。Detailed Description of the Invention [0001] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention provides a cosmetic product characterized by containing a crude drug extract having anti-inflammatory action, superoxide scavenging action, and/or antibacterial action. Regarding. [Prior Art] Cassia alata, Piper litroflatum, Euphorbia pyrulifera, Coleus scutellaoides, Cryptocarya aromatica, Curcuma haineana, and Trigonella whenumgraecum are used in folk medicine in Indonesia for eye treatment, etc. It is a plant medicine that is used. However, their physiological activities, such as anti-inflammatory action, superoxide scavenging action, and antibacterial action, have not been clarified. On the other hand, since inflammation caused by ultraviolet rays and the like is thought to be a contributing factor to skin roughness, there is a desire for cosmetics that can alleviate this inflammation and improve skin roughness. Furthermore, superoxide is said to be involved in the production of lipid peroxide and the acceleration of aging, and an effect to eliminate it on the skin is also desired. Furthermore, it is desired to have an appropriate antibacterial effect for the purpose of preserving cosmetics, preventing skin infections, and deodorants. [0003] Problems to be Solved by the Invention [0003] Therefore, the use of plant medicines such as Cassia alata, Piper litroflatum, Euphorbia pyrulifera, Coleus scutellaoides, Cryptocarya aromatica, Curcuma haineana, and Trigonella whenumgraecum. When we investigated the application of solvent extracts to cosmetics, we found that they exhibited excellent anti-inflammatory effects (foot edema test), superoxide scavenging effects, antibacterial effects, and skin conditioning effects, and were also able to be formulated into formulations. Completed the invention. [Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention utilizes Cassia alata (Cassia alata L.), which is a herbal medicine.

This cosmetic is characterized by containing one or more solvent extracts selected from the following. These herbal medicines can be commercially available in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia. [0005] Examples of methods for extracting solvent extracts of crude drugs include cutting dried crude drugs into small pieces and adding a solvent for extraction. Examples of the solvent include one or more mixed solvents selected from water-soluble solvents such as water, ethanol, n-propanol, t-butanol, propylene glycol, and 1,3-butylene glycol. Extraction may be performed at room temperature or with heating. The solvent extract can be concentrated or concentrated to dryness, if necessary, to facilitate subsequent operations. Further, if necessary, polysaccharides such as starch contained in the solvent extract can be precipitated and removed by refrigeration or the like. [0006] The solvent extract of the crude drug can be blended as a dry product in an amount of 0.001 to 10% by weight, preferably 0.01 to 5.0% by weight, based on the total amount of the cosmetic composition of the present invention. 0.
If the concentration is less than 0.001% by weight, a sufficient effect cannot be obtained;
At a concentration of 0% by weight or more, no enhancement of the effect is observed and it is uneconomical. The cosmetics of the present invention include oils and fats used in cosmetics, etc., as long as they do not impair the effects of solvent extracts of crude drugs.
Raw materials such as waxes, hydrocarbons, fatty acids, alcohols, esters, and surfactants can be blended. The cosmetics of the present invention include basic cosmetics such as creams, lotions, milky lotions, and packs, makeup cosmetics such as foundations and lipsticks, hair cosmetics such as hair creams, hair lotions, shampoos, and conditioners, bath additives, A dosage form such as soap can be adopted. Experimental Example 2 Superoxide scavenging test The superoxide scavenging activity was measured using the nitrous acid method of Oyanagi et al. i.e. 0.1mM xanthine and 6.3
×10-2U/ml xanthine oxidase (XOD)
Superoxide was generated, nitrous acid produced by the reaction of the superoxide and hydroxylamine was colored with a coloring agent, and superoxide was quantified by absorbance at 550 nm. The superoxide elimination rate (%) was determined as the rate of decrease in absorbance when the test substance or SOD was added to the reaction system. Table 2 shows the results. Note that if the test substance had an inhibitory effect on XOD, it would be measured as an apparent superoxide scavenging activity, so the inhibitory activity against XOD was also measured at the same time. In other words, the uric acid produced by the reaction between xanthine and XOD was quantified by absorbance at 290 nm, and the amount of uric acid was compared with and without the addition of the test substance, and it was clear that the test substance had no inhibitory effect on XOD. became. The results are clear from Table 3. Among the hot water extracts of each crude drug in Example 1, Euphorbia pyrulifera leaves, Coleus scutellaoides leaves, and Cryptokarya aromatica bark had good superoxide scavenging properties. It has an effect. Also Euphorbia pyrrhifera leaves, Coleus scutellaoides leaves, Cryptokarya

Experimental Example 3 Antibacterial activity test The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was measured by the agar plate dilution method. That is, Mueller-Hinto in which each crude drug extract was dissolved at a concentration of 12.5 to 400 μg/ml.
Spread a loopful of each bacterial solution onto n(MH) agar medium, and
After culturing at 7°C for 20 hours, the presence or absence of growth was determined. The bacterial solution was prepared using MH broth for facultative anaerobic bacteria, which was grown for 20 hours at 37°C, and then diluted to 106 cells/ml using phosphate buffer. The results are shown in Table 3. As a result, among the hot water extracts of each crude drug in Example 1, antibacterial activity was detected in the leaves of Euphorbia pyrulifera, leaves of Coleus scutellaoides, and bark of Cryptocarya aromatica, and in particular, antibacterial activity was detected in the bark of Euphorbia pyrulifera, Coleus scutellaoides, and Cryptocarya aromatica. It showed high activity against one type of Staphylococcus aureus. In addition, the extracts of Example 2 and Example 3 of Euphorbia pyrrhifera leaves, Coleus scutellaoides leaves, and Cryptokarya aromatica bark were similarly tested.
It showed antibacterial activity comparable to that of Example 1. [Table 3] Table 3 Antibacterial activity test results (minimum inhibitory concentration %)────────────────────
