Description
R1は脂肪族基、好ましくはアルキレン基であり、場合により1個以上のオキシアルキレン基を含み、及び
R2は芳香族又は脂肪族基である。
−R1は、アルキレン基−(CH2)n−(式中、nは1〜20、好ましくは2〜12の整数である)又はオキシアルキレン基−[(CH2)m−O]p−(CH2)r(式中、mは1〜10の整数であり、pは1〜10の整数であり、rは1〜10の整数である。)であり、
−R2は、芳香族基又は脂肪族基であるが、好ましくはフェニルであり;並びに、
−x、y、及びzは、互いに独立して、1〜20の整数である。
得られたポリエステルは、
a)上記したようなジカルボン酸、そのエステル又はそれの無水物誘導部分、
b)上記したようなポリオール由来部分、及び
c)メラミン由来部分を含み、
メラミン由来部分がポリエステル骨格中に、a)、b)、及びc)の和に対して好ましくは2〜40モル%、より好ましくは5〜40モル%、さらにより好ましくは10〜30%のモル量で存在する。
窒素入口、撹拌機、カラム、及び温度計を備えた4口ガラス製フラスコに、触媒、ジエチレングリコール、PEG200(ポリエチレングリコール、分子量200)、グリセリン、テレフタル酸、無水フタル酸、及びメラミンを投入した。電線を用いてカラムを高温に維持しながら、温度を240℃まで上昇させた。反応が進行するにつれて、窒素及び撹拌が増大して水の除去が促進されたが、グリコールを噴出させるほど十分な速さではなかった。
窒素入口、撹拌機、カラム、及び温度計を備えた4口ガラス製フラスコに、触媒、ジエチレングリコール、PEG200(ポリエチレングリコール、分子量200)、グリセリン、テレフタル酸、及び無水フタル酸を投入した。電線を用いてカラムを高温に維持しながら、温度を240℃まで上昇させた。反応が進行するにつれて、窒素及び撹拌が増大して水の除去が促進されたが、グリコールを噴出させるほど十分な速さではなかった。酸価が2.0未満であるときにメラミンを添加した。

に相当し、式中、Rは、脂肪族、アラルキル、芳香族、又はその混合物のいずれかである多価有機基であり、zは、Rの原子価に相当する整数であり、少なくとも2である。本明細書で検討する有機ポリイソシアネートの代表例としては、例えば芳香族ジイソシアネート例えば2,4−トルエンジイソシアネート、2,6−トルエンジイソシアネート、2,4−及び2,6−トルエンジイソシアネートの混合物、粗トルエンジイソシアネート、メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネート、粗メチレンジフェニルジイソシアネート等;芳香族トリイソシアネート、例えば4,4’,4’’−トリフェニルメタントリイソシアネート、2,4,6−トルエントリイソシアネート;芳香族テトライソシアネート、例えば4,4’−ジメチルジフェニルメタン−2,2,5,5’−テトライソシアネートなど;アリールアルキルポリイソシアネート、例えばキシリレンジイソシアネート;脂肪族ポリイソシアネート、例えばヘキサメチレン−1,6−ジイソシアネート、リジンジイソシアネートメチルエステル等;及びその混合物が挙げられる。他の有機ポリイソシアネートとしては、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、水添メチレンジフェニルイソシアネート、m−フェニレンジイソシアネート、ナフチレン−1,5−ジイソシアネート、1−メトキシフェニレン−2,4−ジイソシアネート、4,4’−ビフェニレンジイソシアネート、3,3’−ジメトキシ−4,4’−ビフェニルジイソシアネート、3,3’−ジメチル−4,4’−ビフェニルジイソシアネート及び3,3’−ジメチルジフェニルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネートが挙げられる。代表的な脂肪族ポリイソシアネートは、アルキレンジイソシアネート、例えばトリメチレンジイソシアネート、テトラメチレンジイソシアネートおよびヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、4,4’−メチレンビス(シクロヘキシルイソシアネート)等である。代表的な芳香族ポリイソシアネートとしては、m−及びp−フェニレンジイソシアネート、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、2,4−及び2,6−トルエンジイソシアネート、ジアニシジンジイソシアネート、ビトイレンイソシアネート、ナフチレン1,4−ジイソシアネート、ビス(4−イソシアナトフェニル)メテン、ビス(2−メチル−4−イソシアナトフェニル)メタン等が挙げられる。好ましいポリイソシアネートは、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネートであり、特に約30〜約85重量%のメチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)と、2より高い官能価のポリメチレンポリフェニルポリイソシアネートを含む混合物の残りとを含有する混合物である。これらのポリイソシアネートは、当分野で公知の従来方法によって調製される。本発明において、ポリイソシアネート及びポリオールは、好ましくは約0.9〜約5.0の範囲のNCO/OH化学量論比を生じる量で用いられる。本発明において、NCO/OH当量比は、好ましくは約1.0以上及び約3.0以下であり、理想的な範囲は約1.1〜約2.5である。とりわけ好適な有機ポリイソシアネートとしては、ポリメチレンポリフェニルイソシアネート、メチレンビス(フェニルイソシアネート)、トルエンジイソシアネートまたはその組合せが挙げられる。

