Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 配管施工が簡単、かつ確実に行なえる電熱線
を内蔵した管継手の接続装置を提供する。 【構成】 管継手1の一端部に設けた受口11の内周面
に電熱線12を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設し、該受口11
内に合成樹脂管2の端部を嵌挿する。また、受口11の
内周面と合成樹脂管2の端部外周面に設けた凹凸3a,
3b同士を係合させて合成樹脂管2の抜け出しを防止す
ると共に、前記電熱線12を発熱させて受口11の内周
面と合成樹脂管2の端部外周面とを融着接合する。 【効果】 配管施工が簡単に行なえ、また管継手の受口
から合成樹脂管が脱出することなく確実かつ強固に融着
接合する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、電熱線を内蔵した管継
手に合成樹脂管を確実、かつ強固に融着接合できる接続
装置に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来からガス管等の配管分野では、図3
に部分断面図で示した如く、受口11の内周面に電熱線
12を埋設した管継手1を用いて合成樹脂管2を融着接
合することが行われている。
【0003】ところで、管継手1に合成樹脂管2を融着
接合する場合、管継手1の受口11内に合成樹脂管2の
端部を嵌挿してから電熱線12を発熱させて受口11の
内周面と合成樹脂管2の端部外周面とを同時に溶融させ
たときに、該溶融樹脂の圧力が高まって受口11内から
合成樹脂管2が押し出されて脱出するという問題が起き
る。このため、従来は管継手1の受口11内に合成樹脂
管2の端部を嵌挿してからそれぞれの合成樹脂管2をク
ランプCで把持し、受口11内から合成樹脂管2が脱出
するのを防止しながら電熱線12を発熱させて融着接合
していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、現場で
の配管施工の際に、それぞれの合成樹脂管2をクランプ
Cで把持したり、取り外したりする作業が非常に面倒で
あった。また、施工時間の短縮を図るために溶融樹脂が
十分に固化していない間に配管施工業者がクランプCを
取り外してしまうことがあるため、受口11内から合成
樹脂管2が押し出されて接続不良が発生するという問題
があった。
【0005】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、配管施工が簡単に行なえると共に、管継手と合成樹
脂管とを確実かつ強固に融着接合できる接続装置を提供
するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、管継手の一端
部に設けた受口の内周面に電熱線を所定間隔で螺旋状に
埋設し、該受口内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿して受口の
内周面と合成樹脂管の端部外周面に設けた凹凸同士を係
合させて合成樹脂管の抜け出しを防止すると共に、受口
の内周面に埋設した電熱線を発熱させて受口の内周面と
合成樹脂管の端部外周面とを融着接合したことを特徴と
するものである。

【作用】受口内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿し、該受口の
内周面と合成樹脂管の端部外周面に設けた凹凸同士を係
合させて合成樹脂管の抜け出しを防止するので、電熱線
を発熱させたときに受口内から合成樹脂管が押し出され
て脱出することはなく、受口の内周面と合成樹脂管の端
部外周面とが融着接合する。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明
する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す接続装置の要部断
面図、図2は本発明の他の実施例を示す接続装置の要部
断面図である。
【0009】図中1はポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、
ポリブテン等の合成樹脂からなる管継手、2は管継手1
と同種の樹脂からなる合成樹脂管である。管継手1の一
端部には合成樹脂管2の外径とほぼ等しい内径を有する
受口11が設けられており、該受口11の内周面に電熱
線12が所定間隔で螺旋状に埋設されている。一方、受
口11の外周面には電源接続端子13を内蔵したコネク
ター14が設けられており、該電源接続端子13に前記
電熱線12の両端部が接続している。15は受口11の
奥部に設けたストッパー段部である。
【0010】図1に示した接続装置は、管継手1の受口
11の奥側の内周面に断面三角形の環状凸起3aを設け
ると共に、該受口11内に嵌挿される合成樹脂管2の端
部外周面に前記環状凸起3aと係合する環状凹溝3bを
設けたものである。
【0011】この実施例の場合、管継手1の受口11内
に合成樹脂管2の端部を嵌挿してその先端部をストッパ
ー段部15に当接させると、受口11の内周面に設けた
環状凸起3aが合成樹脂管2の端部外周面に設けた環状
凹溝3b内に嵌入して合成樹脂管2の抜け出しが防止さ
れる。このとき、合成樹脂管2の先端部にテーパ状の面
取り21を施すと共に、環状凹溝3bより先端側の凸部
に管軸方向の溝22を設けておくか、または受口11の
内周面に設けた環状凸起3aに管軸方向の溝を設けてお
くと、合成樹脂管2の端部を受口11の奥部まで容易に
嵌挿させることができる。
【0012】そこで、コネクター14の電源接続端子1
3に電力線を接続し、電熱線12に所定時間電流を流
す。すると、電熱線12が発熱して受口11の内周面と
合成樹脂管2の端部外周面とが同時に溶融し、両者が強
固に融着接合する。尚、この実施例の場合、受口11の
開口側の内周面に環状凸起3aを設けると共に、これと
対応する合成樹脂管2の端部外周面に環状凹溝3bを設
けて合成樹脂管2の抜け出しを防止してもよい。
【0013】図2に示した接続装置は、管継手1の受口
11の先端部内周面に凸起3aを設けると共に、合成樹
脂管2の端部外周面に前記凸起3aが螺合する螺旋状の
凹溝3bを設けたものである。
【0014】この実施例の場合、管継手1の受口11内
に合成樹脂管2の端部を嵌挿し、管継手1または合成樹
脂管2を回転させながら凸起3aを螺旋状の凹溝3bに
螺合させてその先端部がストッパー段部15に当接する
まで捩じ込む。そこで、前記実施例と同様に電熱線12
に通電して発熱させると、受口11の内周面と合成樹脂
管2の端部外周面とが同時に溶融して強固に融着接合す
る。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明の接続装置は
管継手の受口内に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿し、受口の内
周面と合成樹脂管の端部外周面に設けた凹凸同士を係合
させて合成樹脂管の抜け出しを防止するので、電熱線を
発熱させて受口の内周面と合成樹脂管の端部外周面とを
溶融させたときに、受口内から合成樹脂管が押し出され
て脱出することがなく、管継手と合成樹脂管とが確実か
つ強固に融着接合する。また、本発明の接続装置はクラ
ンプによる固定、および取り外し操作が必要でないの
で、従来装置と比較して施工時間を大幅に短縮すること
ができる。

  1. 【請求項1】 管継手(1)の一端部に設けた受口(1
    1)の内周面に電熱線(12)を所定間隔で螺旋状に埋
    設し、該受口(11)内に合成樹脂管(2)の端部を嵌
    挿して受口(11)の内周面と合成樹脂管(2)の端部
    外周面に設けた凹凸(3a,3b)同士を係合させて合
    成樹脂管(2)の抜け出しを防止すると共に、受口(1
    1)の内周面に埋設した電熱線(12)を発熱させて受
    口(11)の内周面と合成樹脂管(2)の端部外周面と
    を融着接合したことを特徴とする電熱線を内蔵した管継
    手の接続装置。
