超音波溶着するときに用いる超音波溶着機用ホーン。 【効果】 内容物の残量を容器外部から容易に知ること
ができる。また、注ぎ口接合部からの内容物の漏洩を防
止することができる。さらに、容器への注ぎ口の溶着を
容易かつ確実に行なうことができる。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、ペール缶などとして用
いるプラスチック製容器、該容器の嵌込み式注ぎ口及び
該嵌込み式注ぎ口の溶着に用いる超音波溶着機用ホーン
に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来、ペール缶などとして用いられてい
るプラスチック製容器は、通常、容器内に充填されてい
る油などの内容物の劣化を防ぐため、容器内へ紫外線が
透過しないよう不透明となっている。すなわち、容器を
成形するに際し、プラスチック材の中に白色顔料等を混
入させ、容器全体を不透明にして紫外線を内部まで透過
させないようになっていた。
【0003】また、ペール缶などの容器における内容物
の注ぎ口として、不使用時は蓋の内部に嵌め込んでお
き、外側に注ぎ口が突出しないようにした嵌込み式の注
ぎ口が特公昭59−38143号において開示されてい
る。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】紫外線を遮蔽するため
に白色顔料等を混入させ不透明とした従来の容器は、蓋
をしたままの状態では外部から内容物の残量を知ること
ができなかった。このため、容器内に内容物がどのくら
い残っているかを正確に知るためには、いちいち蓋を外
して、容器内をのぞき込まなければならず、管理に手数
を要していた。
【0005】特公昭59−38143号における嵌込み
式の注ぎ口は、注ぎ口のシール溝外壁を、金属製のクリ
ンプリングで容器(蓋)の壁開口部にクリンプした構成
となっている。しかしながら、金属製のクリンプリング
を用いて行なう注ぎ口の壁開口部へのクリンプは、構造
上、クリンプした部分の密着性を十分に保つことが難し
く、クリンプした部分からしばしば液漏れを生じるとい
う問題があった。
【0006】本発明は上記の事情にかんがみてなされた
ものであり、第一の目的は、容器内の内容物の残量を外
部から容易に確認でき、しかも紫外線による内容物劣化
を最小限に抑えることができる容器を提供することにあ
る。また、第二の目的は、注ぎ口と容器(蓋)開口部の
接合を確実に行なって、接合部からの液漏れをなくした
嵌込み式注ぎ口を提供することにある。さらに、第三の
目的は、嵌込み式注ぎ口を容器開口部に接合するに際
し、両者の接合を好適に行なえるようにした超音波溶着
機用ホーンを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記目的を達成するた
め、請求項1に記載のプラスチック製容器は、少なくと
も胴部を透明に成形するとともに、この透明胴部の底面
を除く部分の60〜95%に印刷を施した構成としてあ
る。また、請求項2に記載の嵌込み式注ぎ口は、プラス
チック材からなる嵌込み式の注ぎ口を、プラスチック製
容器の任意箇所に設けた開口部に、超音波によって溶着
接合した構成としてある。さらに、請求項3に記載の嵌
込み式注ぎ口の超音波溶着に用いる超音波溶着機用ホー
ンは、先端面に、注ぎ口の溶着部を押圧する縦断面が曲
面状のリング溝を形成した構成にしてある。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例について詳細に説明す
る。図1は、本発明プラスチック製容器の一実施例の正
面図を示している。この容器は胴部1と蓋部2からなっ
ており、通常は胴部1に蓋部2を螺合あるいは嵌合して
用いる。本実施例の場合、胴部1のみ透明に成形し、蓋
部2は白色顔料などを混入させて不透明に成形してあ
る。これは、容器内の内容物残量を確認するには、蓋部
2まで透明にする必要性が低いからである。胴部1を成
形するプラスチックの材質は、容器の使用目的に応じて
適宜選択して用いればよく、例えば容器をペール缶とし
て使用する場合には、ポリエチレン,ポリプロピレン又
はこれらの重合体等のプラスチックを用いる。また、容
器(胴部1及び蓋部2)の成形方法も、容器の形状,サ
イズなどに応じ、射出成形,中空成形等各種の成形方法
を採用する。
【0009】本実施例のプラスチック製容器は、透明に
した胴部1に印刷が施してある。この印刷は、胴部1に
直接行なってもよく、また薄い印刷フィルム等を貼り付
けたものであってもよい。印刷部分1aの胴部全体に占
める割合いは、内容物の種類及び印刷用インキの色(紫
外線遮蔽率)によって異なるが、例えば内容物が油(機
械油,潤滑油,切削油等)であって、紫外線遮蔽率の高
い青緑系統のインキを用いた場合には、胴部1の底を除
いた60〜95%の部分(面積)に印刷を施すことが好
ましく、特に80〜90%とするとより好ましい。印刷
を施した面積を60%未満にすると、内容物の劣化が早
く、逆に95%を超えると内容物の確認が困難になる。
なお、印刷内容として目盛を付けると、内容物の残量
を、外部から正確に知ることができる。また、本明細書
においてインキとは、ペイント等を含んだ意味で用いて
いる。
【0010】本発明の実施例と、従来例及び参考例の実
験結果を以下に示す。 条件 実施例:容器の材料としてポリエチレンを用いた。胴部
の底を除いた85%に青色のインキで印刷を施した。 従来例:容器の材料としてポリエチレンを用いた。成形
時に材料中に白色顔料を混入し容器全体を不透明とし
た。 参考例:容器の材料としてポリエチレンを用いた。胴部
