様々なメトリクスが、そのようなスマート警告機能を動作させるための適切なアルゴリズムの構築に用いられてもよく、そのようなメトリクスは別個にまたは組み合わせて注意に値する糖尿病状態の認識的気付きの推定または予測を導出することを示す。場合によってはそのようなメトリクスは、推定データまたは予測データに変換され、他の場合においては、アルゴリズムは、推定または予測データを導出するために使用される。そのようなメトリックスには、変化速度、グルコースレベル閾値までの時間(例えば、最初の20mg/dLがどれくらいの早さで変化するか)、残留インスリン量などが含まれる。スマート警告機能の一次ドライバは、リアルタイムの分析物濃度値、例えば、グルコースセンサによって測定されたグルコース値、及びセンサによって測定されたグルコース値から導出されたグルコース変化速度である。しかしながら、他の生理学的量も用いられ得る。場合によってはデータの受信/データの校正/データの表示が、単一の物理デバイスによって行われる一方で、他の場合においては、複数のデバイスが使用されてもよく、そのような場合、データは、必要に応じて、かつ適切なデータ送信プロトコルに従ってあるデバイスから別のデバイスに送信され得る。
本原理に従うシステムへのデータ入力によって収集されるユーザ入力または挙動も、認識的気付きの推定または予測で用いられ得る。例えば、ある特定のユーザ挙動が、注意に値する糖尿病状態のユーザの自己治療と一致するため、ユーザ挙動は、認識的気付きを示し得る。
グルコースにおけるパターンは、患者が自身の糖尿病管理及び医師がどのように自身の患者を管理するかを理解及び助けるのに有用であり得る。ユーザによる注意を必要とするか、または注意が必要な領域を強調するパターンの判定のための努力が行われてきた。
様々な種類の挙動及び文脈情報も、ユーザの認識的気付きを判定、予測、または推定するための、スマート警告機能への入力として用いられ得る。
ユーザ入力、変化速度及びパターンデータなどの派生データを含むグルコースデータ、ならびに挙動/文脈データのソース以外の他のデータソースも、用いられてもよい。
スマート警告機能の出力は、概して表示された出力であるが、アルゴリズム自体が、ユーザ認識の計算、推定、または予測の意味で「出力」を有し得、したがって(例えば、ユーザが、注意に値する糖尿病状態に認識的に気付いていると推定または予測される場合に)警告を抑制すること、または単純に警告生成ステップが起こらないようにさせることは、この意味で「出力」とも見なされる。
スマート警告は、注入ポンプ及び他のそのような送達デバイスからデータと組み合わせて有益に用いられてもよい。ある程度、スマート警告の使用は、開ループシステム、閉ループシステム、または半閉ループシステムに関わらず、送達デバイスの使用に左右される。
種々のシステムを用いて、本原理に従うスマート警告機能を実装してもよい。例えば、一実装形態において、健康及び糖尿病管理専用のモバイルコンピュータデバイス、例えば、スマートデバイス、例えば、スマートフォンが、用いられ得る。該モバイルコンピュータデバイスは、健康/糖尿病管理専用のデバイスであってもよいか、または健康及び糖尿病管理に特別に適合されたより一般的なデバイスであってもよい。デバイスは、ユーザによって自身のライフスタイル及び好みに合うように構成可能であってもよい。モバイルデバイスは、AndroidまたはiOS(または他の)オペレーティングシステムに基づいてもよく、タッチスクリーンインターフェースを利用してもよい。場合によっては、オペレーティングシステムは、例えば、クラウドにデータを提供し、ユーザ経験の要素を最適化/制御するための管理サービスに関して、カスタマイズまたは制御されてもよい。デバイスには、Bluetooth(登録商標)Low Energyなどの、1つ以上の共通の無線通信リンクが含まれていてもよい。デバイスには、リモート監視、データ転送、及びソフトウェア更新のためのWiFiまたは他のデータ接続技術も含まれていてもよい。
図45は、いくつかの例示的な実装に従った例示的なシステム100を示す。システム100は、センサ電子機器12と連続分析物センサ10とを含む、連続分析物センサシステム8を含む。システム100は、薬剤送達ポンプ2及びグルコースメータ4などの他のデバイス及び/またはセンサを含んでもよい。連続分析物センサ10は、センサ電子機器12に物理的に接続されてもよく、連続分析物センサ10と一体化であっても(例えば、解放不可能に取り付けられても)、または解放可能に取り付け可能であってもよい。センサ電子機器12、薬剤送達ポンプ2、及び/またはグルコースメータ4は、ディスプレイデバイス14、16、18、及び/または20などの1つ以上のデバイスと連結してもよい。
非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体1:非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体であって、非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体は、認識的気付きの判定に基づいてユーザ警告を動的に調節または調整し、それにより注意に値する糖尿病状態の治療に関するデータを提供する方法をコンピューティング環境に行わせる命令を備え、該方法は、現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態を特定するステップであって、特定は、グルコース濃度値に少なくとも部分的に基づく、特定するステップと、特定された現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態の、ユーザの認識的気付きを推定または予測するステップと、推定または予測の結果が、ユーザが特定された現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態に認識的に気付いていないという結果である場合、監視デバイスのユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いてユーザに警告するステップであって、ユーザプロンプトは、注意に値する糖尿病状態を示す、警告するステップと、を含み、それにより、ユーザが注意に値する糖尿病状態に気付いておらず、かつ通知がユーザに対して有効である場合、かつこれらの時点でのみ、ユーザは、注意に値する糖尿病状態を警告される、媒体。

