ゲル(gel)含量=B/A×100
エポキシ系架橋剤としては、エチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、トリグリシジルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパントリグリシジルエーテル、N,N,N′,N′-テトラグリシジルエチレンジアミンおよびグリセリンジグリシジルエーテルよりなる群から選ばれた一つ以上を使用することができ、アジリジン系架橋剤としては、N,N-トルエン-2,4-ビス(1-アジリジンカルボキサミド)、N,N′-ジフェニルメタン-4,4′-ビス(1-アジリジンカルボキサミド)、トリエチレンメラミン、ビスイソフタロイル-1-(2-メチルアジリジン)およびトリ-1-アジリジニルホスフィンオキシドよりなる群から選ばれた一つ以上を使用することができ、金属キレート系架橋剤としては、アルミニウム、鉄、亜鉛、スズ、チタン、アンチモン、マグネシウムおよび/またはバナジウムのような多価金属がアセチルアセトンまたはアセト酢酸エチル等に配位している化合物を使用することができるが、これに制限されるものではない。
実施例または比較例で製造された粘着偏光板を、横の長さが25mm、縦の長さが200mmになるようにカットして試験片を製造し、試験片をその粘着剤層を介してガラス板に付着させた。試験片の付着後に1時間経過時点で90度の剥離角度および300mm/minの剥離速度で粘着偏光板を剥離しつつ、剥離力を測定した。
実施例または比較例で製造された粘着剤層を7日間恒温恒湿室(温度:23℃、相対湿度:50%)に維持した後、0.2g(=ゲル分率測定数式でA)を採取した。採取された粘着剤層を50mLのエチルアセテートに完全に浸るように入れた後、常温の暗室で1日間保管した。次に、エチルアセテートに溶解しない部分(不溶解分)を200メッシュ(#200)のステンレス金網に採取し、これを150℃で30分間乾燥させて、質量(不溶解分の乾燥質量=ゲル分率測定数式でB)を測定した。次に、前記測定結果を下記式に代入して、ゲル分率(単位:%)を測定した。

実施例または比較例で製造された粘着剤組成物を2枚の離型フィルムの間にコートし、恒温恒湿条件(温度:23℃、相対湿度:50%)で7日間熟成(aging)させて、厚さが約22μmの粘着剤層を製造した。次に、離型フィルムの間の粘着剤をカットして、8mm×1mm(=直径×厚さ)の円周状の試験片を製作した後、動力学的レオロジー特性測定装置(ARES、RDA、TA Instruments Inc.)を使用して、せん断モードで周波数1Hzでパラレルプレート(parallel plate)の間でせん断応力を加えながら、100℃または30℃の温度での貯蔵弾性率、損失弾性率および損失正接を測定した。損失正接は、損失弾性率G″の貯蔵弾性率G′に対する比率G″/G′であり、30℃での損失正接に対する100℃での損失正接を評価した。
実施例または比較例で製造された粘着剤組成物を厚さ40μmのTAC(Triacetyl cellulose)フィルム上に積層し、恒温恒湿条件(温度:23℃、相対湿度:50%)で7日間熟成(aging)させた粘着剤層を製造した。一般的なITO(Indium Tin Oxide)フィルムを横の長さが約50mm程度、縦の長さが約30mm程度になるようにカットして、ITOフィルム試験片を製造した。次に、前記ITOフィルム試験片の上に横方向の両端部にそれぞれ10mm程度の幅で銀ペーストを塗布した。その後、前記粘着剤層を横の長さが約40mm程度、縦の長さが約30mm程度のサイズになるようにカットして、前記銀ペースト上に端部に5mm程度の間隔をもって付着して、ITO腐食テスト用試験片を製造した。前記テスト用試験片を高温高湿の条件(温度:85℃、相対湿度:85%)で約250時間保存した後、線抵抗測定装置(Hioki社3244-60 card hitester)で初期投入前に比べて抵抗の変化率を評価した。
実施例または比較例の粘着偏光板を、横の長さが約140mm程度、縦の長さが約90mm程度になるようにカットして、試験片を製造し、これをガラス基板の上に5kg/cm2の圧力で付着させた。前記付着は、気泡または異物が発生しないように、クリーンルーム(clean room)で作業を行った。次に、製造されたサンプルは、50℃の温度および5kg/cm2の圧力条件で15分間オートクレーブ(Autoclave)で維持された。

発泡サイズは、顕微鏡で光学積層体内に発生した気泡を観察して、そのサイズをマイクロメーター単位で測定して評価した。気泡が観察されない場合には、下記表2および表3に「無し」で示し、粘着剤層が偏光板から剥離される場合には、下記表2および表3に「剥離」で示した。
窒素ガスが還流され、温度調節が容易になるように冷却装置を設置した1Lの反応器にn-ブチルアクリレート(n-BA)、ベンジルアクリレート(BzA)、メチルアクリレート(MA)およびヒドロキシブチルアクリレート(4-HBA)を63:15:20:2の重量比(n-BA:BzA:MA:4-HBA)で投入し、溶剤としてエチルアセテート(EAc)100重量部を投入した。次に、酸素除去のために、窒素ガスを1時間の間パージングした後、反応開始剤としてエチルアセテートに50重量%の濃度に希釈させたアゾビスイソブチロニトリル(AIBN)0.03重量部を投入し、8時間の間反応させて、分子量Mwが約180万g/mol程度である共重合体Aを製造した。
下記表1に示されたような組成を採用したことを除いて、前記製造例1と同じ方法で共重合体を製造した。
粘着剤組成物および粘着剤層の製造
製造例1の共重合体Aにイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Aの固形分100重量部に対して約0.12重量部で配合した。次に、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート(di-n-butyltin dilaurate)系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Aの固形分100重量部に対して約0.001重量部で配合した。その後、さらに、架橋遅延剤としてアセチルアセトン(acetyl acetone)を前記共重合体Aの固形分100重量部に対して約1重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を製造した。前記粘着剤組成物を通常の離型紙上にコートし、乾燥させて、厚さが22μmの均一な粘着剤層を製造した。
