Description
本願は、2015年12月18日に出願された米国特許出願第14/975,471号に基づく優先権を主張する。
一般に、混合物が不焼成プロセスにより硬化させられるとき、エステル硬化剤が液状で骨材物質にフェノールレゾール樹脂成分とともに加えられる。次いで、この混合物が成形され、成分間の反応が完了するまで単に硬化させられ、鋳造の鋳型及び中子のような成形品が形成される。しかし、当業者が認識しているように、他の混合方法を用いてよいと考えられる。更に、本発明の混合物は、パターン状鋳型及び中子用箱型を含む、エステル硬化性フェノールバインダー系との使用に適切なハウジング内で、硬化させられることが考えられる。

Claims (8)
- 鋳造鋳型及び中子の形成に用いるエステル硬化鋳造バインダーからのホルムアルデヒド放出を減少させる方法であって、
(a)骨材と、約13以上のpHを有する水溶性アルカリフェノールレゾール樹脂とを合せて第1の混合物を形成する工程、
(b)エステル硬化剤とレゾルシノールとを合せて変性エステル硬化剤を形成する工程、及び
(c)前記第1の混合物と前記変性エステル硬化剤とを合せて第2の混合物を形成する工程
を含み、
前記変性エステル硬化剤は、前記第2の混合物からのホルムアルデヒドの減少された放出に作用するように構成され、
前記エステル硬化剤は、エステル硬化剤重量の約90%~約100%のグリセロールトリアセテートを含む
方法。 - 前記樹脂は、樹脂重量の約5%~約10%の水酸化ナトリウムを含む
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記エステル硬化剤と前記レゾルシノールとの比は、変性エステル硬化剤の重量比で約19:1~約99:1である

(e)前記第2の混合物を硬化させる工程、

前記変性エステル硬化剤と前記レゾルシノールとの比は、変性エステル硬化剤の重量比で約19:1~約99:1である
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 鋳造鋳型及び中子の形成に用いるエステル硬化鋳造バインダーからのホルムアルデヒド放出を減少させる方法であって、
(a)骨材と水溶性アルカリフェノールレゾール樹脂とを合せて第1の混合物を形成する工程、
(b)エステル硬化剤とレゾルシノールとを合せて変性エステル硬化剤を形成する工程、及び
(c)前記第1の混合物と前記変性エステル硬化剤とを合せて第2の混合物を形成する工程
を含み、
前記樹脂は、樹脂重量の約5%~約10%の水酸化ナトリウムを含み、
前記樹脂は、約13以上のpHを有し、
前記エステル硬化剤は、エステル硬化剤重量の約20%~約100%のグリセロールトリアセテートを含み、
前記エステル硬化剤と前記レゾルシノールとの比は、変性エステル硬化剤の重量比で約19:1~約99:1であり、
前記変性エステル硬化剤は、前記第2の混合物からのホルムアルデヒドの減少された放出に作用するように構成されている
