Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野コ 本発明は、店員がほととんど、あるいは、まったく携わ
ることなく、顧客がセルフサービスモードで動作し得る
ことができる、多種購入品の項目分けと代金計算を行な
うための装置に関する。
〔先行技術の記載コ 現在行なわれている方法としては、顧客が購入した商品
は、代金計算カウンタに運ばれ、そこで店員が、手動で
一般の機械式キャッシュレジスタに購入品の価格を入力
するようにするか、あるいは購入品を電子スキャナに押
し当ててコンビエータ化された装置により項目分けなら
びに集計をさせるようになっている。この方法は、まさ
しく時間のかかるもので、とくに買物時間のピーク時に
長い顧客の待ち行列ができ、この作業処理の為に多数の
雇用者が必要となり、運営費が掛るものとなる。
［発明が解決しようとしている問題点コ本発明は、店員
がなさなければならなかったサービスを顧客に行なわせ
るようにしたセルフサービス代金計算用のシステムに関
するものである。
このシステムは、運営費の節約が可能になるとともに、
顧客に任せることができる作業をしなくて済むようにな
り、また代金計算過程に顧客を積極的に関与させること
ができる点で有利である。
従来技術の装置では、例えば米国特許第２９１９８５１
号ならびに第３６８１５７０号で開示されているような
ものは、具体的な製品の照合をするための手段がないた
めに、高額商品を詐欺行為により取替えてしまうような
ことを防ぐことができなかった。本発明は、システムに
一定の製品コード識別の使用を導入することにより、上
記の問題を解決しようとするものでる。さらに従来装置
では、重量測定の正確さが問題となるものである。
なぜなら重量測定が何時から始り、何時までに終ったか
を判断する平置てがなかったからである。
本発明は、購入品の重量を個々にかつ総合的に恒常的に
監視するシステムを提供するものであり、１ｆｆｉが正
しくない場合には、その時点で警報を鳴らし、原因究明
を指示するようにするものである。
本発明の一つの目的は、顧客による代金計算用のシステ
ムを提供するものであるが、はとんど詐欺行為が防止さ
れ、購入品の重量、価格ならびに名称の認識をなさしめ
るシステムを提供せんとするものである。
［問題を解決する手段］ 本発明の装置は、製品に付けられた一定の製品フードか
ら得られるデータを、ホストコンピュータと通信関係に
あるチエツクアウトステーションコンピュータに転送す
る走査あるいは読取手段と、特殊製品コードあるいは走
査不可能な一定製品コードを入力するスクリーンとキイ
ボードの組合せ手段と、量り売り製品を計量する秤量手
段と、購入品用の搬送容器手段と、搬送容器手段の下側
に設けられ、この容器が載せられるオプシロンの秤量手
段と、走査後に製品が入れられる受取容器手段と、この
受取容器手段の下側に設けられ、この受取容器手段が載
せられる秤量手段とで構成されるものである。
使用に際して、顧客は、購入品を次々とスキャナ上を通
過せしめ、この製品に関する情報としての重量、価格、
製品名などをコンピュータに確認させる。受取容器に入
れられた購入品の累計重量は、その下側にある秤量器を
介して計算され、その合計が、コンピュータの製品毎登
録重量累計合計と比較される。もし重量が、所定許容範
囲内で等しくならない場合は、装置が警報をならす。
代替実施例において、搬送容器が載せられる秤量器は、
初期重量合計を計算する。この初期重量合計は、コンピ
ュータの全購入品の累計計算合計と等しくならなければ
ならない。また受取容器の下側の秤量器により求められ
る合計重量に等しくなるはずである。この体系は、購入
品に対する詐欺的行為に対して大なる安全防止対策を提
供するものである。いずれの実施例においても、購入品
を合計させた後に顧客が、その受取容器をキャッシャに
持込み、ここで最終重量が測定される。この手順により
、全購入品が合計された後に容器に何も追加できないよ
うにすることが保証される。
製品名称を包含する一定製品コードならびにその重量を
利用することにより、走査後の低価格の購入品を高価格
の物と詐欺行為により入替えられるようなことが防止さ
れる。
本発明のさらに別の目的ならびに特徴は、図面とともに
説明する以下の詳細な説明により明らかになるであろう
。
口実施例コ 第１図は、代金計算を踏む際に顧客が取るべきステップ
を図示するものである。
第２図は、総称して参照番号１０で示されるチエツクア
ウトステーションを図示するものであり、搬送容器また