厚さが約60μmのポリビニルアルコール(poly(vinyl alcohol);PVA)フィルム(日本合成社、M2004)をヨード約0.05重量%およびヨウ化カリウム約1.5重量%を含む約30℃の染着液に約60秒間浸漬させて染着処理した。次に、染着されたPVAフィルムをホウ素約0.5重量%およびヨウ化カリウム約3.0重量%を含む約30℃の架橋液に約60秒間浸漬させて架橋処理した。その後、架橋させたPVAフィルムをロール間延伸方法を利用して約5.5倍の延伸倍率で延伸させた。延伸されたPVAフィルムを約30℃のイオン交換水に約20秒間浸漬させて水洗し、硝酸亜鉛約2.0重量%およびヨウ化カリウム約5.5重量%を含む約30℃の溶液に約10秒間浸漬させた。その後、PVAフィルムを約80℃の温度で約200秒間乾燥させて偏光子を製造した。前記製造された偏光子内のカリウム含量は約0.8重量%であり、亜鉛含量は約0.17重量%であった。次に、前記偏光子の一面には、7002 Water Vapor Permeation Analyzer(Systech Illinois)装備で規格(ASTM F1249、ISO15506-3)によって約37℃、88.5%(誤差±0.5%)の相対湿度で約24時間の間測定した透湿度WVTRが約5g/(m2・day)程度であるCOP(Cycloolefin polymer)フィルムを接着剤で接着した。次に、前記偏光子の他の面には、公知の偏光子保護フィルムであるTAC(triacetyl cellulose)フィルムを接着剤で接着して偏光板を製造した。
前記製造された粘着剤層を前記偏光板のCOPフィルム面に粘着加工して、粘着偏光板(光学積層体)を製造した。
製造例2の共重合体Bにトルエンジイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-706BB、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約1重量部で配合し、さらに、エポキシ架橋剤(T-743L、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約0.007重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例2の共重合体Bにトルエンジイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-706BB、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約1.2重量部で配合し、さらに、エポキシ架橋剤(T-743L、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約0.005重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例5の共重合体Eに架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Eの固形分100重量部に対して約0.12重量部で配合し、次に、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Eの固形分100重量部に対して約0.006重量部で配合し、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例6の共重合体Fに架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Fの固形分100重量部に対して約0.12重量部で配合し、次に、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Fの固形分100重量部に対して約0.006重量部で配合し、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例8の共重合体Hに架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Hの固形分100重量部に対して約0.14重量部で配合し、次に、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Hの固形分100重量部に対して約0.001重量部で配合し、さらに、架橋遅延剤としてアセチルアセトンを前記共重合体Hの固形分100重量部に対して約1重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例3の共重合体Cにトルエンジイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-706BB、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Cの固形分100重量部に対して約1.7重量部で配合し、さらに、エポキシ架橋剤(T-743L、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約0.005重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例4の共重合体Dに架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Dの固形分100重量部に対して約0.08重量部で配合し、次に、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Dの固形分100重量部に対して約0.006重量部で配合し、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例5の共重合体Eに架橋剤(T-39M、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Eの固形分100重量部に対して約0.08重量部で配合し、約0.5重量%程度の濃度にエチルアセテートに希釈したジ-n-ブチルチンジラウレート系触媒(C-700、HANNONG化成)を前記共重合体Eの固形分100重量部に対して約0.006重量部で配合して適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例7の共重合体Gにトルエンジイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-706BB、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Gの固形分100重量部に対して約1.0重量部で配合し、さらに、エポキシ架橋剤(T-743L、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約0.005重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
