Description
<第1工程>
説明図Aは、第1工程を説明するための図である。第1工程で制御部13は、レーザ光2の光軸の向きが第1照射方向30となるように、アクチュエータ12を制御して変位機構11を動かし、レーザ光照射部10および被加工部材20の相対位置を調整する。なおレーザ光の照射領域の走査中、第1照射方向30つまりレーザ光2の光軸の向きは変化してもよい。
説明図Bは、第2工程を説明するための図である。第2工程で制御部13は、レーザ光2の光軸の向きが第2照射方向50となるように、アクチュエータ12を制御して変位機構11を動かし、レーザ光照射部10および被加工部材20の相対位置を調整する。第2工程では、レーザ光の照射領域の走査中、第2照射方向50つまりレーザ光2の光軸の向きは変化しない。
Claims (5)
- 被加工部材を加工して、複数の切れ刃が並ぶ切削工具を製造する方法であって、
照射されるレーザ光の集束箇所を含む筒状照射領域を走査して、前記被加工部材の逃げ面側を加工する工程を備え、
前記逃げ面側を加工する工程は、加工深さを変化させる周期的な走査経路で筒状照射領域を走査して、複数の切れ刃を形成し、
周期的な走査経路は、加工深さが深くなる方向に前記筒状照射領域を前記被加工部材に対して相対移動させる第1経路と、加工深さが浅くなる方向に前記筒状照射領域を前記被加工部材に対して相対移動させる第2経路とを交互に繋げたものであって、第1経路および第2経路におけるレーザ光の照射方向は異なる、
ことを特徴とする切削工具製造方法。 - 被加工部材を加工して、複数の切れ刃が並ぶ切削工具を製造する方法であって、
照射されるレーザ光の集束箇所を含む筒状照射領域を走査して、前記被加工部材の逃げ面側を加工する工程と、
前記逃げ面側を加工する工程におけるレーザ光の照射方向とは異なる方向に照射されるレーザ光の集束箇所を含む筒状照射領域を走査して、前記被加工部材のすくい面側を加工する工程と、を備え、
前記逃げ面側を加工する工程は、加工深さを変化させる周期的な走査経路で筒状照射領域を走査して、複数の切れ刃を形成する、
ことを特徴とする切削工具製造方法。 - 前記逃げ面側を加工する工程は、隣り合う切れ刃先端の間隔が等しくなるように複数の切れ刃を形成する、
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の切削工具製造方法。 - 走査経路は、周期的な波状経路である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の切削工具製造方法。 - 前記被加工部材は、工具母材をダイヤモンドコーティングした部材である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の切削工具製造方法。
