Description

a.組成物の総量に対して70~99重量%の量で熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマーと、1~30重量%の量で可塑剤とを含む組成物であって、熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマーが、少なくとも1つの脂肪族ジオールおよび少なくとも1つの芳香族ジカルボン酸またはそのエステルから誘導されるポリエステル反復単位から構成されるハードセグメントと、脂肪族ポリエーテル、脂肪族ポリエステル、脂肪族ポリカーボネート、二量体脂肪酸および二量体脂肪族ジオールおよびその組み合わせからなる群から選択されるソフトセグメントと、を含む、組成物を提供する工程;
b.組成物を(Tm-100)℃~Tmの発泡温度にする工程であって、Tmが、窒素雰囲気下での加熱および冷却速度10℃/分を用いて、ISO11357-1:1997DSCに準拠して第2加熱曲線において測定される熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマー組成物のハードセグメントの融解温度である、工程;
c.圧力を維持しながら、加圧下にて組成物に物理的発泡剤を提供する工程;
d.圧力を開放し、それによって発泡組成物が形成される工程;
を含む、発泡組成物を製造するプロセスにも関する。
[使用される材料]
エラストマーA:ポリテトラメチレンオキシドソフトセグメント55重量%およびポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)ハードセグメントを含む、コポリエーテル-エステルエラストマーであって、ショアD硬度33(ISO 868)およびMFI33cm3/10分(230℃での荷重2.16kg)(ISO 1133)を有し、かつ熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマーにおけるハードセグメントの融解温度が、窒素雰囲気下での加熱および冷却速度10℃/分を用いて、ISO11357-1:1997に準拠して第2加熱曲線においてDSCで測定される161.5℃である、コポリエーテル-エステルエラストマー。
ESO:エポキシ化ダイズ油
Phosflex:TPP、モノ-t-ブト-TPP、ビス-t-ブト-TPP、トリ-t-ブト-TPPのブレンドである、Phosflex 71 B HP

表1に示す様々な可塑剤のタイプおよび量とエラストマーAを配合することによって、発泡用の組成物を調製した。表1に示す融解温度は、窒素雰囲気下での加熱および冷却速度10℃/分でのDSCにおける第2加熱サイクル中の熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマー組成物中のハードセグメントのピーク融解温度である。続いて、外側寸法(lateral dimension)80×80mmおよび表1に示す様々な厚さを有するプレートを射出成形した。発泡試験のために、外側寸法15×15mmの試料をこれらのプレートから切断した。
-外側寸法15×15mmおよび表1に示す厚さを有する試料を圧力容器に入れ、それを表1に示す発泡温度まで電気的に加熱した。実施例13において、範囲3~5mmの寸法を有する、指定の組成物の顆粒(ビーズとも呼ばれる)を加圧容器に入れ、それを表1に示す発泡温度まで電気的に加熱した。
-続いて、ブースターポンプを介して圧力容器に連結されたCO2キャニスターによって、表1に示す圧力にてCO2でキャビティを満たした。
-表1に示すソーキング(soaking)時間の間、組成物にCO2を吸収させた。
-圧力容器を開放し、そのため急速に圧力が低下した結果、発泡組成物が生じた。
-圧力容器を開放して1分以内に表面の泡に関して試料を目視検査し、試料の内部に亀裂が存在することが分かった。亀裂の指標を示す試料の例を図1の右列に示す。図1の左列は、亀裂を含まない試料を示す。
-試料中にまだ存在するCO2を拡散させるために発泡させて24時間後に、バーニヤゲージを使用して、長さ、幅および厚さを測定することによって、試料の体積を決定した。試料の質量は秤量によって決定され、試料の密度は質量を体積で割ることによって決定された。
Claims (8)
- 組成物の総量に対して、70~99重量%の量で熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマーと、1~30重量%の量で可塑剤と、を含む発泡組成物であって、
前記熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマーが、ハードセグメントと、ソフトセグメントと、を含み、
前記ハードセグメントが、ブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)またはエチレンテレフタレート(PET)から選択され、かつ前記ソフトセグメントが、ポリ(エチレンオキシド)(PEO)、ポリプロピレンオキシド(PPO)、ポリテトラメチレンオキシド(PTMO)、PEO-PPO-PEOおよびその組み合わせからなる群から選択され、
密度が0.1~0.3g/cm 3 である発泡組成物。 - 可塑剤の量が、前記組成物の総量に対して8~20重量%である、請求項1に記載の発泡組成物。
- 前記可塑剤が、(テレ)フタレートおよびそのエステル、二塩基酸エステル、メリテートおよびそのエステル、シクロヘキサン酸エステル、クエン酸エステル、リン酸エステル、変性植物油エステル、安息香酸エステル、および石油およびその組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1又は2に記載の発泡組成物。

b.組成物を(Tm-100)℃~Tmの発泡温度にする工程であって、Tmが、窒素雰囲気下での加熱および冷却速度10℃/分を用いて、ISO11357-1:1997に準拠して、DSCによって第2加熱曲線において測定される熱可塑性コポリエステルエラストマー組成物のハードセグメントの融解温度である、工程;
c.圧力を維持しながら、加圧下にて物理的発泡剤を前記組成物に提供して、前記組成物に前記物理的発泡剤を実質的に溶解する工程;
d.前記圧力を開放し、それによって密度が0.1~0.3g/cm 3 である発泡組成物が形成される工程;
を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の発泡組成物を製造するプロセス。 - 前記可塑剤が、トリフェニルホスフェート(TPP)、tert-ブチルフェニルジフェニルホスフェート(モノ-t-ブト-TPP)、ジ-tert-ブチルフェニルフェニルホスフェート(ビス-t-ブト-TPP)、トリス(p-tert-ブチルフェニル)ホスフェート(トリ-t-ブト-TPP)、レゾルシノールビス(ジフェニルホスフェート)(RDP)、ジクロロプロピルホスフェート、ビスフェノールAビス-(ジフェニルホスフェート)(BDP)、リン酸トリクレシル(TCP)、トリエチルホスフェート、トリブチルホスフェート(TBP)、トリ-2-エチルヘキシルホスフェート、トリメチルホスフェート、エポキシ化ダイズ油(ESO)、エポキシ化パーム油(EPO)、エポキシ化アマニ油(ELO)、アルガン油およびその組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項7に記載のプロセス。
