Description
情報をそのまま4気筒直列エンジンを例に利用した失火診断判定方式の説明図を示すものであり、前記図1に示したコネクティング・ロッド(クランク軸)22に接続されたクランク角度検出用回転盤23により例えば6deg.間隔の等角度における経過時間を観測する。
Claims (3)
- エンジンの燃焼サイクル内における互いに異なる地点である二つのクランク角度を予め定め、所定の角度間隔でクランク角度の検出を可能としており、前記クランク角度のうち膨張行程の開始地点であるA地点のクランク角6deg.経過時間(T6)と前記クランク角度のうち膨張行程の終了地点であるB地点のクランク角6deg.経過時間(T6)の差から膨張行程近傍のエンジンの角加速度(XTM)を燃焼状態の指標値として演算するステップと、
前記指標値と予め定めた閾値を比較し、前記指標値が前記閾値を超えた場合に失火現象によりエンジントルクが負になったことで角加速度が低下したとして失火が発生していると予備判断し、失火カウントを加算するステップと、
前記失火カウントと予め定めた失火カウント閾値を比較し、前記失火カウントが前記失火カウント閾値を超えた場合、且つ、前記エンジンの排気系に備えられた触媒の下流部に設けられた排気ガス温度センサの温度が規定値を超える場合に失火による故障確定を判断するステップと、
を順次行うことを特徴とするエンジンの失火診断検出方法。 - 前記二つのクランク角度の各地点のクランク角度位置情報を予めエンジン制御装置におけるコンピュータ内の記憶装置に記憶しておき、エンジンに備えたクランク角度センサおよびカム角度センサからの情報を元にして、前記コンピュータの演算処理装置により前記燃焼状態の指標値を算出することを特徴とする請求項1記載のエンジンの失火診断検出方法。
- 前記エンジンは複数の気筒を備えており、
前記気筒のうち特定の気筒において前記失火カウントが著しく増加傾向にある場合、
前記失火カウントと前記失火カウント閾値の比較を行うこと無く、且つ、前記排気ガス温度センサの温度と規定値の比較を行うこと無く、
前記特定の気筒が失火により故障していると判断することを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のエンジンの失火診断検出方法。
