本発明は、養毛剤に関する。テストステロン５α−リダクターゼ阻害剤の養毛効果を相乗的に向上させ、しかも副作用のない養毛剤に関する。

【従来の技術】
男性型禿頭や脱毛症は、男性ホルモンの過剰によるといわれている。特に毛根、皮脂腺等の器官におけるこの男性ホルモンの本体は、これら標的器官においてテストステロンがテストステロン５α−リダクターゼ（ＴＳＲ）によって還元されて生成する、５α−ジヒドロテストステロン（ＤＨＴ）であることが知られている。すなわち、精巣や副腎で生合成され分泌されたテストステロン（男性ホルモン）は、血流によって皮脂腺に到達し、皮脂腺細胞中のＴＳＲによってＤＨＴに変換される。このＤＨＴは細胞内の受容体と結合し、核に作用して皮脂腺細胞の増殖を促す一方、毛母細胞にも作用してその細胞分裂を抑制し、毛の成長を妨げるものとされる。

そこで、従来男性型禿頭や脱毛症の治療には、エストラジオール等の女性ホルモン作用を有する物質や、酢酸シプロテロン等の抗男性ホルモン作用を有する物質、強い酸化力を有する物質，二酸化塩素（ＣｌＯ_２等）が用いられてきた。しかし、ホルモン剤や酸化剤は、副作用や安全性の面で問題があり、化粧料への配合が不可能なものや、医師の管理下でのみ使用が可能なものばかりであった。

そのため、副作用や安全性の面で問題がなく、化粧料などに配合の可能な薬草抽出物のスクリーニングを行った結果、セージ（ＳａｌｖｉａｏｆｆｉｃｉｎａｌｉｓＬ．）、ホップ（ＨｕｍｕｌｕｓｌｕｐｕｌｕｓＬ．）、ローズマリー（ＲｏｓｍａｒｉｎｕｓｏｆｆｉｃｉｎａｌｉｓＬ．）、オトギリソウ（ＨｙｐｅｒｉｃｕｍｅｒｅｃｔｕｍＴｈｕｎｂ．）、ハッカ（ＭｅｎｔｈａａｒｖｅｎｓｉｓＬ．ｖａｒ．ｐｉｐｅｒａｓｃｅｎｓＭａｌｉｎｖ．）、セイヨウハッカ（ＭｅｎｔｈａｐｉｐｅｒｉｔａＬ．）、カミツレ（ＭａｔｒｉｃａｒｉａｃｈａｍｏｍｉｌｌａＬ．）、アルニカ（ＡｒｎｉｃａｍｏｎｔａｎａＬ．）、タイム（ＴｈｙｍｕｓｖｕｌｇａｒｉｓＬ．）のエタノール抽出物が、ＴＳＲ阻害活性を有することが明らかとなった（特公平６−４７５５４）。

しかしながら脱毛症には、頭皮の血流も深く関与することが知られており、特に加齢に伴う薄毛・脱毛の場合は、ＴＳＲ阻害剤のみでは充分な養毛効果が得られなかった。

また、パセリ（Ｐｅｔｒｏｓｅｌｉｕｍｓａｔｉｃｕｍ）は、セリ科（Ｕｍｂｅｌｌｉｆｅｒａｅ）の２年生の草本植物であり、原産は地中海であるが全世界で主に食用を目的として栽培されている。このパセリ抽出物の皮膚外用剤への応用としては、美白効果（特開昭５４−４９３４４）、口臭予防効果（特公昭６１−４０６４６）等が開示されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従って、本発明においては、男性型禿頭のみではなく、加齢に伴う薄毛・脱毛にも有効で、しかも副作用や安全性の面で問題のない養毛剤を得ることを目的とした。

【発明を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、植物抽出物の中からスクリーニングを行った結果、ＴＳＲ阻害剤とパセリ（Ｐｅｔｒｏｓｅｌｉｕｍｓａｔｉｃｕｍ）の抽出物を併用することにより、相乗的に良好な養毛効果が得られることを見出し、本発明を完成するに至った。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明において、上記ＴＳＲ阻害剤及びパセリ抽出物の養毛剤への配合量は、それぞれ０．００１〜５重量％が適当である。配合量が０．００１重量％以下であると、十分な養毛効果が得られないが、あまり多量に配合する必要もない。
