Description

第2のジャケット外壁の内側に配置され、第2のジャケット外壁に結合した周囲を備えている中子と
を備えており、
ジャケットは、周囲と内壁との間に外壁を形成できるように、周囲を内壁から所定の厚さだけ離している、鋳型アセンブリ。

Claims (11)
- 部品材料から所定の厚さの外壁を有する部品を形成するのに使用される鋳型アセンブリであって、当該鋳型アセンブリが、
内壁を備える鋳型であって、内壁が鋳型内に鋳型キャビティを画成する鋳型と、
鋳型に対して配置されたジャケット付き中子と
を備えており、
ジャケット付き中子が、
内壁に結合した第1のジャケット外壁と、第1のジャケット外壁の内側に位置する第2のジャケット外壁と、それらの間に画成された1以上のジャケット付きキャビティとを備え、1以上のジャケット付きキャビティは溶融状態の部品材料を受け入れるように構成されているジャケットと、
第2のジャケット外壁の内側に配置され、第2のジャケット外壁に結合した周囲を備えている中子と
を備えており、
ジャケットは、周囲と内壁との間に外壁を形成できるように、周囲を内壁から所定の厚さだけ離している、鋳型アセンブリ。 - 第1のジャケット外壁は、周囲を内壁から所定の厚さだけ離す1以上の離間構造を画成するように第2のジャケット外壁に局所的に結合している、請求項1に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- ジャケットは、第1のジャケット外壁の形状が1以上の離間構造の近傍において部品の外形に対応するよう、1以上の離間構造の各々へと挿入されたフィラーを更に含む、請求項2に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 第1のジャケット外壁、第2のジャケット外壁及び1以上のジャケット付きキャビティの組合せの厚さが、所定の厚さに対応する、請求項1に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- ジャケットは、第2のジャケット外壁の内側に配置された対向するジャケット内壁を更に備え、対向するジャケット内壁は、それらの間に1以上の内壁ジャケット付きキャビティを画成しおり、1以上の内壁ジャケット付きキャビティは、溶融状態の部品材料を受け入れ、該キャビティにおいて部品の内壁を形成するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 中子は、ジャケット内壁のうちの第1のジャケット内壁と第2のジャケット外壁との間に位置する1以上のチャンバ中子部分を含む、請求項5に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 中子は、ジャケット内壁のうちの第2のジャケット内壁の内側に位置する1以上のプレナム中子部分を含む、請求項6に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 中子は、部品内に1以上の流体戻りチャネルを画成するように構成された1以上の戻りチャネル中子部分を含み、1以上の流体戻りチャネルは、1以上のチャンバ中子部分によって画成される部品のチャンバに連通する、請求項6に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 中子は、各々が1以上の内壁ジャケット付きキャビティを貫いて延在している複数の内壁開口中子部分を含む、請求項6に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 部品材料は、合金であり、ジャケットは、合金の1以上の構成材料を含むジャケット材料から形成される、請求項1に記載の鋳型アセンブリ。
- 所定の厚さの外壁を有する部品を形成する方法であって、
溶融状態の部品材料を鋳型アセンブリ内に画成された1以上のジャケット付きキャビティへと導入するステップと、
部品材料を冷却して部品を形成するステップと
を含んでおり、
鋳型アセンブリは、鋳型に対して配置されたジャケット付き中子を含み、鋳型は、該鋳型内に鋳型キャビティを画成する内壁を備えており、
ジャケット付き中子が、
内壁に結合した第1のジャケット外壁と、第1のジャケット外壁の内側に位置する第2のジャケット外壁と、それらの間に画成された1以上のジャケット付きキャビティとを備えるジャケットと、
第2のジャケット外壁の内側に配置され、第2のジャケット外壁に結合した周囲を備えている中子と
を備えており、
ジャケットは、周囲を内壁から所定の厚さだけ離しており、
周囲及び内壁は、それらの間に部品の外壁を画成するように協働する、方法。
