Description
正極活物質としてNCM(LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2)100重量部、導電材としてカーボンブラック(FX35、Denka)1.5重量部およびバインダー高分子としてポリビニリデンフルオライド(KF9700、Kureha)2.3重量部を溶剤であるNMP(N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone)に添加して正極合剤層スラリーを製造した。上記正極合剤層スラリーを640mg/25cm2のローディング量で厚さ方向貫通ホールが形成されたアルミニウム集電体の一面にコーティングした後に真空乾燥して、正極を得た。上記アルミ集電体において、貫通型ホールが面積分率約40%のレベルに形成され、10cm×10cmの単位面積当たり約50個が形成された構造である。また、上記正極合剤層は、一方向に厚さ約40%のレベルまで順次に減少するように加圧した。
アルミニウムおよび銅集電体がそれぞれメッシュ構造の集電体である点を除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で二次電池を製造した。
正極集電体および負極集電体に、それぞれ厚さ方向貫通型ホールを形成せず、正極合剤層および負極合剤層の厚み配向性を形成しなかった点を除いては、実施例1と同様の方法で正極および負極を製造した。
実施例1および比較例1で製造した各二次電池について、物性を評価した。具体的には、各二次電池に対する充電と放電を行い、充放電時の電圧と温度の変化をそれぞれ測定した。二次電池に対する充電と放電は20℃、1Cの条件で行った。

Claims (12)
- 水平断面構造を基準として、中心軸を中心にn個(nは5以上の整数)の単位セルが放射状に集合されて電池を形成し、かつ
各単位セルは、水平断面構造を基準として、電池の外周面を形成する外側端部から中心軸方向にセルの厚さが減少し、
電池を形成する各単位セルにおいて、
正極および負極は、それぞれ金属集電体上に活物質を含む合剤層が塗布された構造であり、
正極および負極のうちいずれか一つ以上の電極は、水平断面構造を基準として、電池の外周面を形成する外側端部から中心軸方向に金属集電体上に塗布された合剤層の厚さが減少し、
正極および負極のうちいずれか一つ以上の電極は、水平断面構造を基準として、電池の外周面を形成する外側端部から中心軸方向に金属集電体上に塗布された合剤層の密度が増加する、二次電池。 - k番目(kは1~n-1の間の整数)の単位セルとk+1番目の単位セルは、互いに隣接して対面する構造であり、
一番目の単位セルとn番目(nは5~10000の間の整数)の単位セルも互いに隣接して対面する、請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記二次電池は、
水平断面構造を基準として、
中心軸を中心にn個(nは5以上の整数)の単位セルが放射状に集合されて中空が形成されたシリンダ状の構造であり、
電池内径と電池外径の直径割合が1:1.1~100の範囲内にある、請求項1または2に記載の二次電池。 - 電池を形成する各単位セルにおいて、
水平断面構造を基準として、電池の内周面を形成する中心軸方向の内側端部の厚さ(Din)と電池の外周面を形成する外側端部の厚さ(Dout)の割合(Dout:Din)は、1:1.1~100の範囲内にある、請求項3に記載の二次電池。 - 電池を形成する各単位セルにおいて、
正極および負極のうちいずれか一つ以上の電極は、
水平断面構造を基準として、電池の外周面を形成する外側端部から中心軸方向に電極と電極との間の間隔が減少する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。 - 各単位セルは正極および負極を含み、前記正極と前記負極との間には第1分離膜が介在し、単位セルと単位セルとの間には第2分離膜が介在する、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極および前記負極は、
それぞれ第1分離膜と対面する方向の集電体の一面に活物質を含む合剤層が積層されている、請求項6に記載の二次電池。 - 電池を形成する各単位セルにおいて、
正極および負極のうちいずれか一つ以上の電極を形成する金属集電体は、厚さ方向貫通型ホールが形成された多孔性構造である、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。 - 電池を形成する各単位セルにおいて、
正極および負極のうちいずれか一つ以上の電極を形成する金属集電体は、厚さ方向貫通型ホールが形成された多孔性構造であり、
前記厚さ方向貫通型ホールが形成された面積分率は、10~80%の範囲内にある、請求項8に記載の二次電池。 - 前記多孔性構造の金属集電体はメッシュ形態である、請求項8または9に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池を含む、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、モバイル電子機器、ウェアラブル電子機器、バッテリベースのモーターによって動力を受けて動くパワーツール、ドローン、電気自動車(EV)、ハイブリッド電気自動車(HEV)、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車(PHEV)、電気自転車、電動スクーター、電動ゴルフカートまたは電力貯蔵用システムである、請求項11に記載のデバイス。
