一実施形態によるフレキシブル表示装置を図1乃至図5を用いて説明する。図1は、本実施形態によるフレキシブル表示装置を示す断面図である。
上記実施形態に限らず種々の変形が可能である。

Claims (14)
- フレキシブルな表示素子と、
前記表示素子の一方の主面側に配された弾性部材であって、前記表示素子と前記弾性部材との間に空隙が備えられた弾性部材と
を有し、
前記表示素子内と前記弾性部材内とのそれぞれに、第1の中立面及び第2の中立面が別個に位置するように構成されている
ことを特徴とするフレキシブル表示装置。 - 前記弾性部材の弾性率は、前記表示素子の弾性率よりも高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記弾性部材は、前記表示素子の前記一方の主面の一部に配された接着層によって前記表示素子に貼り付けられていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記接着層は、前記表示素子の表示領域の外側に配されていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記表示素子の平面形状は、矩形であり、
前記表示素子の前記一方の主面の前記一部は、前記表示素子の表示領域の外側の第1の辺に沿って延在する第1の領域と、前記第1の辺に平行な、前記表示素子の前記表示領域の外側の第2の辺に沿って延在する第2の領域を含み、前記第1の領域及び前記第2の領域の平面形状は棒状であることを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。 - 前記表示素子の前記一方の主面の前記一部は、前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との間の第3の領域を更に含み、前記第3の領域は棒状であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記第1の辺の方向は、前記表示素子の長手方向に交差する方向であることを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記表示素子の平面形状は、矩形であり、
前記表示素子の前記一方の主面の前記一部は、前記表示素子の四隅における第4の領域、第5の領域、第6の領域及び第7の領域を含むことを特徴とする請求項3又は4に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。 - 前記表示素子の前記一方の主面の前記一部は、前記表示素子の表示領域の外側において前記四隅の中間に位置する領域を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記接着層は、感圧接着剤から成ることを特徴とする請求項3乃至9のいずれか1項に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記弾性部材は、金属を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記弾性部材は、前記表示素子の背面側に配されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
- 前記表示素子は、板状に形成されており、
前記弾性部材は、板状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれか1項に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。 - 前記表示素子は、薄膜トランジスタが形成された薄膜トランジスタ層を含み、
前記第1の中立面が、前記薄膜トランジスタ層内に位置していることを特徴とする請求項1乃至13のいずれか1項に記載のフレキシブル表示装置。
