Description
本発明の実施形態に係る積層造形装置100は、材料層8を形成し、この材料層8の照射領域に例えばレーザ光Lであるビームを照射して溶融または焼結する工程を繰り返すことで、複数の固化層を積層して所望の形状を有する三次元造形物を生成する積層造形装置である。
図4および図5に示すように、本発明の実施形態に係る加工ヘッド50には、冷却装置65が設けられている。冷却装置65は、冷却板70を備える。冷却板70は、材料層8にレーザ光L等のビームが照射されて形成された固化層が積層してなる固化体81の上面に密接し、冷却するための冷却面70aを有する。具体的に、冷却面70aは、冷却板70の下側の面である。なお、固化体81の上面とは、冷却装置65による冷却が行われる時点での、最上層の固化層の上面を意味する。
図12から図15を用いて、積層造形装置100を用いた三次元造形物の製造方法について説明する。なお、図12から図15では、視認性を考慮し図1から図11で示していた積層造形装置100の構成要素を一部省略している。

なお、本願発明は、造形途中に固化層に対して温度調整を行うその他の三次元造形物の製造方法にも有効である。

Claims (11)
- 所望の三次元造形物を所定高さで分割してなる複数の分割層毎に形成された材料層にビームを照射して固化層を形成する照射装置と、
前記固化層に対して加工を行う工具を把持する加工ヘッドと、前記加工ヘッドを少なくとも水平方向に移動させる加工ヘッド駆動装置と、を含む加工装置と、
前記加工ヘッドに設けられ、前記固化層が積層してなる固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部を所定の冷却温度に冷却する冷却装置と、を備え、
前記冷却装置は、
前記冷却温度に冷却される冷却面を有し、前記冷却面が水平方向に沿った横臥状態で前記固化体の前記上面に密接される冷却板と、
前記冷却面が垂直方向に沿った起立状態と前記横臥状態との間で前記冷却板を回動させる回動部と、を含み、
前記回動部は、前記冷却装置による前記固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部への冷却を行なわないときは前記冷却板を前記起立状態に設定し、前記冷却装置による前記固化体の上面を含む少なくとも一部への冷却を行うときは前記冷却板を前記横臥状態に設定する、積層造形装置。 - 前記冷却板は、冷媒が流通する管路を有する、請求項1に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記管路と接続され、前記冷媒を前記冷却温度に温度調整するとともに、前記管路に前記冷媒を循環させるチラーをさらに備える、請求項2に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記冷却温度は、前記固化層のマルテンサイト変態開始温度以下である、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記冷却温度は、前記固化層のマルテンサイト変態終了温度以下である、請求項4に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記固化体、前記加工ヘッドおよび前記冷却板を覆うチャンバと、
前記チャンバに露点温度が前記冷却温度未満である所定濃度の不活性ガスを供給する不活性ガス供給装置をさらに備える、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。 - 前記冷却装置は、前記横臥状態の前記冷却板を垂直方向に移動させる冷却板昇降装置をさらに含む、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記起立状態の冷却板が前記横臥状態へ回動しないように固定するロック機構をさらに備える、請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記ロック機構は、
前記冷却板と前記加工ヘッドのいずれか一方に設けられる係止部を有する係止部材と、
前記冷却板と前記加工ヘッドのいずれか他方に設けられるシリンダと、を含み、
前記シリンダは、
前記冷却板が前記起立状態のときに前記係止部と係合する先端を有するピストンと、
前記ピストンが挿通されるシリンダチューブと、
前記ピストンが前記係止部と係合する方向に常時前記ピストンを付勢する弾性部材と、を有し、
前記冷却板を前記起立状態から前記横臥状態に回動させるときに、前記係止部との係合が解除される方向に前記ピストンを移動させることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の積層造形装置。 - 前記加工ヘッドに設けられ、前記固化体の温度を測定する温度測定ユニットをさらに備える、請求項1から請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の積層造形装置。
- 前記温度測定ユニットは、
前記固化体の前記上面と接触して温度を測定する温度センサと、
前記温度センサを垂直方向に移動させる温度センサ昇降装置と、を含む、請求項10に記載の積層造形装置。
