Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. サンプル中の水素の同位体組成を判定する連続流方法であって、 i)水素を含まないキャリア・ガスを、触媒を含む加熱された触媒反応器内を 大気圧以上で通過させるステップと、 ii)前記触媒反応器内で前記サンプルが熱分解され、前記サンプルに存在す る水素が分子水素に転化されるように、前記サンプルが前記触媒反応器に進入す る前に前記サンプルをキャリア・ガス流に導入するステップと、 iii)前記触媒反応器から流出した少なくともある量のガスを質量分析計内 へ運ぶステップと、 iv)質量分析測定によって前記分子水素の同位体組成を判定するステップと の連続的な操作を含み、 前記触媒が、温度850℃ないし1000℃に維持されたクロムを含む材料で あることを特徴とする方法。 2. 前記サンプルを含むキャリア・ガスを前記触媒反応器に導入する前に クロマトグラフィ・カラムを通過させる追加ステップを含み、それによって、前 記サンプルに含まれる個別の組成物を前記クロマトグラフィ・カラムによって一 時的に分離し、前記組成物の水素同位体組成物を別々に判定できるようにするこ とを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3. 前記触媒が、 i)金属クロムと、 ii)クロム含有合金と、 iii)クロム含有化合物とを含むリストから選択されることを特徴とする請 求項1または2に記載の方法。 4. 前記触媒が、 i)金属クロムと、 ii)クロム含有合金と、 iii)クロム含有化合物とを含むリストから選択された2つ以上の項目の混 合物を含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 5. 前記触媒が、粉末または粒剤の形であることを特徴とする請求項1な いし4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 6. 前記触媒が、メッシュまたはワイヤの形であることを特徴とする請求 項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 7. 前記触媒がニクロム線であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の方法 。 8. 前記触媒が酸化クロム(Cr2O3)を含むことを特徴とする請求項5 に記載の方法。 9. 前記触媒が、温度約950℃に維持されることを特徴とする請求項1 ないし8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 10. サンプルに含まれる水素の同位体組成を連続流判定する装置であって 、 i)触媒を含む触媒反応器であり、該触媒反応器自体に導入されたサンプルの 熱分解向けに構成された触媒反応器と、 ii)前記触媒を温度850℃ないし1000℃に維持する手段と、 iii)水素を含まないキャリア・ガス流に前記サンプルを導入する手段と、 iv)前記サンプルを大気圧以上で前記触媒反応器に導入し、それによって、 前記サンプル中の水素が分子水素に転化されるように前記サンプルを熱分解する ために、前記手段から前記キャリア・ガスを運ぶ第1の導管手段と、 v)分子水素の形の水素の同位体組成を判定する質量分析計と、 vi)前記触媒反応器からの溶出液を前記質量分析計へ運ぶ第2の導管手段と を備え、前記触媒がクロムを含むことを特徴とする装置。 11. サンプルを導入する前記手段と前記触媒反応器との間に配設されたガ スクロマトグラフィ・カラムを備え、それによって、前記サンプルに含まれる個 別の組成物の同位体組成を一時的に分離し、水素同位体組成物を別々に判定でき るようにすることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の装置。 12. 前記触媒が、 i)金属クロムと、 ii)クロム含有合金と、 iii)クロム含有化合物とを含むリストから選択されることを特徴とする請 求項10または11に記載の装置。 13. 前記触媒が、 i)金属クロムと、 ii)クロム含有合金と、 iii)クロム含有化合物とを含むリストから選択された2つ以上の項目の混 合物を含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲項10ないし12のいずれか一項に記載 の装置。 14. 前記触媒が、粉末または粒剤の形であることを特徴とする請求項10 ないし13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。 15. 前記触媒が、メッシュまたはワイヤの形であることを特徴とする請求 項10ないし13のいずれか一項に記載の装置。 16. 前記触媒がニクロム線であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の装 置。 17. 前記触媒が酸化クロム(Cr2O3)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1 4に記載の装置。 18. 前記触媒を850℃ないし1000℃に維持する前記手段が、前記触 媒を温度約950℃に維持することを特徴とする請求項10ないし17のいずれ か一項に記載の装置。