Claims (13)
- 非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体であって、前記非一時的コンピュータ可読媒体は、認識的気付きの判定に基づいてユーザ警告を動的に調節または調整し、それにより注意に値する糖尿病状態の治療に関するデータを提供する方法をコンピューティング環境に行わせる命令を備え、前記方法は、
現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態を特定するステップであって、前記特定は、グルコース濃度値に少なくとも部分的に基づく、特定するステップと、
前記特定された現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態に、ユーザが認識的に気付いているかを推定または予測するステップであって、前記認識的に気付いているかの前記推定または予測は、前記ユーザの挙動の確立されたパターンに基づく、推定または予測するステップと、
前記推定または予測の結果が、前記ユーザが前記特定された現在または将来の注意に値する糖尿病状態に認識的に気付いていないという結果である場合、監視デバイスのユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて前記ユーザに警告するステップであって、前記ユーザプロンプトは、前記注意に値する糖尿病状態を示す、警告するステップと、を含み、
それにより、前記ユーザが前記注意に値する糖尿病状態に気付いておらず、かつ前記警告が前記ユーザに対して有効である場合、かつこれらの時点でのみ、前記ユーザは、前記注意に値する糖尿病状態を警告され、
監視デバイスのユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて前記ユーザに警告するステップは、
前記ユーザが第1の警告を無視した場合、前記監視デバイスの第2のユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて、または第2のデバイスの第2のユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて、前記ユーザに警告するステップ
を含む、媒体。 - 前記監視デバイスは、モバイルセルラーデバイスであり、前記第2のユーザインターフェースは、オーディオチャネルを含む、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記ユーザプロンプトは、可聴プロンプトであり、前記オーディオチャネルを通して再生される、請求項2に記載の媒体。
- 前記監視デバイスは、モバイルセルラーデバイスであり、前記第2のユーザインターフェースは、振動性、力覚、または触覚レンダリングシステムを含む、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記ユーザプロンプトは、振動性プロンプトであり、前記振動性、力覚、または触覚レンダリングシステムを通して再生される、請求項4に記載の媒体。
- 前記第2のユーザインターフェースは、オーディオチャネルを含み、前記ユーザプロンプトは、可聴プロンプトであり、前記オーディオチャネルを通して再生され、
前記可聴プロンプトが前記ユーザによって受信確認が行われない場合、前記振動性プロンプトのレンダリングが引き起こされる、請求項5に記載の媒体。 - 前記第2のデバイスは、薬剤送達デバイスであり、前記ユーザプロンプトは、可聴プロンプトまたは振動性プロンプトである、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記監視デバイスの第2のユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて、または第2のデバイスの第2のユーザインターフェース上のユーザプロンプトを用いて、前記ユーザに警告するステップは、力覚または振動性信号をレンダリングするステップを含む、請求項1に記載の媒体。
- 前記レンダリングするステップは、前記監視デバイス上でレンダリングするステップを含む、請求項8に記載の媒体。
- 前記レンダリングするステップは、前記監視デバイスと信号通信する前記第2のデバイス上でレンダリングするステップを含む、請求項8に記載の媒体。
- 前記監視デバイスは、スマートフォンであり、前記監視デバイスと信号通信する前記第2のデバイスは、スマートウォッチである、請求項10に記載の媒体。
- 前記レンダリングするステップは、あるパターンで前記ユーザプロンプトをレンダリングするステップを含み、前記パターンは、前記注意に値する糖尿病状態に対応する、請求項8に記載の媒体。
- ユーザの注意に値する糖尿病状態に対応するスマート警告を提供するためのシステムであって、
モバイルデバイス上で実行されるCGMアプリケーションであって、少なくとも周期的にまたは時々センサからデータを受信し、臨床単位でのグルコース濃度データを校正及び表示するように構成されているCGMアプリケーションと、
前記モバイルデバイス上で、前記CGMアプリケーション内でサブルーチンとして実行されるか、または前記CGMアプリケーションとの並行プロセスとして実行され、前記CGMアプリケーションからデータを受信するスマート警告アプリケーションであって、請求項1に記載の媒体に含まれる前記方法を行うように構成されているスマート警告アプリケーションと、を備えるシステム。