バッチミキサーを用いて手動混合することによって、発泡体を調製した。使用する材料は、使用前に室温に維持した。ポリエステル、ポリエーテル、全ての触媒、水、発泡剤、及び界面活性剤をブレンドするマスターバッチを調製し、非常によく混合してB面を形成した。B面混合物50グラムを紙カップに添加した。次いでA側(ポリマーイソシアネート)を混合物に添加して、撹拌を6秒間続けた。Foamat装置(Messtechnik社が供給)を使用して、発泡体の高さ及び速度を測定することによって、発泡体の形成速度を監視した。物理的特性は、室温におけるエージングの2週間後に実施した。

- 芳香族又は脂肪族ジカルボン酸及び/又はそのエステル若しくはその無水物と、脂肪族ポリオール又はその混合物と、メラミンと、を反応させることによって得ることができる難燃性ポリエステルポリオールであって、
前記脂肪族ポリオールが少なくともグリコールと、グリセリン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトール、ジペンタエリスリトール、トリペンタエリスリトール、ソルビトール、グルコース、スクロース、ポリグリセロール、及びその混合物からなる群から選択される、2を超えるOH基を有する脂肪族ポリオールを含み、
前記ポリエステルポリオールは、下記式を有し、6,000ダルトンまでの数平均分子量を有する、難燃性ポリエステルポリオール:

- 前記脂肪族または芳香族ジカルボン酸、そのエステルまたは無水物を前記脂肪族ポリオールまたは脂肪族ポリオールの混合物と、添加したメラミンの存在下、120〜300℃の温度にて5時間から50時間の時間にわたって反応させることによって得られる、請求項1に記載のポリエステルポリオール。
- 前記ポリエステルポリオール中で前記ポリエステルポリオールの重量に対して10〜40重量%のメラミン量を達成するための量でメラミンが添加される、請求項1に記載のポリエステルポリオール。
- a)ジカルボン酸、そのエステル又はその無水物由来部分、

- 請求項1に記載のポリエステルポリオールを更にシアヌル酸で中和して得られる、メラミンシアヌレート含有ポリエステルポリオール。
- 前記メラミンシアヌレート含有ポリエステルポリオールに対して0.5〜30重量%の量のシアヌル酸誘導部分を含む、請求項8に記載のメラミンシアヌレート含有ポリエステルポリオール。
- 請求項1に記載のポリエステルポリオールを更にポリリン酸で中和して得られるメラミンポリホスフェート含有ポリエステルポリオール。
- 前記メラミンポリホスフェート含有ポリエステルポリオールに対して0.5〜30重量%の量でポリリン酸を含む、請求項10に記載のメラミンポリホスフェ―ト含有ポリエステルポリオール。
