Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) 本発明は、シート材料を相互に結合させるための方法お
よび装置に関ずろらのである。
(従来の技術) 従来から、シート材料を相互に積層させるには、当初は
別々のロール上にある複数のシートを相互に結合し、こ
れらを同種の溶接または溶融アッセンブリィ中に通し、
次いで得られた溶融アッセンブリィを単一のロールにか
けることによって行なわわている。ソートは、その長さ
に沿って徐々に相互に融着する。
(発明の詳説) 本発明の第1態様によれば、ソート材料を相互に結合さ
せるための方法を提供するもので、該方法は、複数のシ
ートを一緒にして、単一の複合アッセンブリィを形成し
、次いで得られたアッセンブリィを、少なくとも1つの
該シートが隣接するシートに付着するような温度に該シ
ートが達ずろまで、加熱することからなる。
好ましくは、シート材料の1つが電導性である場合、ア
ッセンブリィの加熱工程は、該電導性シート中に電流を
通してアッセンブリィを加熱することからなる。
別法として、アッセンブリィの加熱工程は、該アッセン
ブリィを、マイクロ波または赤外線才一ブンのようなオ
ーブン中に入れることからなってもよい。
本発明の第2態様によれば、本発明は電気伝導性シート
を非電気伝導性シートに結合仕る力法を提供する。該方
法は、シートを一緒にし、次いて電流を該電気伝導性シ
ートに誘導して、それが結合温度に達するまで、該ソー
トにおいて熱を発生さけることからなる。
満足のゆく結合を達成するには、複合アッセンブリィの
いずれの地点においても所定の最大温度を超過仕ずに、
該シートを充分に高い温度に上昇させねばならない。本
発明の1つの目的は、アッセンブリィ内に、過剰な温度
を感受しうる装置を9入することなく、結合玉程の間に
シート温度を測定および/またはコントロールすること
である。
更に、本発明の態様に従えば、シート財料を相丘に結合
させる方法を提供するもので、該方法は電気伝導性シー
トおよび非電気伝導性シートを一緒にして、結合される
その長さ全体にわたり緊密な接触状態の複合アッセンブ
リィを形成し、該複合アッセンブリィを該シートが相互
に結合しうる温度に加熱し、電気伝導性シートの電気抵
抗を測定して、その平均温度を推定し、推定した温度を
用いて、結合形成用の熱をコントロールすることからな
る。熱生成用の電流は、好ましくは直流であり、シート
に設定電圧をかけ、それによって発生した電Aを温度の
指標として測定することができる。
電圧は、有利には加熱開始時のゼロから所定の値まで滑
らかに上昇させる。
シートの温変は、室温に対するデーターとして測定する
ことができる。
さらに、本発明の別の態様によれば、ソートを相互に結
合させろための装置を提供する。この装置によれば、電
気伝導性シートおよび非電気伝導性ソートを一緒にして
、結合されるその長さ全体にわたり緊密な接触状態の複
合アッセンブリィを形成ずろもので、該装置は、電流を
電気伝導性ノートに流すための手段(該電気伝導性シー
トを、該シートが相互に結合しうる温度に加熱七るのに
充分な電流の大きさと持続期間で、流す)、電気伝導性
シートの平均温度を推定すべく該シートの電気抵抗を測
定するための電気抵抗測定用の手段および熱生成用の電
流のコントローラー(これは、電気抵抗の関数により設
定またはコントロールされろ)からなる。
さらに、本発明の別の態様によれば、シートを相互に結
合させるための別の装置を提供する。該装置は、第1シ
ート供給用の第1供給装置、第2ン一ト供給用の第2供
給装置、粉末結合剤からなる流動床を生成させるための
、流動床ンエネレーター(これは、結合剤粒子が第2シ
ートの結合面に付着ずろように、該面に対して位置する
)からなる。
第2シートがフレキソブルである場合、好ましくは該シ
ートを、定位ロールの下部面を通過させて、発生した流
動床内に浸漬させる。
a刊には、静電荷ジエネレーターを第2シートの結合面
に付近に定位させて、該粒子の電荷と反対の極性の静電
荷をその上に発生させる。
(具体例の説明) 次に、添付の図面を参照しながら、本発明の種々の具体
例を説明するが、これらに限定されるものではない。
第1図は本発明の結合装置の垂直端郎を示す概略図であ
る。第2図は第1図を部分的に拡大した概略図である。
第3図は第1図の結合装置の変形例を示す斜視図である
。第4図は第3図の結合装置用のコントロール手段を示
す概略図である。
第1図では、1組の供給リール10.11は、各々シー
ト材料のストックを保持している。リール+Q上のスト
