかった。しかし
、幾多実験の結果、高周波誘導加熱によりヒートシール
を行う際、少くとも容器本体の包材が重合した部分の外
側面に金属導体を配設し、その部分を覆うことにより、
比較的周波数の高い高周波を使用しても、上記問題が発
生せず、安定した高速短時間シールが可能であることを
見出し、本発明を完成した。
オダ〜を図について本発明方法全実施するに当り使用す
る装置を説明する。14図は高周波誘導加熱による口部
材の接着状態を示す概略図、矛3図は装置aの斜視図、
矛6図α、h、cは容器に対する金属板の配設状態を示
している。
才讐図に示す(//α)l(//A)は、突き合わせ面
に三角形状の切欠き(ノコα)l (/JA) +形成
し、両切欠き(/コα)、(lコb)によって正方形状
の容器挟着窓a3が形成されるようにした圧着板で、該
測圧着板(/’/→。
(/ / 句はベークライトのような電気絶縁性、耐熱
性を有する材料によって構成されている。また、一方の
圧着板(/ t A)は駆動手段Iによって矢印方向に
移動可能に構成され、他方の圧着板(/ / a)は固
定されている。O5は上記容器挟着窓03の上面周囲を
囲うように配設された高周波コイルで、該高周波コイル
a9の圧着板(//α)上に載置される部分は、この圧
着板(//→にとりつけられ、また圧着板(//A)上
に臨む高周波コイル(151部分はフリーに載置されて
いる。00は容器挾□着窓03に挿入支持された容器(
IDの外側に近接して臨む金属板、O8は容器Q71の
低部外面に臨む金属板である。αうはベークライトなど
の基板である。上記両金属板αe、asは、包材の重合
部の外側に配設するものであるが、上記容器αDの胴部
に臨む金槁板061は、226図αに示すように、容器
(171の胴部の包材重合部に臨むような5字形のもの
を7個使用するか、bのように容器αDの胴部側面に各
別に臨むダ枚構成とするか、Cのように容器αDを囲う
角筒状と゛するものである。
しかし実用に供しうる金属板a0の構造は、A、 cに
示されたものが有用である。尚上記a、h、’cより上
下動する。上記実施例に基いて本発明方法を説明すると
、〕・S図に示すように、一方の可動圧着板(//h)
 t−駆動手段0荀によって外側方に少し移動させ、容
器挟着窓(13を大きく開いた状態で口部材Qυを嵌合
した容器(171をこの容器挟着窓αJから挿入する。
次いで圧着板(/ / A)を閉じる方向に移動させ、
測圧着板(//α)、(lzA)にて容器αηの上部、
詳しくは、口部材Qυが嵌合されている@器(171の
外周部を確固に挟着するとともに、口部材押え(2Iに
口部材(2flを上方が押えたのち、高周波コイルQ5
1に高周波電流を数秒間通電することにより口部材QD
゛は容器aDにヒートシールせしめられる。こののち、
一方の圧着板C//I) ’を外方に移動させるととも
に、口部材押え翰ヲ上方に退去させ、口部材(2Dが完
全に接着された容器顛ヲ外部にとり出す。オフ図はその
製品を示している。
本発明における包材としては、表面に熱可塑性プラスチ
ックフィルムをラミネートしたアルミ箔を内層に使用し
、外層として紙材などを併用したラミネート包材を使用
し、少くとも、容器胴形成時の内面側は熱可塑性のプラ
スチックフィルムとなるようにすることが必要である。
最内層のプラスチックフィルムとしては、ポリエチレン
、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、ポリカーボネート。
ナイロン、塩化ビニールなどをあげることができるが、
特にポリエチレン、ポリブレピレンが適している。また
、か\るラミネート包材からなる容器の口部材としては
、ポリエチレン、ポリブレピレン、ポリエステル、ポリ
カーボネート、ナイロン、塩化ビニールなどのプラスチ
ック材を、単独あるいは併用して得られるものであるが
、実用的には、包材内面の内層フィルムと同一なプラス
チック成形品が好ましく、特にポリエチレン、ポリプロ
ピレンからなる口部材が適している。また、本発明に使
用する金属板としては、鉄、アルミニウム、銅などの比
透磁率が小さく、発熱して、も放熱効率の大きい金属が
適しており、特に、比透磁率がl十〇)の範囲で、熱伝
導度がOjdlon 拳S・dり以上、かつ、比熱が(
2/mll/ dす・y以下の金属が好ましく、特に内
部抵抗の小さい銅がもつとも好ましい。
このように本発明によれば、高周波コイルに高周波電流
を通電し、容器に対して口部材を高周波8導加熱により
接合す仝際、包材重合部を発熱させ、異常加熱とそれに
よる火影れなどを発生させることなく焦げやピンホール
のない容器の製造がなしうる特長がある。
従って、容器本体の使用材料、底部構造、成形条件、高
周波の周波数を表Iに示す如く巾広く選択、でき、周波
数の高い高周波が使用し得ることから、高速、短時間シ
ールが可能となり、生産性の向上が計れるなど優れた特
長を有する。

Claims (3)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1) 少くとも内層として、表面に熱可塑性プラスチ
    ックフィルムをラミネートしたアルミit−用いたラミ
    ネート包材の両側端部を重ね合わせ接合して得られた容
    器胴部の底部開口部の包材を、折りた\み重ね合わせ接
    合し、底Sを形成せる容器本体の開口部に、熱可塑性プ
    ラスチック材料よりなる口部材を高周波誘導加熱により
    接合する方法において、容器本体の少くともう叱ネート
    包材が重合した部分の外面側に近接して金属導体を配設
    し二上記ロ部材と容器開口部を、高周波誘導加熱により
    接合することを特徴とする複合容器の製造方法。
  2. (2)金属導体を配設する部分が、上記口部材の接合部
    を除く容器本体の側面と底部の全面であることを特徴と
    する特許請求の範囲21項記載の複合容器の製造方法。
  3. (3)金属導体の比透磁率がノーl:O7の範囲で、熱
    伝導度がo s edl/m −B’wk y 以上、
    かつ、比熱がθ/d/dす・!以下であることを特徴と
    する特許請求の範囲矛1項記載の複合容器の製造方法。
