Claims (12)
- トラックボール(21)であって、
磁気ボール(23)と、
ボール(23)の少なくとも一部を受けるように構成された凹部(27)を含むハウジング(25)と、
ボール(23)を凹部(27)内に留まらせるため少なくとも1つの磁石(29)を含む手段と、を含み、
凹部(27)の表面は、物質がハウジング(25)の内部に侵入するのを防止する貫通不可能なバリアを形成し、
前記手段は、トラックボール(21)の清浄性を向上させるように構成され、
前記手段は、トラックボール(21)が反転した場合にボール(23)が凹部から落下するのを防止するのに十分な力をボール(23)に加えるように構成されていることを特徴とするトラックボール(21)。 - ボール(23)を凹部(27)内に留まるように機械的に促すための保持リングを含まないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- ハウジング(25)に取り付けられているか又はその一部を形成している少なくとも1つのベアリング要素を含み、少なくとも1つの前記ベアリング要素が、ボール(23)を凹部(27)内に支持するように配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 少なくとも1つの前記ベアリング要素が、ボールベアリング要素及び静止ベアリング要素のうちの1つ又は複数を含むことを特徴とする請求項3に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 少なくとも1つの磁石(29)と磁気ボール(23)との間の距離が変化するように、凹部(27)に対して少なくとも1つの磁石(29)を第1の位置と第2の位置との間で移動させる手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 少なくとも1つの磁石(29)が、永久磁石又は電磁石であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 少なくとも1つの磁石(29)を移動させるための前記手段が、モータ、ソレノイド、ラックアンドピニオン、リニアガイド、レバー装置又はねじ山を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 磁気ボール(23)が、磁気コア(231)、非磁性であるが透磁性の外層(235)、及び/又は磁性の充填材又は粒子を含有する樹脂を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- ボールの知覚される加速度、及び/又は使用中のユーザの指によって感知され得るボールの動きに対する抵抗の変化を介して、トラックボール(21)のユーザにフィードバック又は情報を提供するために、トラックボール(21)は、磁石(29)を動かすように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 磁石(29)は、凹部(27)の近傍でハウジング(25)に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 容量性ユーザ入力装置(35)を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項10のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
- 凹部(27)から物質を排出することを可能にするために凹部(27)内に排水管が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項11のいずれか一項に記載のトラックボール(21)。