ックは、プラスチックシ一ト、例えばポリエチレンン布
12であって、リール11上のストックは、コボリマー
・プラスチックシ一ト13またはアルミニウムのような
金属とすることができる。
シート12. 13は、巻き取り口−ル14により実質
的に同じ速度で、リール10.11から引出す。シ一ト
12は、リール10からプラズマ処理ロールl5、接地
ロールl6および1組のプレスロールl7の間のニップ
を通ってロール」4へ送られるが、かかるプレスローノ
レ17において、シ一ト12は、リーノレ1lがら弓出
されろシート13と一緒になる。
シート12の外面は、プラズマ処理ロール154:を通
過するにつれて、高電圧で高周波数のプラズマ棒18に
よって発生した高反応性のプラズマに付される。このプ
ラズマは、ボリマーソートの表面分子を変性させて、シ
ート12とシ一ト13の結合形成における酸素豊富面を
形成する。
シ一ト12は、プラズマ棒l8から離れたのち、残留表
面電荷を運ぶ。
接地ロールl6は、トラフl9内に位置するが、ここで
は、微粒子状の熱可塑性コボリマー・結合剤からなる流
動床20が、乾燥圧縮空気流により支持されていろ。か
かる空気流は、トラフl9底部に設ナられたマニホール
ド2lの八口22を通って入り、プラスチック・グリッ
ド23を通って」二昇ずる。加えて、または別法として
、該流動床20は、伝導性グリッド24に対し適用され
る静電荷によって支持計ることかできる。グリッド24
により、静電荷を流動床の粒子に適用し、これにより、
該粒子は、相互に反発して、フィルム12表面上の電荷
と反対の極性の電荷を有するように配列され、かかる荷
電表面に吸引、付着して、a−ルI7の1mのニツプ内
に運ばれる。
流動床20中の各粒子の?’l!荷により、これらは、
相互に反発し、そのためフィルム12の表面上に均一に
広がる。
ある種の態様では、プレスロール17は、削除すること
ができ、シ一ト12およびシート13は、各々ロールl
6およびリールl1から、直接、巻き取り口−ルl4に
送られる。ロールl4において、隣接するシートか相互
に結合するのを防ぐには、分離シ一ト25を、ノート1
2および13と同じ速度でリール26から引出すことが
できる。
第3図および第4図は、シート・アッセンブリィをロー
ルl4上に巻き取るための、僅かに5間なるレイアウト
を示すもので、以下に、アソセンブリイの加熱によりシ
ートを相互に結合するだめの種々の方法を説明する。
第3図において、所定の長さの金属箔27(代表的には
、アルミニウム)は、対応する幅と長さを有するプラス
チックシ一ト28に対し、実質的に表面全体にわたり溶
接しなければならない。金属箔27が、その反対側にお
いてプラスチックシ一ト28と溶接するのを防止するに
は、ペーパー29の分離シートまたは他の適切な材料を
設けねばならない。

33は、各々3つのカーボンブラシ34を保持し、これ
により、電沌をロールセンタ−31に供給することがで
きる。各カーホンブラシ34には、第4図に示すような
電力[i36から別のケーブル35により供給される。
使用に際し、まず、数巻きの金属箔27をセンター31
上に巻いて、金属箔27とセンター31の間の良好な電
気的接触を確実にする。次いで、プラスチックシ一ト2
8を金属箔27上に、緊密に接触させながら巻き取る。
シ一ト28を巻き取ると同時に、ベーバーシート29を
も供給し、これにより、金属箔27の下部面の、ロール
30上に隣接するプラスチックシート28の上部面への
付着を防止することができろ。
金属箔27とプラスチックシ一ト28の隣接面の間にお
いて緊密な接触を促進するには、後者に対し、電荷を与
える。このために、シ一ト28を、接地口ール37と薄
刃の電極棒38の間を通過させ、ここに、直流を、代表
的には70/IOOK Vで供給する。ロール30が充
分な材料を保持する場合、プラスチックシ一ト28およ
びペーパー29の供給を停止し、数巻き以上の金属箔2
7を巻き、これにより、ロール30の外面を完全に金属
箔27で覆う。ロール30の巻取りの間およびその後、
電気絶縁黄銅製のロール39によりロール30上の材料
、したがって金属箔27を圧縮する。6つの等間隔のカ
ーボンブラシ40は、口−ル39と接触し、各々はセバ
レイト・ケーブル4lを介し、電力供給源36から供給
される。
電力供給源36には、要すれば単相または三川とするこ
とかできるAC主電力を供する。電力供給椋36は、例
えばDC電圧をゼロから所定の値まで直線的に上界、コ
ントロールしうるサイリスク整流器により、ACをDC
に変換させることかできる。DC71t圧は、ケーブル
