Description
特許文献1には、増感剤として、ジフェニルスルホン以外にもベンゾインが併記されている。このベンゾインを特定顕色剤の増感剤として使用した感熱記録材料が特許文献2および3に開示されている。しかし、増感剤としてベンゾインを単独で使用すると印字部にベンゾインの結晶が急速に成長し、いわゆる粉吹きの現象が見られ、見かけ上の濃度が低下するといった問題がある。特に、高印字エネルギー下での印字の際に、粉吹き現象は顕著になる。
などからも選ぶことができ、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではなく、又2種類以上を併用してもよい。
下塗り層は1層でもよく、場合によっては2層以上設けてもよい。
さらに、支持体の裏面側に帯電防止層を設けてもよい。
下記操作により感熱記録材料を作製した。
[下塗り層用塗料の作成]
プラスチック中空粒子(商品名:ローペイクSN-1055:中空率:55% 固形分26.5%)100部、焼成カオリンの50%分散液100部、スチレン-ブタジエン系ラテックス(商品名:L-1571 固形分48%)25部、酸化澱粉の10%水溶液50部および水20部を混合して、下塗り層用塗料を作成した。
まず、表1に示す配合で、ロイコ染料4,4’-ジヒドロキシジフェニルスルホンおよび増感剤1,2-ビス(フェノキシ)エタンのそれぞれに、分散バインダーとして10%ポリビニルアルコール水溶液を混合して、A液(ロイコ染料分散液)、B液(顕色剤分散液)、C液(増感剤分散液)およびD液(増感助剤分散液)を調製した。
この実施例による感熱記録材料の試験結果は、表3に記載の通りであった。
支持体として坪量が53gの上質紙(酸性紙)に下塗り層用塗料を乾燥後の面積当たりの質量が8g/m2となるように塗布および乾燥し、その後、感熱記録用塗料が乾燥後の面積当たりの質量が3.8g/m2になるように塗布乾燥した。得られたシートをス-パーカレンダーで平滑度(JISP8155:2010)が1000~1500sになるように処理して感熱記録材料を作成し、各種試験を行った。
1.感熱記録性試験(発色試験)
本発明に従って作成した感熱記録材料について、感熱記録紙印字試験機(大倉電気社製TH-PMD)を用い、印加エネルギー0.24mJ/dotおよび0.38mJ/dotで印字した。印字前の地肌の白色度、ならびに印加エネルギー負荷後の地肌部の白色度および印字部の発色濃度はマクベス反射濃度計RD-914で測定する。
地肌部と印字部とのコントラストを考慮して、印加エネルギー0.24mJ/dotでの印字部の発色濃度が0.6以上であれば実用上の使用に適合する。
発色試験で得られた印加エネルギー0.38mJ/dotの印字部を1時間放置し、その後、指で擦ることで粉拭きの程度を目視観察する。

実施例1のC液の1,2-ビス(フェノキシ)エタンを1,2-ビス(3-メチルフェノキシ)エタンに代える以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。
この実施例による感熱記録材料の試験結果は、表3に記載の通りであった。
実施例1のC液を69.7部、D液を3.6部に代える以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。
この実施例による感熱記録材料の試験結果は、表3に記載の通りであった。
実施例1のC液を29.3部、D液を44.0部に代える以外は実施例1と同様の操作を行った。

Claims (3)
- 常温で無色ないし淡色の塩基性染料、加熱により前記塩基性染料と反応して呈色し得る顕色剤、増感剤、および増感助剤を含有する感熱記録層を支持体上に設けた感熱記録材料であって、前記顕色剤が4,4’-ジヒドロキシジフェニルスルホンであり、前記増感剤が、1,2-ビス(フェノキシ)エタン、1,2-ビス(3-メチルフェノキシ)エタン、ベンジルオキシナフタレンおよびシュウ酸ジ-p-メチルベンジルエステルから選ばれる少なくとも1種であり、前記増感助剤がベンゾインであることを特徴とする感熱記録材料。
- 前記増感剤と増感助剤との配合比が98:2~40:60である、請求項1記載の感熱記録材料。
- 前記増感剤と増感助剤の配合比が90:10~60:40である、請求項1記載の感熱記録材料。