に印刷をしなかった。 上記条件下における、各容器の紫外線(300〜380
nm)の遮蔽率は 実施例 80% 従来例 80% 参考例 10% であった。これにより、本発明実施例の容器によれば、
内容物を十分確認できる85%の印刷で、従来と同じ紫
外線遮蔽率を有することが判明した。
【0011】図2(a),(b)は、本発明の嵌込み式
注ぎ口の一実施例の断面図を示す。この注ぎ口は上述し
たプラスチック製容器の蓋2に設けられており、図2
(a)は注ぎ口が蓋2の開口部に嵌め込まれている状
態、図2(b)は注ぎ口が蓋2の開口部より引き出され
ている状態を示す。本実施例の嵌込み式注ぎ口は、全体
がポリエチレンなどのプラスチックによって成形されて
おり、先端の注入口11と、この注入口11と連続する
首部13、及びこの首部13と連続するフランジ部14
並びに溶着部15を一体的に有している。注入口11の
外周壁にはねじ11aが形成してあり、ここにキャップ
12が着脱自在に螺合する。首部13は注入口11とほ
ぼ同径の部分と、注入口11より大径で該注入口11の
嵌入可能な部分とからなっており、かつ肉厚を薄くする
ことによって長手方向に可撓性を有する構造としてあ
る。
【0012】フランジ部14と溶着部15は、両者が一
体となって注ぎ口を蓋2の開口部2aに接合するための
ものである。フランジ部14は開口部2aの径より大き
い外径を有し、溶着部15も溶着後は開口部2aの径よ
り大きい外径を有し、両者14,15で開口部2aの外
周部分を両面から挾着しつつ溶接してある。すなわち、
嵌込み式注ぎ口は、蓋2の開口部2aに溶接接合されて
おり、十分な接合強度を有するとともに、接合部の十分
なシール性を確保した状態となっている。ここで、開口
部2aと溶着部15の関係は、溶着前の溶着部15の長
さが2〜60mm、好ましくは5〜40mmであり、開
口部2aの内径と溶着部15の隙間sを0.1〜10m
m,好ましくは1〜6mmとしてある。溶着前の溶着部
15の長さが2mm未満であると溶着が不完全となりや
すく、60mmを超えると後述する溶着機用ホーン20
の溝21内で溶けるプラスチックの量が多すぎて溶着効
率が著しく劣る。また、開口部2aの内径と溶着部15
の隙間sが0.1mm以下であると開口部2aへの注ぎ
口の嵌入が難しくなり10mmを超えると、溶着が不完
全となりやすくなる。なお、容器の使用目的に応じて、
嵌込み式の注ぎ口を胴部1に接合することも可能であ
る。
【0013】上述のキャップ12は、嵌込まれた注ぎ口
を引き出しやすくするためのグリップ12aを折畳み自
在に有し、かつその外径は注ぎ口を嵌め込んだときにフ
ランジ部14と重なるようにするため、ほぼフランジ部
の外径と同じとしてある。
【0014】十分な接合強度とシール性を有した状態
で、注ぎ口を蓋2の開口部2aに接合するには、図3に
示すように、蓋2の開口部2aに注ぎ口の溶着部15を
嵌合し、溶着機用ホーン20でこの溶着部15を外側に
押し倒しながら超音波溶着することが好ましい。溶着機
用ホーン20の先端面には、縦断面が曲面状のリング溝
21が形成してあり、この溝21は、幅Wを1〜10m
m,深さHを0.5〜5mmとすることが好ましい。ま
た、溝21の内径を、溶着部の内径と同じかやや小さく
すると、溶着部15が溝21の曲面にガイドされて外側
に確実に押し倒される。この溶着機用ホーン21は、超
音波振動子(図示せず)に接続して使用される。なお、
溝21の縦断面における曲面は、円弧状だけでなく多角
面としたものであってもよい。
【0015】この溶着機用ホーン20の材質は、超音波
によって溶融したり変質したりしないものであれば、特
に限定されずアルミニウム合金などが用いられる。ま
た、溶着時、溶着機用ホーン20が溶着部15に加える
圧力は1〜5Kg/cm2 とすることが好ましく、これ
以上強いと溶着部15が折れたりつぶれたりし、また弱
いと蓋2と溶着部15の接合が不十分となり、いずれに
しても接合強度とシール性の点で問題がある。
【0016】一方、超音波溶着機21は、溶着部15の
外周方に位置する筒形となっており、発生する超音波は
16〜25KHz、通常20KHzとしてあり、溶着時
間は3〜4秒としてある。上述した溶着機用ホーン20
を所定の圧力で押し付けながら、20KHz程度の超音
波を3〜4秒加えると、突出していた溶着部15は外側
に押し曲げられた状態で開口部周縁の蓋2に溶着する。

【発明の効果】以上のように、本発明のプラスチック製
容器によれば、内容物の残量を容器外部から容易に知る
ことができる。また、本発明の嵌込み式注ぎ口によれ
ば、注ぎ口接合部からの内容物の漏洩を防止することが
できる。さらに、本発明の嵌込み式注ぎ口の溶着に用い
る溶着機用ホーンによれば、容器への注ぎ口の溶着を容
易かつ確実に行なうことができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 少なくとも胴部を透明に成形するととも
    に、この透明胴部の底面を除く部分の60〜95%に印
    刷を施したことを特徴とするプラスチック製容器。
  2. 【請求項2】 プラスチック材からなる嵌込み式の注ぎ
    口を、プラスチック製容器の任意箇所に設けた開口部
    に、超音波によって溶着接合したことを特徴とする嵌込
    み式注ぎ口。
  3. 【請求項3】 嵌込み式注ぎ口を、容器の開口部に超音
    波溶着する際に用いる超音波溶着機用ホーンの先端面
    に、注ぎ口の溶着部を押圧する縦断面が曲面状のリング
    溝を形成したことを特徴とする嵌込み式注ぎ口の溶着に
    用いる超音波溶着機用ホーン。