35、ブラシ34、ロールセンター31,金属箔27、
黄銅ロール39、ブラシ40およびケーブル4lを通過
する電流を生成ずろ。口−ル30の内容物が、代表的に
は長さ1000メートルである場合、最大400ボルト
のDCで約250アンペアが得られる。この電流により
、金属箔27を、プラスチックシ一ト28がそこに溶融
するような温度に加熱する。
規則的な間隔、代表的には@抄当り、電力供給源36の
コンピュータ手段は、DC電圧および電流を検出し、こ
のデーターから、該電流の抵抗値(これは、大半が金属
箔27に起因するものである)を算出する。金属箔27
の電気抵抗値は、その温度に対し、実質的に直線的に変
化するので、金属箔27H料の温度一電気抵抗値が解っ
ていれば、その平均温度は、瞬間の抵抗値から推定する
ことかできる。算出した抵抗値により、金属箔27に必
要な温度がプラスチックフィルムシ一ト28への満足の
ゆく結合を達成する温度に達したことが、示されたなら
、DC電圧をゼロに減少させて、ロール30の過熱を防
止することができる。
感温プローベ42は、電力供給源36内に、室温を示す
シグナルを送り、これを、金属箔27の温度評価のデー
ターとして用いる。
金属箔27を流れるDC電流により該箔27を加熱しそ
の電圧と電流をモニターして抵抗値したかって温度を推
定する代わりに、交流磁場によって金属箔27中に誘発
される電流により、該箔27を加熱することができる。
事実、ロール30の加熱は、非−電気的手段、例えばオ
ーブンなどによって達成することができるが、いずれの
場合も、前記したように、金属箔27の平均温度は、電
流を、ロール30を介しケーブル35からケーブル41
へ通過さけ、抵抗値の変化をモニターすることにより、
測定することができる。
さらに、シート材料27、28および29は、ロール3
0中以外の方法で、配置させることができる。例えば、
これらを、1組の平行な棒の周囲に緊密に巻き付けてル
ープをつくるか、またはZ−プリーツ形態に包むことが
できる。
好ましくは、熱生成用の電流および/または金属箔27
の抵抗値、したがって温度の推定用に用いる電流はAC
とでき、また異なる周波数のものとすることができる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1、シート材料を相互に結合させるにあたり、複数のシ
    ート(12、13、27、28)を一緒にして、単一の
    複合アッセンブリィ(14、30)を形成し、次いで得
    られたアッセンブリィを、少なくとも1つの該シートが
    隣接するシートに付着するような温度に該シートが達す
    るまで、加熱することを特徴とする方法。 2、1つのシート(27)が電導性であって、この電導
    性シート(27)に電流を流し、かつ熱生成用の該電流
    の大きさおよび保持期間が、該電導性シート(27)を
    結合温度に加熱するのに充分なものである請求項1記載
    の方法。 3、1つのシート(27)が電導性であって、この電導
    性シート(27)の電気抵抗を測定することにより、そ
    の平均温度を推定する請求項1または2記載の方法。 4、熱生成用の上記電流とは別の電流を、電導性シート
    (27)中に通過させ、かかる別の電流の電圧値および
    電流値を用いることにより、その温度を推定して熱生成
    用の上記電流をコントロールする請求項3記載の方法。 5、粉末形の結合剤(20)からなる流動床を形成し次
    いでこの流動化結合剤を1つのシート(12)の一方の
    面に付着させることにより、結合剤(20)を、該シー
    ト(12)の該面に、該シートのアッセンブリィへの形
    成前に適用し、次いで該アッセンブリィを、該結合剤に
    よりかかるシートが接着するまで加熱する請求項1記載
    の方法。 6、2つのシート材料を相互に結合させるための結合装
    置であって、 第1シート(12)供給用の第1供給装置(10)、第
    2シート(13)供給用の第2供給装置(11)、これ
    らのシート(12、13)が該第1および第2供給装置
    (10、11)から送られるアキュムレーター手段(1
    4)(該手段は、これらのシート(12、13)を、そ
    れらの全表面域にわたり緊密な接触状態の1つのアッセ
    ンブリィとして保持する)、 および これらのシート(12、13)が相互に結合するような
    温度に該アッセンブリィを加熱するための、熱生成用の
    手段からなることを特徴とする装置。