はカート１１が片側に、受取容器あるいはカート１２が
反対側に配置される。搬送カート１１は、秤ｆｆｋ器１
３（オブシ日ン）上に配置され、受取カート１２は、同
様に秤量器１４畳に配置される。
使用に際して顧客は、搬送カート１１を、受取カート１
２の反対側の走査区域の一端に配置する。
顧客は、購入品１５を搬送カート１１からスキャナ１６
上を通過させ、スキャナ１６は、その価格、製品名など
の情報を電子的に読取り、この情報をホストコンピュー
タ（図示せず）に中継する。次いで購入品は、秤量器１
４上に配置された受取容器１２内に配置される。各製品
毎のｆｆ１ｆｆｉに関して予めプログラムされているホ
ストコンピュータは、その情報をチエツクアウトステー
シロンコンピュータ（図示せず）に転送し、秤量器で計
算されたｔｆｆｉとその購入品の重量とを比較する。も
し双方の重量が、所定の許容範囲にあるのであれば、シ
ステムは、リセットされ次の製品１５の走査の準備には
いる。許容範囲を越えるようなｆｆ１ｆｆｉが生じると
、システムは、警報を鳴らし、原因究明がなされるまで
は、次の購入品の走査ができなくなる。
この様な方法により、各購入品の重量が、走査済の購入
品の合計ｆｆｉ量にプラスされる。計算機で計算された
合計重量は、受取容器用秤量器１４で計算された重量と
一致がなされていなければならない。　量り売りの購入
品は、量り売り秤量器１７上に載せられ、コンピュータ
は、この秤量器１７上に物が置かれたことを感知し、ス
クリーン１８を通して顧客に対し、正規の量り売りコー
ドをキイボード１９から入力するように指示する。ホス
トコンピュータは、単位ｆｆ１ｆ１当りの価格を計算し
、チエツクアウトステーションコンピュータに転送する
ので、チエツクアウトステーションコンピュータは、こ
の値をレジスタテープに加える。上述のごと＜、量り売
り秤量器１８により記録された重量と量り売り品がすで
に入れられた受取容器１２を計る受取容器用秤量器１４
の重量との間にに何等かの問題が生じると、警報がなり
、原因究明がなされる。
全購入品が走査され、受取コンテナ１２に入れられると
、顧客は、キイボード１９上で合計の請求を入れ、受取
証が提出される。受取証には、価格、重量および購入品
名、食品券での支払の可否等が記入されているとともに
、全購入品の′ｍｆ！１合計が計算され記入されている
。コンピュータは、さらに処理番号を割当て、これらレ
ジスタテープに書込む。顧客は、購入品の入れられた受
取容器を支払ステージ１ンに持込み、ここでふたたび重
量が測定される。これにより合計後に別の品目が追加さ
れる事を防止できる。キャッシャは、重量を比較し、処
理番号を確認するとともに、顧客からの支払を受ける。
搬送容器１１が載せられる秤量手段１３をさらに設けた
点は、前述の手順と同様であり、合計初期ｆｆ１ｆｆｉ
がコンピュータに登録されるようになっており、最初と
最後の重量の合計が等しくならなければならないように
している点だけが異なっている。
双方の実施例とも、秤量手段１３，１４．１７、スキャ
ナ１６、スクリーン１８ならびにキイボード１９は、す
べてコンピュータと通信関係の状態にあることは言うま
でもない。
本発明の装置を好適実施例に関して詳細に説明してきた
が、実質的に同様な、等価なものも考えられ、この等優
品も本発明の範囲のものとされる。

Claims (3)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）自動セルフサービス代金計算システムにおいて、 各購入品に関するデータをコンピュータに転送するため
    の読込手段と、 購入品を保有する受取手段と、 前記受取手段が載せられた重量測定手段と、前記読み込
    み手段ならびに前記重量測定手段から転送されたデータ
    を入力し、比較しかつ記憶するためのコンピュータシス
    テムと、 前記コンピュータシステムからの情報を入力し、かつ可
    視化する通信手段と、 前記コンピュータに情報を手動で入力するための入力手
    段と、 の組合せからなる自動セルフサービス代金計算システム
    。
  2. （２）特許請求の範囲の第１項に記載のシステムにおい
    て、購入品を前記読込手段に渡す前に該購入品の重量を
    測定するための初期重量測定手段をさらに有するシステ
    ム。
  3. （３）量り売り用購入品の重量を測定する測定手段をさ
    らに有し、該重量測定手段は、前記コンピュータシステ
    ムと電子通信関係にあるようになっているシステム。