製造例2の共重合体Bにトルエンジイソシアネート系架橋剤(T-706BB、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Cの固形分100重量部に対して約0.8重量部で配合し、さらに、エポキシ架橋剤(T-743L、日本Soken社)を前記共重合体Bの固形分100重量部に対して約0.005重量部で配合した後、適正の濃度に希釈して均一に混合した粘着剤組成物を使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同一に粘着剤層と粘着偏光板を製造した。
Claims (17)
- 37℃の温度および88.5%の相対湿度で24時間の間測定した透湿度が100g/(m 2 ・day)以下である光学フィルムを含む光学素子と;前記光学素子の一面に形成されている粘着剤層と;を含み、
前記粘着剤層は、炭素数が4以上のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位、炭素数が3以下のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位、芳香族基含有単量体単位および極性官能基含有単量体単位を有する粘着重合体を含み、
前記極性官能基含有単量体は、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレートであり、
前記極性官能基含有単量体単位は、炭素数が4以上のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位100重量部に対して1~6重量部で粘着重合体に含まれており、
前記粘着剤層は、30℃での損失正接tanδに対する100℃での損失正接tanδの比が1.7以下であり、
前記粘着剤層は、下記数式1によるゲル分率が70重量%以上である光学積層体:

数式1で、Aは、エチルアセテートに浸漬前の粘着剤層の質量(単位:g)であり、Bは、前記粘着剤層をエチルアセテートに常温で24時間の間浸漬させた後に回収した不溶解分の乾燥質量(単位:g)を示す。 - 37℃の温度および88.5%の相対湿度で24時間の間測定した透湿度が100g/(m2・day)以下である光学フィルムは、環状オレフィン高分子フィルム、アクリルフィルムまたはポリエステルフィルムである、請求項1に記載の光学積層体。
- 光学素子は、偏光板である、請求項1または2に記載の光学積層体。
- 偏光板は、偏光子および前記偏光子の一面に形成された透湿度(37℃、88.5%相対湿度、24時間)が100g/m2・day以下である光学フィルムを含む、請求項3に記載の光学積層体。
- 偏光子は、カリウムおよび亜鉛を含むポリビニルアルコール偏光子である、請求項4に記載の光学積層体。
- ポリビニルアルコール偏光子に含まれているカリウムKと亜鉛Znの重量比率K/Znが0.2~6の範囲内である、請求項5に記載の光学積層体。
- カリウムは、ポリビニルアルコール偏光子の総重量を基準として0.1~2重量%で含まれている、請求項5または6に記載の光学積層体。
- 亜鉛は、ポリビニルアルコール偏光子の総重量を基準として0.1~0.5重量%で含まれている、請求項5から7のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 炭素数が4以上のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位の粘着重合体内の比率は、50重量%~70重量%の範囲内である、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 炭素数が3以下のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位が、メチルアクリレート単位である、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 炭素数が3以下のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位は、炭素数が4以上のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位100重量部に対して30~65重量部で粘着重合体に含まれている、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 芳香族基含有単量体単位は、炭素数が4以上のアルキル基を有するアルキル(メタ)アクリレート単位100重量部に対して20~45重量部で粘着重合体に含まれている、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 前記粘着重合体は、多官能性(メタ)アクリレートを更に含む、請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 粘着剤層は、30℃での貯蔵弾性率が0.06MPa以上である、請求項1から14のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 粘着剤層は、粘着重合体を架橋させている架橋剤をさらに含む、請求項1から15のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体。
- 請求項1から16のいずれか一項に記載の光学積層体がその粘着剤層を介して付着されているディスプレイパネルを含むディスプレイ装置。
