Description
本発明は、セキュリティ特徴の分野並びに偽造及び不法な複製に対する文書及び物品の保護のためのそれらの使用に関する。特に、本発明は、紫外(UV)光を吸収して、強い近赤外(NIR)ルミネッセンスを示すフォトルミネッセントスズ酸バリウム材料の分野に関する。そのような材料は、セキュリティインク組成物及び偽造防止が改善された潜在的セキュリティ特徴を製造するのに特に有用である。
カラー写真の複写及び印刷の品質の不断の改善に加えて、並びに偽造、変造又は不法な複製に対して、再現可能な効果のない紙幣、有価の文書若しくはカード、輸送機関の切符若しくはカード、税のロール紙、及び製品ラベルなどのセキュリティ文書を保護するための試みで、これらの文書に種々のセキュリティ手段を組み込むことが従来の慣行であった。セキュリティ手段の典型的な例には、セキュリティ繊条、ウィンドウ、繊維、プランシェット、フォイル、ステッカー、ホログラム、透かし、光学的に可変の顔料を含むセキュリティインク、磁性又は磁性化され得る薄膜干渉型顔料、干渉型被覆粒子、サーモクロミズム顔料、フォトクロミズム顔料、発光性、赤外吸収、紫外吸収又は磁性化合物が含まれる。
したがって、UVスペクトルの範囲で吸収するが、VISスペクトルの範囲では吸収せず、NIRスペクトルの範囲で、従来技術のBaSnO3及び鉄ドープBaSnO3試料よりも大幅に強いフォトルミネッセンス強度を示すフォトルミネッセント鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム材料を提供することが本発明の目的である。これは、約10~約500重量ppmの第二鉄カチオン(Fe3+)濃度を有する、本明細書に記載される鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム材料により達成される。
a)セキュリティ文書又は物品の本明細書に記載される1種又は複数のセキュリティ特徴に紫外光を照射するステップと;
b)紫外光を用いる照射に応答して1種又は複数のセキュリティ特徴により発光される放射線のスペクトルのパラメーターを測定するステップと;

を含む方法も、本明細書で特許請求され記載される。
d)Ba2+及びSn4+を含む予め撹拌された水溶液に、適当な体積のFe3+水溶液を添加するステップと;
e)ステップd)の水溶液をNaOH水溶液に添加し、それにより鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿の形成を生じさせるステップと;
f)ステップe)の懸濁液のpHを、好ましくはNaOH又はHCl水溶液の添加により約11に調節するステップと;
g)鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿を分離するステップと;

定義
詳細な説明で論じられた、及び請求項で再び引用される用語の意味を解釈するために、以下の定義が使用されるべきである。

g2)該鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿を、約80℃~250℃の間の温度で約10~14hの間、好ましくは90℃~200℃の間で11~13hの間乾燥するステップ

本明細書に記載されるフォトルミネッセントセキュリティインク組成物を、本明細書に記載される基材に本明細書に記載されるように適用して、フォトルミネッセントセキュリティインク層を形成するステップと、
該フォトルミネッセントセキュリティインク層を本明細書に記載されるように硬化させるステップと
を含むプロセスを対象とする。
a)本明細書に記載されるセキュリティ文書又はセキュリティ物品の1種又は複数のセキュリティ特徴に、紫外光、即ち約10nm~約400nmの間の1種又は複数の波長を有する電磁放射線を照射するステップと;
b)紫外光を用いる照射に応答して1種又は複数のセキュリティ特徴により発光される放射線のスペクトルのパラメーターを測定するステップと;
c)セキュリティ文書又は物品の認証を決定するステップと
を含む方法を対象とする。
1種又は複数のセキュリティ特徴により1種又は複数の所定の近赤外波長で発光される放射線の強度、及び/又は

試薬は、以下の供給業者から得た:
SnCl4・5H2O 98% Alfa Aesarから;
BaCl2・2H2O 99+% AlfaAesarから;
BaCO3≧99% Sigma-Aldrichから;
SnO297% Sigma-Aldrichから;
Fe(NO3)3・H2O ACS規格 Prochemから;
NaOH 10N溶液 JTBakerから。
I.A 湿式プロセスによる鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム材料の合成
I.A.1 湿式製造プロセス条件の最適化。BaSnO3試料C1~C6の合成。
SnCl4・5H2O(29.01g、82.2mmol)を、125mlの水中で12mlの濃HClの溶液に添加し、透明なSn(IV)溶液を得て、その溶液を1時間室温で撹拌した。BaCl2・2H2O(22.14g、90.4mmol)を添加し該溶液を15分間撹拌した。得られた溶液を、NaOH溶液(204ml;NaOH濃度:表1を参照されたい)に室温で激しく撹拌しながら滴下添加すると、BaSn(OH)6の沈殿が生じた。該溶液のpHを、NaOH溶液又はHCl溶液で表1に記載された値に調節した。該懸濁液を、緩やかに撹拌しながら1.5時間熟成させた。沈殿を1250rpmで30分間遠心分離して、脱イオン水で上清のpHが約7~8になるまで洗浄した。遠心分離は、6×500mlのジャーを備えたThermoforma GP8Rで行なった。
200重量ppmのFe3+貯蔵溶液は、Fe(NO3)3・9H2O(0.7246g、1.8mmol)を水(500ml)に溶解することにより調製した。
500ppmのFe3+貯蔵溶液は、Fe(NO3)3・9H2O(0.362g、0.896mmol)をエタノール(100ml)に溶解することにより調製した。
II.A フォトルミネッセントインクE1b~E8b及びC3bの調製
表4に記載された組成を有するフォトルミネッセントインク(E1b~E8b、C3b)を、以下のように調製した:鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム(試料E1~E8)又はBaSnO3(試料C3)、VINNOL E22/48、DOWANOL DPM及びUCARエステルEEPの混合物を、室温でスピードミキサー(Flacktek Inc.からのDAC 150 FVZ-K)及び3種のジルコニアビーズ(5mm)を用いて3200rpmで6分間混合した。
セキュリティ特徴E1a~E8a及びC3aは、上記II.A項で得られたフォトルミネッセントインクを、ポリマー基材(二配向ポリプロピレン、BOPP)にドローダウンバーを使用して80□mで適用することにより、フォトルミネッセントインク層を得て、前記層を室温で約4時間乾燥することにより調製した。セキュリティ特徴E1a~E8a及びC3のフォトルミネッセンスを蛍光分光光度計を用いて測定した。
Claims (7)
- 10~500重量ppmの第二鉄(Fe3+)カチオン濃度を有する鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム材料を製造するプロセスであって、
d)Ba2+及びSn4+を含む予め撹拌された水溶液に、適当な体積のFe3+水溶液を添加するステップと、
e)ステップd)の水溶液をNaOH水溶液に添加し、それにより鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿の形成を生じさせるステップと、
f)ステップe)の懸濁液のpHを11に調節するステップと、
g)前記鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿を分離するステップと、
h)前記鉄ドープBaSn(OH)6の沈殿を焼成するステップと
を含むプロセス。 - 前記懸濁液のpHが、NaOH又はHCl水溶液の添加により調節される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- ステップh)の後で実施されるステップl):
l)ステップh)で得られた焼成された沈殿を篩うステップ
をさらに含む、請求項1又は2に記載のプロセス。 - 前記鉄ドープスズ酸バリウム材料の前記第二鉄カチオン濃度が、10~300ppmである、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
