Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 管端を閉塞するためのキャップとしての機能
と、管を接続するための継手としての機能を兼ね備え、
更にはエアー抜きが容易に行なえる電気融着継手を提供
する。 【構成】 合成樹脂製継手本体1の一端部に受口11を
設けて該受口11の内周面に電熱線2を埋設する。ま
た、継手本体1の他端部に管接続部12を設け、該管接
続部12に栓体3を着脱自在に装着する。 【効果】 電熱線を発熱させるだけで、継手本体の一端
に合成樹脂管を簡単かつ確実に接続できる。また、継手
本体の他端部に栓体を装着して管端部を閉塞したり、取
り外してエアー抜きが行え、配管ラインの延長・増設も
容易である。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、管端を閉塞するための
キャップとしての機能と、管を接続するための継手とし
ての機能を兼ね備え、更にはエアー抜きが容易に行なえ
る電気融着継手に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来からガス管、給湯管等の配管分野で
は、ポリエチレン、ポリブテン等の合成樹脂管が使用さ
れており、この合成樹脂管の接続には電熱線の発熱によ
って管同志を融着接続する電気融着継手が使用されてい
る。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】この電気融着継手は、
合成樹脂からなる継手本体の両端部に受口を設けると共
に、それぞれの受口内周面に電熱線を埋設したものであ
って、この電気融着継手を用いて管端を閉塞する場合に
は、この電気融着継手のほかに短管と、キャップとを準
備し、合成樹脂管の端部に電気融着継手を融着接合して
から該電気融着継手の他端部に短管を介してキャップを
接続していた。ところが、この管端閉塞の場合には、継
手以外の部品が必要となるためコストアップとなるだけ
でなく、閉塞作業に手間がかかるということがあった。
【0004】なお、合成樹脂管の端部を閉塞するだけで
あれば、管端部にキャップを接続するだけでよいが、こ
のキャップによる管端閉塞では配管ラインを延長した
り、増設する必要が生じたとき管の接続が行えない。ま
た、配管施工後、管内に滞留したエアーを排出してガス
等を輸送するとき、エアーの排出が旨く行えないという
別の問題が発生する。
【0005】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、管端を閉塞するためのキャップとしての機能と、管
を接続するための継手としての機能を兼ね備え、更には
管内に滞留したエアーの排出がスムースに行なえる電気
融着継手を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の電気融着継手
は、合成樹脂製継手本体の一端部に受口を設けて該受口
の内周面に電熱線を埋設し、また継手本体の他端部に管
接続部を設けて該管接続部に栓体を着脱自在に装着した
ことを特徴とする。

【作用】現場での配管施工の際、継手本体の一端部に設
けた受口に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線を発
熱させて融着接合する。そして、継手本体の他端部に設
けた管接続部に栓体を装着するだけで、配管ラインの管
端部を閉塞できる。また、配管施工後に栓体を取り外し
て管内に滞留したエアーを排出することができ、更には
栓体を取り外して管接続部に管を接続すれば、配管ライ
ンを延長したり、増設できる。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を図面にて詳細に説明
する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す電気融着継手の断
面図、図2は本発明の他の実施例を示す電気融着継手の
断面図、図3及び図4は更に本発明の他の実施例を示す
断面図であって、図中の符号1はリエチレン、ポリブテ
ン等の合成樹脂からなる継手本体、2はニクロム線等の
電熱線、3は栓体である。
【0009】まず、図1に示した実施例について説明す
る。この実施例の電気融着継手は継手本体1の一端部に
受口11を設け、その他端部を縮径して管接続部12と
したソケット継手である。前記受口11の内周面には電
熱線2が螺旋状に所定間隔で埋設されており、該電熱線
2の両端部が継手本体1の外周に突設した端子ピン21
と接続している。また、管接続部12の内周面にも前記
同様に電熱線2が埋設されており、該電熱線2の両端部
