Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a bed base material for a fermenting bed for promoting the growth of a deodorant and microorganism by containing at least one kind selected from molasses, rice bran, chaff, skin and beanstalks and pods and sugar-manufacture by-product lime. CONSTITUTION:A deodorant composite contains at least one kind selected from molasses, rice bran, chaff, skin, and beanstalks and pods and a sugar- manufacturing by-product lime. The sugar-manufacturing by-product lime is waste matter generated in a sugar refining process, which contains mineral contains in raw sugar, calcium carbonate adsorbing an organic matter, activated carbon and diatomite. As the sugar-manufacturing by-product lime contains calcium carbonate and diatomite, it is used as a soil improving agent, and further as it contains sugar, nitrogen, phosphoric acid and potash, it is used as fertilizer. A base material for a fermenting bed made by adding sugar- manufacturing by-product lime to rice bran, chaff, skin, sawdust, chip material, part material rice plant straw, wheat straw, fallen leaves fallen flowers and beanstalks and pods is widely used as a deodorant, and furthermore, when viable cells are mixed as a deodorant therein, the preservation of the fungus can be facilitated, and the fungus will not die out during storage.

However, if the fermentation bed does not operate completely, it will create an unhygienic environment, which will have a negative impact on the breeding of animals. Therefore,
In fermentation bed rearing, management of the fermentation bed is important, and for this reason, sufficient attention is paid to the selection and maintenance of the fermentation bed substrate and fermentation conditions. The bed base material for the fermentation bed has a C/N ratio of 25 to 30 and a moisture content of 50 to 60 so that microorganisms are active and feces and urine are fed.
%, is adjusted to around -7.0, and microorganisms are added to improve air permeation. In general, materials such as rice bran, rice husks, mosquito husks, saw-saws, chippings, branwood, rice straw, wheat straw, fallen leaves, fallen flowers, and beans are used as fermentation bed substrates, and microorganisms are added to these materials. However, the fermentation bed substrate is periodically cut back to increase contact with air. However, in order to maintain the bed temperature at a temperature suitable for breeding, it is necessary to make the base material for the fermentation bed a certain thickness, and since the floor is constantly stepped on by animals, it is necessary to Penetration into the floor substrate is reduced. In addition, since feces and urine are not evenly distributed on the floor surface, the progress of fermentation may vary depending on the floor surface. As fermentation progresses, the energy source is consumed by microorganisms, and fermentation often stops or the bed temperature rises too much, which increases the generation of bad odors. Therefore, in fermentation bed rearing, energy supply to microorganisms, odor removal, and air supply become problems. Various deodorizing agents have been developed to remove bad odors, but since fermentation bed rearing uses microorganisms, deodorizing agents that inhibit their growth and stop fermentation cannot be used. Furthermore, due to the nature of the fermentation bed, the deodorizing agent used must be inexpensive and must not cause any phytotoxicity when added to the soil. Therefore, the deodorants that can be used in fermentation beds are limited. Furthermore, there is no suitable method for replenishing air, and although the floor is turned over periodically, it is labor-intensive and does not provide sufficient replenishment.

As a result of various studies on deodorizing agents for fermentation beds, the present invention was completed after learning that lime, a by-product of sugar refining, could be used. Sugar byproduct lime is a waste generated during the sugar refining process.
Minerals and organic substances (various sugars, proteins) contained in raw sugar
It is used as a soil conditioner because it contains ash and diatomaceous earth, and as a fertilizer because it contains sugar, nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potassium. However, regardless of the presence of activated carbon, lime by-product of sugar refining is a substance that has already adsorbed impurities during the sugar refining process, so its deodorizing effect has not been studied in detail.

However, as a result of detailed studies, it has been found that although sugar byproduct lime already adsorbs a considerable amount of organic matter and minerals, it has an ammonia absorption capacity equal to or greater than that of combat activated carbon alone, and that it can be used as a deodorizer. It has been shown that the deodorizing effect is equal to or greater than that of conventionally used drugs. It was also confirmed that the deodorizing effect was not affected by supporting molasses. The present invention was made based on the discovery of the remarkable deodorizing effect of sugar production by-product lime and molasses-supported sugar production by-product lime. In addition, sugar production by-product lime and sugar production by-product lime that supports molasses do not have a negative effect on microorganisms and fermentation, and since they contain sugar, nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potassium, they have a positive effect on their growth, and they Hull, wrinkled, sawed, chipped wood, flat wood, rice straw,
When added to floor materials for fermentation beds, such as wheat straw, fallen leaves, fallen flowers, or bean shells, it promotes the growth of microorganisms and fermentation, and since it is porous, it increases air retention in the bed. These effects, along with the deodorizing effect, are all beneficial for the fermentation bed base material. Fermentation bed substrates made from rice bran, rice hulls, mosquito husks, sawings, chips, park materials, rice straw, wheat straw, fallen leaves, fallen flowers, beans, etc., with sugar byproduct lime added have the above-mentioned effects. In addition, when sugar production byproduct lime is used as a general deodorant, it can be mixed with any deodorant or drug depending on its properties, so its use as a deodorant is wide. In addition, when live bacteria are mixed as a deodorant, the bacteria can be easily preserved and will not die during storage. Floor base materials for fermentation beds, such as bran, rice bran, mosquito shavings, sawing, tegu wood, park wood, rice straw, wheat straw, fallen leaves, etc.
There is no particular limit to the amount of sugar production by-product lime added to peanuts, beans, etc. The more the better, but 0.25%
It is preferable to add the above amount. Therefore, the amount added should be arbitrarily selected depending on the breeding conditions such as the thickness of the fermentation bed base material, the area of the bed, the type and number of animals, and economic conditions, to further enhance the air permeability of the base material. If possible, use it as pellets. After uniformly dispersing sugar byproduct lime and microorganisms into fermentation bed base materials such as bran, rice hulls, wrinkles, sawing, chig wood, park wood, rice straw, wheat straw, fallen leaves, fallen flowers, and beans. If possible, pelletize it and use it as a fermentation bed floor base material in fermentation bed animal houses, it will suppress the generation of odors and prevent the growth of microorganisms, feces, and urine without having to cut and turn the floor base material as much as in the past. Animal rearing progresses effectively, and the bed temperature is maintained uniformly, so the growth of the animals is also improved compared to conventional fermentation bed rearing.

The reason why sugar production by-product lime has such a strong deodorizing effect is that sugar production by-product lime is composed of activated carbon, diatomaceous earth, and calcium carbonate, and it is due to the synergistic effect of the mixture of these substances, or the raw material adsorbed to sugar production by-product lime. It is thought that the minerals and impure organic substances contained in the sugar enhanced the dissipating power of the inorganic substances in the sugar byproduct lime, but the exact details are unknown.
