(57)【要約】 【目的】 特に吸収性、快適性及び強度の点で優れた特
性を有し、生産がし易く価格の点でも魅力的な使い捨て
型のおしめを提供する。 【構成】 液浸透性の体側内部ライナと、少なくとも実
質的に液不浸透性の外部層とを具備してフロントパネル
とリアパネルを形成し、前記内部ライナと前記外部層と
の間に挟まれた液吸収性バッドを有している使い捨て型
のおしめであり、前記内部ライナ及び前記外部層が少な
くとも濡れに強い長繊維型のセルローズ材で成ってい
る。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、液浸透性の体側内部ラ
イナと、少なくとも実質的に液不浸透性外部層とを具備
し、この内部ライナと前記外部層との間に挟まれた液吸
収性バット（心綿）でフロンロパネル（前当て）とリア
パネル（後ろ当て）を形成した使い捨て型のおしめに関
する。
【０００２】これに関連して、使い捨て型のおしめとい
う言葉は、その中に尿や便を集めておくために小さい子
供の体に備えられる使い捨て型の発明を意味するのみな
らず、失禁症の成人用の使い捨て型の発明も含まれるも
のと解釈される。
【０００３】
【従来の技術】この種の使い捨て型のおしめは国際特許
出願Ｎｏ．ＷＯ８４／０４２４２（Ｊｏｈｎｓｏｎ＆Ｊ
ｏｈｎｓｏｎ Ｐｒｏｄｕｃｔｓ，Ｉｎｃ．）から公知
である。この既知の使い捨て型のおしめは、ポリエチレ
ンの合成外部層と不織の合成内部ライナとを有し、それ
らの間には綿毛状のセルローズ材が挟まれている。
【０００４】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記既知の使い捨て型
のおしめの１つの欠点は次の通りである。合成材料を使
用するため、一方においてその生産には環境にとって有
害な材料の使用が要求されるので、また、他方において
環境を著しく損なう材料の廃棄物に処理されるので、極
めて環境に都合の悪いものである。事実、合成外部層と
合成内部ライナとで構成されている既知の使い捨て型の
おしめは、相当の期間の間には廃棄物の山と成るだろう
ということを別にして、それらは又、焼却された時に有
害な灰状残渣及びガス（ＣＯ２）を発生する。上記の問
題は、既知の使い捨て型のおしめが使われている極めて
大きなスケールから見れば確かに想像上の問題ではな
い。上記の欠点に打勝つため、いわゆる“おしめサービ
ス”が既に提案されている。この“おしめサービス”は
そのメンバーであるユーザに対して清潔なおしめを引受
けた時間に配給するものであり、こうしたユーザから使
用済みの木綿のおしめを集めてクリーニングし、それか
らきれいになった使用おしめを再び配給するようにして
いる。この“おしめサービス”は人気が出てきてはいる
が、使い捨て型のおしめの利用者の大部分は使い捨て型
のおしめを相変らず必要としている。
【０００５】本発明の目的は、環境にやさしい使い捨て
型のおしめ、特に吸収性、心地よさ及び強さの点に関し
て優れたおしめ特性を有しており、かつ製造し易く、魅
力的な価格の使い捨て型のおしめを提供することにあ
る。
【０００６】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の上記目的は、内
部ライナと、少なくとも実質的に“濡れに強い長繊維”
型のセルローズ材で成ることを特徴とする使い捨て型の
おしめによって達成される。この結果、この使い捨て型
のおしめは全体として容易に生物劣化可能であり、従っ
て絶対的に環境にやさしい。
【０００７】
【作用】上記“濡れに強い長繊維”の紙は、既知の使い
捨て型のおしめの合成“不織”の内部ライナ及びポリエ
チレンの外部層を置き換える役を果している。“濡れに
強い長繊維”の紙は、小さな子供達には絶対に安全で、
長繊維で作られているので普通の紙と比較して濡れた条
件では大きな強度を示し、また前述の不織材料より安い
ので経済的見地から非常に興味深い。“濡れに強い長繊
維”の紙という言葉は、自然の状態で１０ｃｍからのセ
ルローズ繊維長さを持つ紙を表わすものとして紙業界で
よく使われている言葉である。
【０００８】
【実施例】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめの一実施例
は、セルローズ材がマニラ麻、大麻、ケナフ、シサル麻
及び黄麻で成る群の少なくとも１つの種の植物からの繊
維を含んでいることを特徴とするものである。本発明に
よる使い捨て型のおしめの内部ライナ及び外部層に用い
るセルローズ材としては、マニラ麻種のバナナプランツ
の葉及び又は茎の繊維を使うのが好ましい。その平均長
さ（１．５ｍ〜３ｍ）、強度及び柔軟性のため、これら
の繊維はここで提案する使い捨て型のおしめ用として特
に好適である。因みに大麻、ケナフ、シサル麻及び黄麻
繊維は１ｍと５ｍの間で変る平均長さを有する。
【０００９】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめの他の実
施例は、内部ライナが下記特性の少なくとも１つを有し
ていることを特徴とする。 ・１３ｇ／ｍ２及び２３ｇ／ｍ２の間の面積重量（望ま
しくは１７ｇ／ｍ２） ・４３ｍ２／ｋｇ及び７７ｍ２／ｋｇの間の面積イール
ド（望ましくは５８ｍ２／ｋｇ） ・０．０５０ｍｍ及び０．０８０ｍｍの間の厚さ（望ま
しくは０．０６３ｍｍ） ・引張り強度：ａ）乾燥状態，長軸方向に ＞１０Ｎ／
