Claims (6)
- 基体と、該基体の上に位置する被覆層とを備え、
該被覆層は、アルミニウム及びチタンを含む窒化物、炭化物又は炭窒化物の少なくとも一種を含有する複数のAlTi層と、アルミニウム及びクロムを含む窒化物、炭化物又は炭窒化物の少なくとも一種を含有する3層以上のAlCr層とを有し、前記AlTi層及び前記AlCr層が交互に積層された構成であって、
前記AlCr層は、前記基体から離れて位置するものほどクロムの含有比率が高いことを特徴とする被覆工具。 - 複数の前記AlCr層のそれぞれにおけるクロムの含有比率は、等差数列で表わされるように前記基体から離れて位置するにしたがって高くなっていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の被覆工具。
- 複数の前記AlCr層のうち前記基体の最も近くに位置するものにおいては、アルミニウムの含有比率がクロムの含有比率よりも高く、
複数の前記AlCr層のうち前記基体から最も離れて位置するものにおいては、クロムの含有比率がアルミニウムの含有比率よりも高いことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の被覆工具。 - 複数の前記AlTi層は、クロムを含有し、
前記AlTi層におけるクロムの含有比率がアルミニウム及びチタンの含有比率よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具。 - 複数の前記AlTi層は、第1AlTi層と、該第1AlTi層よりも前記基体から離れて位置する第2AlTi層とを有し、
前記第2AlTi層におけるクロムの含有比率が、前記第1AlTi層におけるクロムの含有比率よりも高いことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の被覆工具。 - 先端側にポケットを有するホルダと、
前記ポケットに位置する請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の被覆工具とを備えた切削工具。
