Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】狭くて作業性の悪い場所であっても、容易に通
電作業を行うことのできる電気融着継手を提供すること
を目的としている。 【構成】樹脂管本体2の内周面に、通電によって発熱す
るコイル3が埋設されてなる電気融着継手1であって、
樹脂管本体2から、コイル3の端部に導通するコード4
が導出され、該コード4の先端にコイル3に通電するた
めの通電用ターミナル5が設けられたものである。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、樹脂管本体の内周面
に、通電によって発熱するコイルが埋設された電気融着
継手に関するものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術】一般に、樹脂管本体の内周面に、通電に
よって発熱するコイルが埋設されるとともに、このコイ
ルの端部に通電用ターミナルを設けた電気融着継手が知
られている。
【0003】そして、従来の電気融着継手は、通電用タ
ーミナルを樹脂管本体の外周面に突設するようになされ
ていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、上記従来の電
気融着継手は、通電用ターミナルが、樹脂管本体の外周
面の決められた位置から突出しているので、この電気融
着継手を、狭くて作業性の悪い場所の配管に接続するよ
うな場合、通電用ターミナルを所望の位置に取り出すこ
とができず、通電作業が困難になるといった不都合を生
じる。
【0005】特に、一端側が螺子部となされ、他端側が
融着部となされた電気融着継手の場合、螺子部を配管に
螺合した状態で、融着部の通電用ターミナルの位置は必
然的に決まってしまうので、通電作業が困難になる。
【0006】本発明は、係る実情に鑑みてなされたもの
で、狭くて作業性の悪い場所てあっても、容易に通電作
業を行うことのできる電気融着継手を提供することを目
的としている。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記課題を解決するため
の本発明の電気融着継手は、樹脂管本体の内周面に、通
電によって発熱するコイルが埋設されてなる電気融着継
手であって、樹脂管本体から、コイルの端部に導通する
コードが導出され、該コードの先端にコイルに通電する
ための通電用ターミナルが設けられたものである。

【作用】本発明によると、樹脂管本体から、コイルの端
部に導通するコードを導出し、該コードの先端にコイル
に通電するための通電用ターミナルを設けているので、
電気融着継手の挿着状態に関係なく、通電用ターミナル
を所望の位置に取り出すことができる。

【実施例】以下、本発明の一実施例を図面を参照して説
明する。
【0010】図1は電気融着継手1の全体構成の概略を
示している。
【0011】すなわち、この電気融着継手1は、樹脂管
本体2の内周面に、通電によって発熱するコイル3が埋
設されており、樹脂管本体2から、コイル3の端部に導
通するコード4が導出され、該コード4の先端にコイル
3に通電するための通電用ターミナル5が設けられたも
のである。
【0012】樹脂管本体2は、円筒状に形成されてな
り、その両端部から、該樹脂管本体2の内周部全体に渡
って、樹脂管6の端部を嵌合できるようになされた嵌合
部21が形成されている。また、この樹脂管本体2の外
周面の両端部近傍には、コード4が導出されている。
【0013】コイル3は、嵌合部21の内周壁面側に埋
設され、その端部がコード4の導線41に接続されてい
る。
【0014】そして、コード4は、導線41とコイル3
とを接続した状態で、樹脂管本体2から導出され、その
先端部が収束されている。
【0015】通電用ターミナル5は、収束されたコード
4の先端部に設けられている。そして、この通電用ター
ミナル5から導線41を介してコイル3に通電できるよ
うになされている。そのため、通電用ターミナル5に
は、収束されたコード4の本数に相当する数のターミナ
ルピン51が、ピンカバー50内に内装されている。
【0016】なお、本実施例では、コード4の先端部を
収束して通電用ターミナル5を設けているが、図2に示
すように、各コード4の先端部毎に通電用ターミナル5
を設けてもよい。また、同図に示すように、樹脂管本体
2の一端部側の外周面に螺子部22が形成されて各種部
材7に螺合可能となされた電気融着継手1であってもよ
い。ただし、この螺子部22は、樹脂管本体2の内周面
側に設けられていてもよい。
【0017】この螺子部22が形成された電気融着継手
1の場合、各種部材7に螺合した状態で、コード4の導
出位置が必然的に決まってしまうが、該コード4の先端
部に通電用ターミナル5を設けているので、融着作業を
行い易い所望の位置に、通電用ターミナル5を取り回し
て融着作業を行うことができ、特に有効なものとなる。
【0018】また、電気融着継手1の形状としては、特
に限定されるものではなく、例えば、図3に示すよう
に、エルボ継手1であってもよい。また、同図に示すよ
うに、コード4の先端部をすべて収束させて1個の通電
用ターミナル5に接続したものであってもよいし、各コ
ード4の先端部毎に通電用ターミナル5(図示省略)を
設けてもよい。

【発明の効果】以上述べたように、本発明によると、電
気融着継手の挿着状態に関係なく、通電用ターミナルを
所望の位置に取り出すことができるので、狭くて作業性
の悪い場所であっても、容易に通電作業を行うことがで
きる。

  1. 【請求項1】 樹脂管本体の内周面に、通電によって発
    熱するコイルが埋設されてなる電気融着継手であって、 樹脂管本体から、コイルの端部に導通するコードが導出
    され、該コードの先端にコイルに通電するための通電用
    ターミナルが設けられたことを特徴とする電気融着継
    手。