１５ｍｍ ｂ）乾燥状態，斜め方向に ＞３Ｎ／１５ｍｍ ｃ）湿った状態，斜め方向に ＞１Ｎ／１５ｍｍ ・白さの程度：＞７５％
【００１０】以上の結果として、最適なおしめ特性を有
する使い捨て型のおしめが得られ、それは容易に生物劣
化できる。
【００１１】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめは、望ま
しくは液浸透性の内部ライナにミシン目が入れられる。
これにより尿の浸透が促進される。
【００１２】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめのもう１
つの実施例は、外部層が下記の特性の少なくとも１つを
有していることを特徴とする。 ・２０ｇ／ｍ２及び２５ｇ／ｍ２の間の面積重量（望ま
しくは２３ｇ／ｍ２） ・４０ｍ２／ｋｇ及び５０ｍ２／ｋｇの間の面積イール
ド（望ましくは４３ｍ２／ｋｇ） ・０．０６０ｍｍ及び０．０８０ｍｍの間の厚さ（望ま
しくは０．０７２ｍｍ） ・引張り強度：ａ）乾燥状態，長軸方向に ＞２０Ｎ／
１５ｍｍ ｂ）乾燥状態，斜め方向に ＞４Ｎ／１５ｍｍ ｃ）湿った状態，斜め方向に ＞１．５Ｎ／１５ｍｍ ・白さの程度：＞７５％
【００１３】外部層を形成するこの“濡れに強い長繊
維”の紙は２３ｇ／ｍ２の強度を有することが望まし
い。できれば外部層は、その不浸透性を増すために内側
に生物劣化コーティングが施される。
【００１４】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめのもう１
つの実施例は、少なくとも実質的に液不浸透性材料、好
ましくは（ニットの）ポリエステルで作られた外側パン
ツとの組み合せで使用できることを特徴とする。このよ
うな再使用可能な外側パンツは、もし希望すれば、如何
なる尿の漏れに対しても付加的な防護として役立たせる
ことができる。
【００１５】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめは、使用
者のおしりの周りにこのおしめを取付けるための手段
（例えば接着性の細長片を）用いることが望ましい。
【００１６】本発明による使い捨て型のおしめの他の実
施例はバットが綿毛状のセルローズ材を含んでいること
を特徴とする。
【００１７】次に、本発明を図面を参照して更に詳細に
述べる。図１及び図２は本発明による使い捨て型のおし
め１の外観を示す斜視図であり、図１は着用した状態を
表わし、図２は広げた状態（一部切欠き）を表わしてい
る。おしめ１には少なくとも実質的に液不浸透性の外部
層２、液浸透性の内部ライナ３及びそれらの間に挟まれ
た吸収性のバット４が備わっている。外部層２と内部ラ
イナ３はセルローズ材、好ましくはマニラ麻種のバナナ
プランツの葉及び又は茎からの繊維で作られる。これら
の繊維は、その長さ、かなりの強さ及び柔軟性によっ
て、本発明による使い捨て型のおしめ用として特に適し
ている。バット４は綿毛状のセルローズ材を含んでお
り、図の例ではバット４は２つの層の部分４ａ及び４ｂ
から成り、その１つをもう１つの上に重ね、それらの間
に吸収性の細長片５が挟まれている。外部層２と内部ラ
イナは一方で、また外部層２とバットとは他方で周知の
技術によって互いに張り付けられる。
【００１８】おしめ１は弾性を有するひも７のついた足
の開口部６を含むと共に、おしめ１を例えば小さな子供
の体の周りに取付けるための接着性の細長片８を含んで
いる。
【００１９】尿の漏れ等に対して付加的な防護を望む場
合には、おむつ１の上に望ましくはニットのポリエステ
ル製の外側パンツを着用することが好ましい。

【発明の効果】以上に述べた通り、本発明の使い捨て型
のおしめによれば、材料として合成化学製品を用いず自
然の植物繊維を用いるので、大量に発生する使用済みの
廃棄物処理の問題を、環境を破壊することなく解決する
ことができる。また、麻の葉や茎等の種類を選択するこ
とによって吸収性、快適性及び強度の点で優れた特性を
得ることができ、更に、原料が安価で容易に生産できる
ので、使い捨て型のおしめを魅力的な価格で提供でき
る。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 液浸透性の体側内部ライナと、少なくと
    も実質的に液不浸透性の外部層とを具備してフロントパ
    ネルとリアパネルを形成し、前記内部ライナと前記外部
    層との間に挟まれた液吸収性バットを有している使い捨
    て型のおしめにおいて、前記内部ライナ及び前記外部層
    が少なくとも濡れに強い長繊維型のセルローズ材で成っ
    ていることを特徴とする使い捨て型のおしめ。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記セルローズ材が、マニラ麻、大麻、
    ケナフ、シサル麻及び黄麻で成る群の少なくとも１つの
    種の植物からの繊維を含んでいる請求項１に記載の使い
    捨て型のおしめ。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記内部ライナが下記特性の少なくとも
    １つを有している請求項１又は２に記載の使い捨て型の
    おしめ。 ・１３ｇ／ｍ２及び２３ｇ／ｍ２の間の面積重量（望ま
    しくは１７ｇ／ｍ２） ・４３ｍ２／ｋｇ及び７７ｍ２／ｋｇの間の面積イール
    ド（望ましくは５８ｍ２／ｋｇ） ・０．０５０ｍｍ及び０．０８０ｍｍの間の厚さ（望ま
