Description
図1は、本実施の形態に係る燃料電池車両に搭載される燃料電池システム1の構成の一例を示す模式図である。図1に示すように、燃料電池システム1は、燃料電池10と、冷却液供給流路20と、冷却液ポンプ30と、冷却液排出流路40と、バイパス流路50と、ラジエータ流路60と、ラジエータ67と、グリルシャッター68と、ロータリーバルブ70と、システム制御用ECU(Electronic Control Unit)80と、を備えている。また、燃料電池システム1は、インピーダンスセンサ12、温度センサ41及びポンプセンサ32などのセンサ類や、信号配線などを有している。
図2は、燃料電池車両90における、ラジエータ67、ラジエータファン65及びグリルシャッター68の配置の一例を示す模式図である。図2において、X軸正方向を車両前方、X軸負方向を車両後方、Y軸正方向を車両左方、Y軸負方向を車両右方、Z軸正方向を車両上方、Z軸負方向を車両下方、としている。
燃料電池10におけるFCスタックに具備される電解質膜は、適切に湿潤した状態において良好なプロトン伝導性を示す。このため、燃料電池システム1の運転中には、燃料電池10の内部を適切な湿潤状態に保つ必要がある。電解質膜の湿潤度は、インピーダンスから把握できる。すなわち、電解質膜の湿潤度が小さいほど(電解質膜中の水分が少なく乾き気味であるほど)、インピーダンスは大きくなる。電解質膜の湿潤度が大きいほど(電解質膜中の水分が多く濡れ気味であるほど)、インピーダンスは小さくなる。この特性を利用して、燃料電池スタックの発電電流を、例えば1kHzの正弦波で変動させて電圧の変動を見る。そして、1kHzの交流電圧振幅を交流電流振幅で除算することでインピーダンスを求め、このインピーダンスに基づいて電解質膜の湿潤度を得ることができる。
図4は、グリルシャッター68の制御処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図4に示すように、まず、インピーダンスセンサ12により燃料電池10のインピーダンスを測定する(ステップS1)。続いて、制御部81において、インピーダンスの測定値が所定の閾値以上か否かを判定する(ステップS2)。
変形例1にかかる、グリルシャッター68の制御処理の流れについて以下で説明する。なお、以下の説明においては図1も適宜参照する。
図5は、変形例1にかかる、グリルシャッター68の制御処理の流れを示すフローチャートである。図5に示すように、まず、インピーダンスセンサ12により燃料電池10のインピーダンスを測定する(ステップS101)。続いて、制御部81において、インピーダンスの測定値が所定の閾値以上か否かを判定する(ステップS102)。

Claims (2)
- 燃料電池と、
前記燃料電池に冷却液を循環させる冷却液循環流路の途中に設けられ、前記燃料電池を冷却したことにより暖められた冷却液の熱を放出するラジエータと、
空気取入口からラジエータに取り込む空気の流量を調節するグリルシャッターと、
前記燃料電池のインピーダンスを測定するセンサと、
前記グリルシャッターの開閉を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記インピーダンスの測定値が所定の閾値以上になったときに前記グリルシャッターを開けるとともに、
前記インピーダンスの測定値に応じて前記グリルシャッターの開度を調節する、
燃料電池車両。 - 前記所定の閾値は、前記インピーダンスと前記燃料電池の湿潤状態との関係から設定される、請求項1に記載の燃料電池車両。
