Claims (9)
- ガラスファイバと、前記ガラスファイバを覆う樹脂被覆とを含む光ファイバと、
外側にフランジが設けられて、内側に貫通穴を有し、前記貫通穴内に前記光ファイバの一端部において前記樹脂被覆から露出した前記ガラスファイバを保持したフェルールと、
前記フェルールを収容したプラグフレームと、
前記フェルールのフランジに当接して前記フェルールを前記フェルールにおいて保持されている前記光ファイバの一端部のある方向である前記貫通穴の軸の方向前方に付勢する弾性部材と、を備えた光コネクタであって、
前記フェルールのフランジは、外周面を構成する全ての面が前記貫通穴の軸に平行であり、
前記プラグフレームの内周に、前記貫通穴の軸の方向前方に向けて次第に内部空間を狭くして前記フェルールを前記プラグフレームに挿入するテーパ面と、前記テーパ面に対向する位置に形成されて前記フェルールのフランジの外周面を構成する平坦面に接触して前記弾性部材により付勢された前記フェルールを所定位置で回転不能に位置決めする、前記弾性部材による付勢方向に平行な平面であり前記テーパ面よりも前記貫通穴の軸の方向前方に延びたガイド面とを有し、
前記所定位置に対して前記フェルールを前記貫通穴の軸方向前方と反対方向の前記貫通穴の軸の方向後方に移動させた場合に、前記平坦面と前記ガイド面の接触状態が解除されて、前記フェルールが前記プラグフレームに対してフローティング状態になる、光コネクタ。 - 前記所定位置で前記平坦面と前記ガイド面とが接触した場合に、前記フェルールのフランジが前記テーパ面と前記ガイド面とに挟持される、
請求項1に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記フェルールのフランジは断面視略四角形状である、
請求項1または2に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記フェルールのフランジは断面視軸対称でない、
請求項1または2に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記フェルールのフランジは断面視D字形状である、
請求項4に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記フェルールのフランジは前記平坦面とは異なる面に、キー突起を有し、前記プラグフレームは、前記キー突起がその内部で摺動するキー溝を内周面に有する、
請求項4に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記光ファイバが、シングルモードファイバ、マルチコアファイバ、偏波保持ファイバ、バンドルファイバのいずれかである、
請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の光コネクタ。 - 前記フェルールがジルコニア製である、
請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の光コネクタ。 - 請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の光コネクタと、スリーブを介して前記光コネクタに連結される接続対象物と、を備え、前記光コネクタ側の光ファイバと前記接続対象物側の光ファイバとを光学的に接続する光接続構造であって、
前記フェルールを前記スリーブに挿入し、前記プラグフレームの前記所定位置に対して前記フェルールを前記貫通穴の軸の方向後方に移動させた場合に、前記平坦面と前記ガイド面の接触状態が解除される、光接続構造。
