Description
図1は、本発明の実施形態に係る積層造形装置1の構成を示した図である。図1に示すように、積層造形装置1は、チャンバ11と、材料層形成装置4と、照射装置5と、冷却装置6と、を備える。
冷却装置6は、固化層Sが積層してなる固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部を所定の冷却温度に冷却する。以下においては、冷却対象となる固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部を、上面層と呼ぶ。図3から図5に示すように、冷却装置6は、冷却部と、昇降装置62と、ワイパ63と、冷媒流入口64と、冷媒流出口65と、を有する。
次に、積層造形装置1を制御する制御装置8について説明する。図8に示すように、制御装置8は、数値制御装置82、表示装置83、材料層形成制御装置84、造形テーブル制御装置85、昇降装置駆動装置86、照射制御装置87、第1のミラー制御装置871xおよび第2のミラー制御装置871yを有している。制御装置8は、少なくとも、積層造形装置1の造形テーブル駆動装置3と、材料層形成装置4と、温度調整機構26と、冷却装置6と、照射装置5と、を制御するものである。
本実施形態の積層造形装置1は、造形途中に固化層に対して温度調整を行う三次元造形物の製造方法を実施するにあたり、特に有効である。そのような製造方法の一例として、本実施形態においては、固化層Sに対して所定の温度条件で加熱および冷却を行いながら造形を行うことで、意図的にマルテンサイト変態を進行させて三次元造形物の応力制御を行う積層造形方法が実施される。より具体的には、1層または複数層の固化層Sが新たに造形される毎に、新たに造形された固化層S、すなわち上面層に対し、造形温度、冷却温度、造形温度の順番で温度調整が行われる。以下、本積層造形方法を実施する積層造形装置1の造形に係る動作を説明する。

Claims (7)
- 所望の三次元造形物が形成される造形領域に材料層を形成する材料層形成装置と、
前記材料層にレーザ光または電子ビームを照射して焼結または溶融させ固化層を形成する照射装置と、
前記固化層が積層してなる固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部を所定の冷却温度に冷却する冷却装置と、を備え、
前記材料層形成装置は、
前記造形領域を有するベース台と、
前記ベース台上に配置されるリコータヘッドと、
前記リコータヘッドを水平1軸方向に往復移動させるリコータヘッド駆動装置と、
前記リコータヘッドに設けられ、材料粉体を均して前記材料層を形成するブレードと、を含み、
前記冷却装置は、
前記リコータヘッドに設けられ、前記冷却温度に温度調整され、前記固化体の上面と接触する冷却部と、
前記冷却部の下端よりも、下端が下方に位置するワイパと、
前記冷却部および前記ワイパを昇降させる昇降装置と、を含み、
前記昇降装置は、
前記材料層形成装置が前記材料層を形成する際に、前記冷却部および前記ワイパと前記材料層とを非接触状態に保ち、
前記冷却装置が前記固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部を冷却する際に、前記冷却部と前記固化体とを接触状態に保ち、
前記ワイパは、
前記冷却部が前記固化体と接触するよりも先に、前記固化体から余分の前記材料粉体を除去する、積層造形装置。 - 前記リコータヘッドは、
前記材料粉体を収容する材料収容部と、
前記材料収容部の底面に配設され、前記材料粉体を吐出する材料吐出部と、を有する、請求項1に記載の積層造形装置。 - 前記ベース台には、開口である材料排出部が形成され、
前記リコータヘッドは、前記冷却部が前記固化体の上面に接触する前に、前記材料排出部上に移動し、前記材料収容部内の前記材料粉体を排出する、請求項2に記載の積層造形装置。 - 前記冷却部は、前記固化体の上面と接触しながら回転移動するローラである、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記冷却部は、冷媒が流通する管路を有する、請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記冷却温度は、前記固化層のマルテンサイト変態開始温度以下である、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記冷却温度は、前記固化層のマルテンサイト変態終了温度以下である、請求項6に記載の積層造形装置。
