Claims (4)
- 相手接続体との接続方向に延びる複数の端子を配列保持する板状のブレードがハウジングで保持されて形成された接続ユニットが、ブレードの厚み方向を連結方向として複数連結された電気コネクタにおいて、
ハウジングは、ブレードの厚み方向で対向する2つの側壁と、コネクタ幅方向であるブレードの板幅方向でブレードの範囲外に位置する2つの端壁とで形成された周壁を有し、周壁内にブレードの挿入のためのブレード受入部が形成されており、
ブレードは、ハウジングのブレード受入部に挿入保持されており、
複数の接続ユニットは、ブレードの厚み方向で両端に位置する端部接続ユニットと、両端の端部接続ユニット間に位置する中間接続ユニットとを有し、
中間接続ユニットは、相手接続体の一部と係合する係合溝が、ブレードの厚み方向で貫通し相手接続体に向け開口してハウジングの端壁と側壁との間に形成され、
端部接続ユニットは、ブレードの厚み方向で少なくとも外側に位置する外方側壁と端壁との間に上記中間接続ユニットの係合溝の深さ以上で上記相手接続体に向け開口された溝が形成されていないことを特徴とする電気コネクタ。 - 端部接続ユニットは、少なくとも外方側壁が中間接続ユニットの側壁よりも厚いこととする請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 端部接続ユニットは、外方側壁がブレードの厚み方向で内側に位置する内方側壁よりも厚く、かつ、上記連結方向での上記外方側壁の側に貫通孔もしくは凹部が形成されていることとする請求項1または請求項2に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 端部接続ユニットは、端壁の外面に切欠部が形成され、切欠部は、上記接続方向での少なくとも一端側で、該接続方向とブレードの厚み方向で開放されていることとする請求項1ないし請求項3のうちの一つに記載の電気コネクタ。
