Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a hair tonic having excellent hair tonic effect, highly effective for the preventive therapy of alopecia, also highly effective for dandruff-and-pruritus prevention, containing an extract of plant(s) such as Calendula officianalis as active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair tonic containing, as active ingredient, a plant extract obtained by extracting (A) at least one kind selected from the flower of Calendula officianalis, the root of Scutellaria baicalensis, the flower of Matricaria chamomilla and the root of Aretium lappa with (B) pref. a lower monohydric alcohol such as ethanol, polyhydric alcohol such as 1.3-butylene glycol or a hydrous solvent thereof. The extraction can be made through an extablished means such as batch process or reflux process and pref. carried out at room temperature under a mild conditions. The proportion of said active ingredient to be formulated is pref. 0.1-10wt.%. It is preferable that the present hair tonic be formulated with a duke extract such as lansic acid extracted from the pericarp of e.g. Lansium domesticum jack bar duke.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a hair nourishing agent that has excellent hair nourishing effects and is effective in preventing dandruff and itching.

[Prior Art and Problems] Traditionally, peripheral vasodilators, cell activators, sebum secretion inhibitors, anti-inflammatory agents, amino acids, vitamins, etc. have been used as hair restorers and hair restorers for the prevention and treatment of male pattern baldness. [Means for Solving the Problems] In view of the above circumstances, the present inventors have conducted intensive studies on medicinal agents that have excellent effects on preventive treatment of alopecia and have no side effects. . As a result, the present inventors discovered that extracts of Calendula, Scutellariae, Chamomile, and Burdock have excellent hair-nourishing effects and are also effective in preventing dandruff and itching, leading to the completion of the present invention.

That is, the present invention provides a hair nourishment containing as an active ingredient an extract of at least ti plants selected from Calendula, Scutellariae, Chamomile, and Burdock.
