Description
L3は単結合、-O-、-SO2-、-O(CH2)yO-または-CR17R18-であり、ここでyは1~10の整数であり、R17およびR18はそれぞれ独立して、水素、または炭素数1~10のアルキルである。
粘度変化率(%)=(常温で7日間保管後の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度-最初の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度)/最初の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度*100
前記実施例および比較例の液晶配向剤組成物から得られた液晶配向膜に対して、ATR法でFT-IRスペクトルを測定して、前記配向膜に含まれている重合体分子内イミド構造比率を測定した。
上記で製造した液晶配向セルの上板および下板に、偏光板を互いに垂直となるように取り付けた。そして、偏光板付き液晶配向セルを明るさ7,000cd/m2のバックライト上に置き、肉眼で光漏れを観察した。この時、液晶配向膜の配向特性に優れて液晶をよく配列させれば、互いに垂直に取り付けられた上下の偏光板によって光が通過せず、不良なしに暗く観察される。この場合の配向特性を「良好」、液晶の流れ跡や輝点のような光漏れが観察されると「不良」と評価し、その結果を下記表2に示す。
優秀:輝度変動率が0%以上10%未満
普通:輝度変動率が10%以上20%未満
不良:輝度変動率が20%以上
前記実施例および比較例での液晶配向剤組成物に対して、最初の粘度と、常温で7日間保管した後の粘度をそれぞれ測定して、下記数式1によって粘度変化率を測定した。
粘度変化率(%)=(常温で7日間保管後の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度-最初の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度)/最初の液晶配向剤組成物の粘度*100
優秀:粘度変化率が0%以上5%未満
普通:粘度変化率が5%以上10%未満
不良:粘度変化率が10%以上
上記で製造した液晶配向セルの電気的特性である電圧保持率(VHR)をTOYO corporation製の6254装置を用いて測定した。電圧保持率は1V、1Hz、60℃の苛酷条件で測定した。

- 分解型液晶配向重合体;および
下記化学式1で表される触媒前駆体化合物
を含む、
液晶配向剤組成物であって、
前記分解型液晶配向重合体は、
下記化学式2で表される繰り返し単位、下記化学式3で表される繰り返し単位および下記化学式4で表される繰り返し単位からなる群から選択される1種以上の繰り返し単位を含む、

Raは、炭素数1~10のアルキル基、炭素数1~10のアルコキシ基、炭素数6~20のアリール基、炭素数6~20のアリールカルボニル基、または炭素数6~20のアリールオキシ基のうちの一つであり、
RbおよびRcは、それぞれ独立して、水素、炭素数1~10のアルキル基、炭素数1~10のアルコキシ基、炭素数3~20のシクロアルキル基、または炭素数6~30のアリール基のうちの一つであり、
Rdは、少なくとも1個以上のヒドロキシ基(-OH)が置換された炭素数2~10のアルキル基、炭素数2~30のアリールアルキル基、炭素数2~30のシクロアルキルアルキル基、炭素数2~10のアルコキシアルキル基である)
