Claims (4)
- 整列して配置された複数本の電極を有するタッチパネルと、
前記タッチパネルの表面から離れた位置にある指示体までの高さを検出するために用いる検出用信号を生成して前記複数本の電極に入力する検出用信号生成手段と、
前記検出用信号が前記複数本の電極に入力されたときに前記電極に現れる信号成分に基づいて、前記タッチパネルの表面に沿った前記指示体の位置を検出する位置検出手段と、
前記検出用信号が前記複数本の電極に入力されたときに前記電極に現れる信号成分に基づいて、前記タッチパネルの表面から離れた位置にある前記指示体の高さを検出する高さ検出手段と、
を備え、前記高さ検出手段は、前記指示体の高さ検出を行う際に、前記位置検出手段によって検出した前記指示体の位置が前記タッチパネルの周辺部に含まれるときに、非周辺部に含まれる場合に比べて高さを減じる補正を行うことを特徴とする入力装置。 - 前記高さ検出手段は、前記非周辺部において所定本数の前記電極に現れる信号成分に基づいて前記指示体の高さ検出を行い、
前記周辺部には、前記所定本数よりも少ない本数の前記電極が含まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の入力装置。 - 前記周辺部において、前記高さ検出手段は、周辺端部に近づくほど高さ補正の量を大きくすることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の入力装置。
- 前記電極に現れる信号成分に基づいて、前記指示体と前記電極との間に生じる静電容量に比例する信号強度を測定する信号測定手段をさらに備え、
前記高さ検出手段は、前記位置検出手段によって検出した前記指示体の位置を中心にした所定本数の前記電極に対応する信号強度を合算して前記指示体の高さ検出を行うことを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の入力装置。
