Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係るステレオカメラ1の斜視図であり、ステレオカメラ1が車両2に搭載された状態を示す。図2は、ステレオカメラ1およびカメラカバー5の正面図である。図3は、ステレオカメラ1およびカメラカバー5の平面図である。図4は、ステレオカメラ1およびカメラカバー5の側面図である。
図5は、ステレオカメラ1の電気的構成を示すブロック図である。
図6は、カメラ13L,13Rの撮像範囲について説明するための図である。
以上のように、カメラ13L,13Rの最大撮像範囲が所定方向に一部ずらして配置されている。これにより、カメラ13L,13Rの最大撮像範囲が重複する領域では、ステレオ視による物体の検知が可能となり、最大撮像範囲が重複しない領域では、単眼視による物体の検知が可能となる。そのため、従来のステレオカメラと比較して、ステレオカメラ1全体での撮像範囲を大幅に広角化することができる。
以上、本発明の一実施形態について説明したが、本発明は、他の形態で実施することもできる。

Claims (3)
- 車両の外界を撮像する車両用複眼カメラであって、
所定方向に間隔を空けて並べられ、個々の最大撮像範囲を前記所定方向に一部ずらして配置される複数の撮像手段と、
前記複数の撮像手段が同一の対象物を異なる視点から撮像する重複撮像範囲を設定しつつ、前記所定方向の一方端に配置される前記撮像手段の撮像範囲を相対的に広角に設定し、前記所定方向の他方端に配置される前記撮像手段の撮像範囲を前記重複撮像範囲内で相対的に狭角に設定する撮像範囲設定手段と、を含み、
前記撮像手段は、レンズおよび前記レンズの視野を撮像する撮像素子を備え、
すべての前記撮像手段の前記レンズの画角が同じである、車両用複眼カメラ。 - 前記複数の撮像手段は、前記車両に設けられた光透過部材に対向して配置され、前記光透過部材を通して前記車両の外界を撮像し、
前記複数の撮像手段の下方から前記光透過部材に向けて延出し、前記光透過部材での反射光による画像が前記複数の撮像手段の撮像範囲に映り込むことを防止するフード、をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の車両用複眼カメラ。 - 前記フードは、一部が前記光透過部材に当接し、残部が前記光透過部材から離間している、請求項2に記載の車両用複眼カメラ。