が継手本体1の外周に突設した端子ピン21と接続して
いる。そして、前記管接続部12に栓体3が着脱自在に
装着されている。
【0010】栓体3は本体部31の一端部にフランジ3
2を設けた構成からなっており、本体部31の先端外周
に装着したパッキン33aが管接続部12の内周面に圧
接し、またフランジ32面に装着したパッキン33bが
管接続部12の端面に圧接して継手本体1の端部を気密
に閉塞できるようになっている。
【0011】この電気融着継手を用いて配管ラインの端
部を閉塞する場合、継手本体1の受口11に合成樹脂管
4の端部を嵌挿してから電熱線2を発熱させて融着接合
する。そして、継手本体1の他端部に設けた管接続部1
2に栓体3を装着して管端部を閉塞する。一方、配管施
工後にガス等を輸送するとき、栓体3を取り外して管内
に滞留したエアーを排出してから再度栓体3を装着す
る。また、配管ラインを延長したり、増設する際には栓
体3を取り外して管接続部12に合成樹脂管を嵌挿し、
電熱線2を発熱させて融着接合する。
【0012】図2に示した電気融着継手は、前記実施例
と同様に受口11の内周面に電熱線2を埋設し、他端部
の管接続部12の内周面に雌ねじを設けて該雌ねじに栓
体3の本体部31に設けた雄ねじを着脱自在に螺合でき
るようにしたものである。そして、管接続部12に栓体
3を螺合したとき、本体部31の先端外周に装着したパ
ッキン33aが管接続部12の内周面に圧接し、またフ
ランジ32面に装着したパッキン33bが管接続部12
の端面に圧接して継手本体1の端部を気密に閉塞するよ
うになっている。この実施例の電気融着継手は管接続部
12に雌ねじが設けられているので、配管ラインを延長
したり、増設する際に管を螺合接続できるという利点が
ある。
【0013】図3に示した電気融着継手は継手本体1の
中央に枝管部13を突設してチーズ継手としたものであ
って、継手本体1の一端部に設けた受口11の内周面、
他端部に設けた管接続部12の内周面、及び枝管部13
の内周面に電熱線2を埋設したものであって、それぞれ
の電熱線2の両端部は端子ピン21と接続している。そ
して、継手本体1の管接続部12に栓体3が着脱自在に
装着されており、枝管部13に合成樹脂管4を融着接合
できるようになっている。この実施例の場合には、管接
続部12から栓体3を取り外して合成樹脂管を融接合す
ることもでき、また枝管部13に図示しない栓体を着脱
自在に装着して管内に滞留したエアーを排出することも
できる。
【0014】図4に示した電気融着継手は、図3に示し
たチーズ継手の枝管部13の内周面に雌ねじを設けて該
雌ねじに管を螺合接合したり、雄ねじを有する栓体を着
脱自在に螺合できるようにしたものである。この実施例
の場合も、前記同様に配管ラインの管端部を閉塞した
り、管内に滞留したエアーの排出が容易に行なえ、配管
施工後に配管ラインの延長・増設も簡単に行なえる。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明の電気融着継
手は、継手本体の一端部に設けた受口の内周面に電熱線
を埋設したので、該受口に合成樹脂管の端部を嵌挿して
から電熱線を発熱させるだけで確実、かつ強固に融着接
合できる。また、継手本体の他端部に設けた管接続部に
栓体を装着して配管ラインの端部を閉塞したり、配管施
工後に栓体を取り外して管内に滞留したエアーを排出す
ることもできる。更には、栓体を取り外して管接続部に
管を接続するだけで、配管ラインを簡単に延長したり、
増設できるという実用上極めて優れた効果を奏するもの
である。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 合成樹脂製継手本体(1)の一端部に受
    口(11)を設けて該受口(11)の内周面に電熱線
    (2)を埋設し、また継手本体(1)の他端部に管接続
    部(12)を設けて該管接続部(12)に栓体(3)を
    着脱自在に装着したことを特徴とする栓体を内蔵した電
    気融着継手。
  2. 【請求項2】 管接続部(12)の内周面に電熱線
    (2)を埋設し、該管接続部(12)に栓体(3)を着
    脱自在に装着したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の栓体
    を内蔵した電気融着継手。
  3. 【請求項3】 管接続部(12)の内周面に雌ねじを設
    け、該雌ねじに雄ねじを有する栓体(3)を着脱自在に
    螺合したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の栓体を内蔵し
    た電気融着継手。
