Description
図1は、ここで開示される車両走行システム10の概略図である。車両走行システム10は、第1電池11と、第2電池12と、走行用モータ・ジェネレータ13と、受電ユニット14と、制御装置15とを備えている。車両走行システム10は、システム外の外部電源30に接続され、充電されうる。かかる車両走行システム10が適用される車両は、電動車両だけでなく、電動スクータや電動バイクのような小型の乗り物が適用されうる。
第1電池11は、第2電池12で許容される電流値よりも高い5C以上の電流値での充電および放電が許容されるように構成されている。第2電池12は、第1電池11よりも高容量の電池である。換言すると、第1電池11は、高い電流値での充電と放電が可能であり、いわゆる高出力型の電池で構成されている。他方で、第2電池12は、いわゆる高容量型の電池で構成されている。第1電池11は、適宜に「高出力電池」と称される。第2電池12は、適宜に「高容量電池」と称される。
走行用モータ・ジェネレータ13は、走行用モータと発電機の機能を備えた装置である。走行用モータ・ジェネレータ13は、電力を受けて車両の走行に用いられる運動エネルギを生成するとともに、車両の制動時に発生する運動エネルギを電気エネルギに変換することができるように構成されている。走行用モータ・ジェネレータ13は、車両を減速させたり、停止させたりするとき、運動エネルギを電気エネルギに変換する装置である。
受電ユニット14は、外部電源30から電力を受けるユニットである。外部電源30は、家庭用電源や街中の充電スポットに設置された電源でありうる。受電ユニット14は、外部電源30に有線または無線(非接触)で電気的に接続されるように構成された装置である。この実施形態では、受電ユニット14には、外部電源30との接続を検知するセンサs4が設けられている。センサs4は、受電ユニット14と外部電源30との有線での接続や、無線での電気的な接続が検知されるように構成されているとよい。センサs4の検知信号は、制御装置15に送られる。受電ユニット14と第1電池11とは、リレーr4を介して電気的に接続されている。受電ユニット14と第2電池12とは、リレーr5を介して電気的に接続されている。センサs4の具体的な構成は、ここでは具体的に開示しないが、機械的な検知手段や電気的な検知手段が適宜に適用されうる。かかる検知手段は、当業者において適宜に採用されうる。
リレーr1~r5は、制御装置15によって制御される半導体リレーとして実現されうる。この実施形態では、リレーr1~r5は、それぞれコントロールユニットc1~c5に組み込まれている。リレーr1~r5は、それぞれ制御装置15によってON・OFFが切り替えられる。また、コントロールユニットc1~c5は、インバータやDC-DCコンバータなどを適宜に備えている。例えば、リレーr1は、第1電池11と第2電池12とを接続する。この際、コントロールユニットc1は、リレーr1のON・OFFとともに、コントロールユニットc1に組み込まれたDC-DCコンバータによって適宜に電圧を制御する。そして、第1電池11と第2電池12の相互間の充電を制御する。
制御装置15は、受電ユニット14が外部電源30に接続された際に、第1電池11の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いときには第1電池11に充電し、かつ、第1電池11の充電状態が予め定められたSOC以上であるときには第2電池12に充電するように構成されている。かかる構成によれば、受電ユニット14が外部電源30に接続された際には、受電ユニット14から第1電池11への充電「Charge I」が、受電ユニット14から第2電池12への充電「Charge II」よりも優先される。

Claims (7)
- 第1電池と、
第2電池と、
前記第1電池と前記第2電池とにリレーを介してそれぞれ接続された走行用モータ・ジェネレータと、
前記第1電池と前記第2電池とにリレーを介してそれぞれ接続され、かつ、外部電源に接続される受電ユニットと、
制御装置と
を備え、
前記第1電池は、5C以上の電流値での充電および放電が許容されるように構成されており、
前記第2電池は、前記第1電池よりも高容量の電池であり、
前記制御装置は、
前記受電ユニットが外部電源に接続されたか否かを判定し、
前記受電ユニットが外部電源に接続されたと判定された場合に、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いか否かを判定し、
前記受電ユニットが外部電源に接続されたと判定された場合に、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いときには、前記第2電池の充電状態に関わらず、前記第2電池よりも優先して前記受電ユニットを通じて前記外部電源から前記第1電池に充電し、かつ、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOC以上であるときには、前記受電ユニットを通じて前記外部電源から前記第2電池に充電し、
前記受電ユニットが外部電源から切り離されており、かつ、前記第1電池と前記第2電池とが共に前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから切り離されているときには、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いときに、前記第2電池から前記第1電池に充電が行なわれ、かつ、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも高いときに、前記第1電池から前記第2電池に充電が行なわれ、前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから要求される出力値が予め定められた出力値以上であるときに、前記第1電池から優先的に出力され、かつ、前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから回生電力が出力された際に、前記第1電池に優先的に充電されるように構成された、
車両走行システム。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記受電ユニットを通じて前記外部電源から前記第1電池に充電する際の電流値が、前記受電ユニットを通じて前記外部電源から前記第2電池に充電する際の電流値よりも高くなるように構成された、請求項1に記載された車両走行システム。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから回生電力が出力された際に、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いときには前記第1電池に入力し、前記第1電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOC以上であるときには前記第2電池に入力するように構成されている、請求項1または2に記載された車両走行システム。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから要求される出力値が予め定められた出力値よりも低く、かつ、前記第2電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOC以上のときに、前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータが第2電池に接続され、さらに、
前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータから要求される出力値が予め定められた出力値よりも低く、かつ、前記第2電池の充電状態が予め定められたSOCよりも低いときに、前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータが前記第1電池に接続されるように構成された、
請求項1から3までの何れか一項に記載された車両走行システム。 - 前記第1電池は、前記第2電池よりも軽く、かつ、小型である、請求項1から4までの何れか一項に記載された、車両走行システム。
- 前記走行用モータ・ジェネレータと前記第2電池との電流経路に、走行用モータ・ジェネレータから第2電池へ向かう電流を一定以下に制限するように定電流ダイオードが組み込まれている、請求項1から5までの何れか一項に記載された、車両走行システム。
- 請求項1から6までの何れか一項に記載された車両走行システムが搭載された車両。
